I wanna watch this so badly, but Devil's Backbone is on my (very soon, I'm serious) watchlist

Erich J. Moffitt

This one hits all the marks, especially with the Rasputina outro. Well done!

Thank you! I left a comment about how Crimson Peak showed me how gay I am (among other things) under the video. Please enjoy!

SO.GOOD! Also, simultaneously capturing everything I love and everything I can't handle when watching del toro movies. Like, to this day, having watched Pan's Labyrinth three times, I have NEVER watched the bottle smashing face scene or the knife cutting cheek and subsequent stitching scenes. I also think there's something notable there about the Swamp Creature eating the cat (WHICH SUCKS AND I HATE IT) but the acknowledgement of the cat's person that the monster did not do it to be monstrous. Like, it's not villainy for a predator to eat prey. But it IS villainy to dehumanize others so much that you lose even a shred of your own humanity. Loving these Vids!

Hit the nail on the head about why I love del Toro so much. One of my absolute favorites in his collection is The Orphanage, which (if you haven't seen it) is really similar to Devil's Backbone. I wondered why you didn't include it!

Jacque Marshall

"actually: Different People." Hey! Credit where due: I just figured out about a year ago that Seth McFarlane & Ricky Gervais are different people! Same last name? TOTALLY FAIR! XD Meanwhile: this is (per usual) fucking brilliant.

I loved this so much. I hope to assign it in my lit theory class when/if the semester starts
