Lae'Zel Foot Tease Video (Patreon)
Content
I'm declaring victory here and posting the finalized render of my first video. Videos for 18+ accounts won't upload to Patreon. That's OK. Patreon never had the ability to stream video in the 4K resolution you deserve. Patreon is cool enough to allow me to embed a link to the video via my PCloud account. The file is 50FPS in 4K.
I learned a lot today. Getting the video into Filmora was not an intuitive process. Each frame is assigned 5 seconds by default: making for a 20-hour video. Once the frames were uploaded and scaled correctly on the timeline, the playback frame rate inside the editor was abysmal, even with my RXT4090 on blast. Bouncing everything to an MP4 video and deleting the individual PNG frames from the session solved the problem.
Applying a discrete watermark was easy, as was learning to time stretch and compress different parts of the video so that everything progresses at an even pace (not too fast—not too slow). I loaded the preliminary 30FPS video into Topaz Video AI, and magic happened. For all my complaints, the interpolation of 30FPS into 50FPS was flawless. The auto-saturation, light correction, and color correction were a big improvement.
The biggest flaw of the video was the light flickering and strobe effects that occurred from camera angle 2. This is mostly the result of rendering with EEVEE and will be greatly reduced when I start rendering in Unreal, but this kind of thing happens with live-action video too. There's a simple technique to reduce this effect at the expense of introducing some motion blur. I ran the output video through a final pass of Topaz, making use of its motion deblur option to some good effect. It's not perfect, but the final product is less likely to cause a seizure now. Please be cautious if you are susceptible to strobe effects though these effects are less intense than what you'll see in the average Sci-Fi show.
I have a lot more to learn about Filmora. I'm impressed that this program I purchased for cheap long ago has been upgraded for free to something so professional. A lot of its most interesting features are AI and are locked behind subscription paywalls. BOO! It's nothing I can't learn how to do with Flux for free. I'll be looking to upgrade to DaVinci Resolve in the future.
So please enjoy this promotional video. I added original music with the power of quantum computing. You'll want to turn the volume way up on this one. IT'S SOOOOO METAL! Subscribers, I have no plans to fall behind on exclusive content, but I'm extremely far behind on promoting my work, so I hope you won't mind that I'm making this one a freebie. You'll be getting a ton of video content in 2025 that folks following me on social media will only have a glimpse of.
Cheers!
