Musicians react & analyze ♡ SEVENTEEN - Getting Closer (MV)

BREATHLESS! SEVENTEEN’s “Getting Closer” (which literally means “Out of Breath” in Korean) just took our breath away—someone save us...srsly. The song is packed with insane musical elements, shifting genres, unexpected melodies, and crazy sound choices. And just from the MV alone, we can already tell that the dance is slammin. We are more than excited to watch the performance video… but we are not sure that we're ready. (Spoiler alert: Future us can confirm SEVENTEEN absolutely destroyed our souls.) If you want to see us go completely dumbfounded by their Live M Countdown Performance & Choreography Video, PLUS! other SVT contents, including Game Caterers and Going Seventeen, hop on and join the party at http://patreon.com/handsomesausages !! :D Kpop producer and singer-songwriter react to SEVENTEEN's Getting Closer (Music Video). omg yesss!!!!!

Ah yes, it’s a great plan to add their stage performance to the next reaction. You’ll be able to hear a great performance by Carats during the dance break, where the fanchant is the members’ full names in order from SCoups to Dino, followed by the reverse order.

ashonashonash

I can't wait for the performance video, cuz that's when the true respect for carats start. Because that fan chant? No joke, I've tried so many times and I keep messing it up. But also the dance is insane so all the best 😂😂

nightshade

Oh man, the performance stage will change your lives. I am not the same person I was before this comeback. The fan chant alone… k-carats most talented fandom (future SMTM winners as Na PD said lol).

Quwarichi

This song is actually one of my favorite all time tracks of Seventeen. Cannot get enough of it no matter what. There's actually an old joke in the fandom that if Don't Wanna Cry had all the members act like the main dancers, Getting Closer had them all act like the main rappers

tim

I really miss this sound..

I was so excited for how you guys would react to this and wasn't disappointed lol. Now, imagine discovering this for the first time, out of nowhere, live at the MAMAs. Caratland was in shambles. I remember watching the award show live and I was almost angry by the end of this performance because how dare they look so good, and drop such a banger song and choreo without prior notice ! Do they want to kill Carats ?

averitablefeast

Looking at some of the older comments on the MV, it did jog my memory that Carats were unhappy at the time because Pledis was planning to move future MV releases to the company Youtube account rather than Seventeen's account like they had been. At this point it's really moot because now all the official MVs are released on the HYBE account.

Getting Closer! along with Call Call Call, forever my queen!

going yellow

i'm sorry but d'some's tiny where are we, kinda killed me.

I understand your reaction because we had to watch this performance during MAMA too and it was where they performed this track first live ;) good luck with their choreo videos hahaha again the fan chant for this song really is INSANE!!!
