THE BEST "FUXXED UP" WE’VE EVER HEARD SEVENTEEN’s “Bad Influence” (produced by Pharrell Williams) had us losing our minds. It's not every day you get such a minimalistic beat with 8-bit distortion paired with this tarry, wet synth. They committed to a specific type of sound here and used only the required amount of wet sources to tease, and to an extent, satisfy our ears. But the real killer, as always, is SEVENTEEN’s vocal skill. Their sultry harmonization made this track feel 29+ real quick. We definitely need an MV. Or at least a Louis Vuitton fashion show performance. Cuz WHY did they have to block censor the swearing?! Please—drop the uncensored version too, because this track is too good to be contained. the censoring pisses me off so much😭idk what’s going on there but this was like my most awaited song of the album so i really hope that explicit version is officially released SOMEWHERE! can’t keep living off of that LV fashion show audio💀

the song was first heard on a Louis Vuitton fashion show! That’s the reason why the audio isn’t so clear because it’s from that exact clip of the show. It’s also what a lot of us carats are living on rn bc that censored version is not the one. LV show is also where jhope’s mona lisa was also first heard😵‍💫

Since you're on to the solo tracks next, seventeen released a listening party of their solo tracks with the members. Most of them also having a first listen to each other's songs as well. Thank you for listening to the uncensored version! Everyone was so hyped for this song, and the censorship was super disappointing. They haven't talked much about this track, which is strange, so I'm hoping there's a music video or at least a separate release for the uncensored version. I like it so much, I want one with all the members

Personally I still prefer the fashion show version. Having the intro and outro are more satisfying for me. It’s also a bit weird that in the fashion show version, Seventeen (especially The 8) is credited as having involvement in the production, but not in the album version. Maybe it was to tie in The 8 as LV brand ambassador so he has more singing parts to it as well. Also, the censoring really destroys the flow of the song and tbh Bad Influence becomes the song I listen to the least from the album (after having so much expectation from it 😭😭)

When i first heard the LV version, I got major whiplash because this is not the usual sound they'd put out. But it's one of the songs in the whole album I'm obsessed with. I now get why, since you dissected the music and how it's mixed. See you guys in the solo tracks! Soo excited 🩵🩷

I do gotta say, they have done songs where they swear and it's covered by the 삐이이- sound so it really caught me off guard that it was censored like that. however, i also like to say that it may have been the members who decided to censor the song; all in all, i;m okay with the song being like this and i hope people just stop being so hateful about it. don't get me wrong, i love me some swear words but i think it's just a song and is enjoyable either way🤷🏽‍♀️. i can't wait for the next track because minghao has been exploring with his sound so much lately that skyfall might be one of my top 5 tracks in the album.

ahhhh it makes me so happy that you checked out both versions because my main issue with the censoring is how oddly it’s done, there’s so many ways to make a clean/cleaner track but to just leave an empty space for such a big word is bizarre to say the least. the concept of an ot12 version was really exciting but i do think that it could’ve been executed differently. as a woozidan his f*cked up did indeed also f*ck me up! also they’re grown men let them swear ffs 😂😂😂 svt just dropped a listening party where they all listen to each others tracks and comment on the process of it all and that would be an amazing video to react to if you have the time after listening to the album! 🫶🏽
