I'm back in my studio and have set up all of the shots for this week's posts. These will render overnight and tomorrow. Being away for 6 days was a setback, but I'll have a few hours Saturday to do post-production and get things up on time. I'm off for 4 days straight next week. I'm looking to get my next video into Unreal Engine and begin to work in that space, where real magic will happen. Once I master this, I'll be able to create video content much more regularly. The prospect of long-form videos will also be on the horizon.
I have to confess that I have spent a lot of time in recent weeks combing through and making alterations to my graphic novel, Suck Session. Almost all of these were corrections to text fields: failing to use hyphens and apostrophes, occasional grammatical and capitalization errors. There were visual improvements made to a few of the slides. When I'd make an edit, even a single edit, I'd take the entire book down off of my pCloud account, reupload, do a test purchase on my website, redownload and then skim through the download for any errors or artifacts. I did this 11 times. Finally, I took the whole day Tuesday and scanned through the entire work very carefully. After a few dozen corrections, only one of which required rerendering an image from scratch, I uploaded the book to pCloud one last time. After reviewing a final test purchase I can say that Suck Session is finished and ready for distribution to other platforms. Affect3D will be my first call. I'll likely reach out to any other sites you recommend in the comments. I will not be looking at this novel again in the next couple years. It's a shame. I really enjoy it. It's almost irresistible to me but it's time to move on.
Having finished this project will free up a lot of my time to hone my craft. I have a vacation coming up in a few weeks with no other plans than to move the ball forward.
