I added a lot of tools to the tool box yersterday. I managed to get their feet into shoes without morphing their feet beyond temporarily shortening their toes with a single slider. I was able to export everything into Blender, sculpt the shoes around the feet and import everything back into DAZ.
The sculpting part was a lot of fun. Just a few simple steps and the more I repeated them, the better everything looked.
I also realized just how much better this set looks in DAZ. In the future, If I'm going to do a scene in BVlender, which will be necessary for most animations, I'll want to pick a set piece that was designed with Cycles in mind and not IRAY. The surfaces really pop here and are very reflective.
I was also able to easily turn up the internal room lighting by decreasing the shudder speed. I figured out how to create big ghost lights that are invisible to the camera. I also learned how to create plane ghost lights in DAZ similar to those used in Blender, but they don't show up in reflections. Mirrors are back on the menu!
One big drawback, however is that the light shining through the window was producing fireflies: white dots here and there. I was able to eliminate them by enabling a render function that is usually off be default, but the render times are now 10 times longer. The bottom pic took 2 hours and that was with RXT3090's. Would have taken 8 on my old system. I won't need that function once I get them away from the window.
