Hey team! Been a minute. Let me get y'all up to date.

As of today, all three parts of the Adventure Game Tier List have been compiled and put up on YouTube. They are doing far, far weaker numbers than my usual stuff, and only one got a sponsor, so this project has made me a lot less money than expected! But I just rewatched Part 3 and... damn, I'm really proud of it. And, really, you don't make a 50-game tier list for a niche genre because you expect it to make you rich. You do it because it's what your heart wants.

I also broke the Outer Wilds review out into a standalone vid to make sure people who don't watch the list get to see it (and possibly generate some intrigue for the list itself). Considering doing similar for the King's Quest 2016 non-review, but that one would take more re-editing to contextualize. Pondering it.

I know it's April, but I still haven't figured out this year's quantifica projects. I have a lot going on in my life right now, and need to get through some things before I can make predictions about my year. Might end up doing a series of smaller projects or something, instead of a year-long thing. But I have been making minimixes, and I figure I might as well share them with you instead of saving them for whenever quantifica gets off the ground. So:

Moody vibes this year!

As for what's next: Protagony: Gordon will go public next week (you've already seen it), and then I'm at loose ends for a bit. Currently, I have a completed draft of a video that is definitely not about Andor, and may have completed a draft of my video on John Wick (debating whether it needs a little more plot summary to function). I have also recorded the audio for the talk I gave back in December, I just need to edit it and sync to my slides, whenever I find time for that.

We are in an interesting period if "seeing how the channel does with no more Alt-Right Playbook and after a year away," and so far results are inconclusive! The Patreon is growing, for the first time in quite a while, though I obviously can't maintain "five videos in six weeks" going forward. But, also, not everything I make is gonna be quite so niche. I'm finding what my new audience is gonna be, and we'll discover together what we can make work.

This is all to say: I am not going anywhere. This remains my job, and I'm glad you're with me on this journey.

Well, I for one think the Adventure Game Tier List videos are awesome and I'm taking notes for which games to play next, so thank you so much for them! Take care!

I wouldn't worry too much about the analytics of the tier list videos. All 3 videos use YouTube's new co-author system, which could have affected their performance much more than the content itself. I can only speak personally, but I'm reluctant to click on co-authored videos - it feels like more of a crapshoot, whether you'll get the stuff you like from the creator you know or something you don't from the creator you don't

I can't wait for Protagony: Gordon to go public! I have a few friends who are gonna love it.

Dope. I'm looking forward to the Death of Stalin review. One of my all time favourite films.

Something definitely not about Andor, eh? Most intrigued.

While I realize that Alt-Right playbook is done, I really like the idea of your channel being an entry point to progressive leftism and would support the idea of a project that would make the channel a community hub for us. I don't know what kind of project that could be, though.

Sneaky! Two little lines, tacked onto the end of a Housekeeping note, just made my entire year. Right back at ya.

Your Adventure Game tier list is my favourite YouTube video (if we can call all of it "one" video) in recent memory. Love the "objectivity is overrated" approach to reviewing, instead focusing on the games' personal meaning to you. It's a mantra I've been trying to use myself when describing media I really like to friends and family.
