本集為補充教學，來源為Linda的教學影片。繼上集Part 60介紹過的陰陽燭形態Umbrella後，本集會介紹另外一個陰陽燭形態：Eat the Tail (食影線)

Okay, so normally with tails they can also be called price rejection spikes. It's a failed auction where the market reached a new level and failed. Okay, so no buyers came in at the top of this after that failed auction, and so we traditionally think of these tails as giving some type of indication to the opposite direction.

好的，通常情況下，這些尾巴(tail，即上影線或下影線)，被稱為「尖銳的價格封阻」。這是一種失敗的拍賣，市場短暫做了一個新高或新低，但無法站穩。所以，在這次失敗的拍賣之後，沒有買家在頂部進場，因此我們傳統上認為這些尾巴，是價格反轉的徵兆。

Now what I need to say first of all is that tails in light -volume trading range mean nothing, that they also can be pure noise, that there isn't really a significant auction going on. But here at the tops and bottoms of swings, or right when you're first breaking, that is indeed the auction process.

首先我需要說的是，在低交易量的區間內，這些尾巴是沒有意義的，它們只是純粹的噪音[無大意義的隨機走勢]，並不存在真正重要的拍賣過程。但是在波段的頂部和底部，或者當你剛開始突破時，那確實是拍賣過程。

So let's look at this second spot right here where we had the candlestick tail. And the reason I want to go over this a couple times is because so many times it's easy to think that this was a test of this previous low. and this tail actually means that it could be a buy. Of course is nothing further than the truth here and we're going to look down into the dynamics of what really happens.

So here there was a case where the market ate the tail. All right once you see something start to come back down and fill this tail area, there are very high odds that it is going to go through that tail. Sometimes people mistakenly put stops right at the bottom of those tails which is a really poor trade location.

這便是Eat the Tail (食影線)的例子。一旦你看到價格重返影線的區域，並隨之突破，趨勢延續的概率很高。有時候人們會錯誤地，將止損設尾巴的底部，這其實是非常糟糕的交易位置。

隊長按：如何理解這圖的context: 平均線向下，意味價格正處於下跌趨勢。另剛剛做完Bear flag後出現range expansion，單憑一支下影線判斷趨勢反轉不太適合。Context is everything.

I guess some stop is better than no stop. But be mindful that if you see it start to fill, pretty high odds that it will then take that out. If you had a sell stop, surely could have grabbed a few shekels to the downside.

當然設立止損，總比沒有止損好，但要注意的是，如果你看到價格重回影線，出現突破的機率很高。如你設定一個突破影線底部買入的單子(Sell stop)，頗肯定可以在下跌時賺到一些錢。

Not look for these things when there is light volume and lack of volatility, because the odds are that you're just going to be trapped in the noise. On light volume days you tend to go nowhere.

在成交量低和缺乏波動性的時候，千萬不要應用Eat the Tail (食影線)，因為很可能你只會跌落無大意義的隨機走勢陷阱中。在低成交量的日子裡，價格經常原地踏步。

Low volume trading ranges are a marginal environment for reading much into

candlesticks. Much of the action is simply noise.

在低成交量的交易區間內，對蠟燭圖的解讀意義不大。大部分的市場動作只是雜訊。

小結：Eat the tail 的邏輯是strong reversal pattern failure。

可以利用stockcharts.com內置的sample scan library 去尋找Eat the tail的對象 （Dragonfly Doji 以及Gravestone Doji)
