My very first worthy animation is cooking right now. We're at frame number 524. That is not bad for less than a day of 4K rendering. EEVEE is such a powerful engine. Unfortunately, there's 1276 frames to go, which means the video will finish on Christmas Day. It would be a shame to half-ass it and put it up here directly. I'll want to apply post production with lighting, contrast and color correction in video editing software. I'll be using an upgraded version of Filmora. It's a very popular program with YouTubers that I have some experience with. It will be one of my New-Years resolutions to get dangerous with it in 2025. I hope to graduate to DaVinci Resolve at some point but Filmora is a slightly less capable product with an easier learning curve. The goal is to get a finished video up in 2024 at all costs, and I will definitely make that goal.

Not surprisingly, work is kicking my butt this week and next with overtime, but I am only scheduled 16 hours the following week. I'll absolutely be caught up with my content quota by then. Thanks ahead of time for your patience as I nail down this major 2024 goal of getting an animation out.

In the very near future, I won't have to wait days for most of my video content to render, missing opportunities to do still virtual photography in DAZ. I've downloaded and installed Unreal 5 Engine. Unreal's latest version renders at a quality level comparable to Cycles, and perhaps even DAZ, and it does it in real time. As impressed as I am with EEVEE's speed and vast quality improvement with it's latest version, you can't beat real-time rendering.

Unfortunately, there was something about this Blender session that would not take to exporting as an FBX file: something required for importing into the Unreal platform. Fortunately, I was able to do proper export using one of my Suck Session Blender files, that I worked up a quick animation for. Hopefully, this will not be a recurring problem. It will also be interesting top see if some of the jiggle physics bones I plan to install on these character will transfer over to Unreal. I'm sure they will.
