Another CRAZY track.

Already 200% satisfied with the Japanese marathon cuz of Scars and Call XD. It can go downhill (which it won't) from now and we'll still be totally fine. They were that good :)

We talked extensively about this one (which was a surprise yet again because we really thought there wouldn't be much to talk about), including the use of autotune, the genre, the CHORDS, and Han-pop in general, so get ready to brain !!!

And with that, please let us know what you think about our idea of revisiting Scars (performance videos) and Call (the other Christmas vid they shot) in the next video to properly wrap up the two tracks and move onto Circus :)

Okay, ENJOY <3

I am going to love this! As soon as the workday is over .....

So I love this song but I've never seen this video before. I feel like such a bad STAY 😫. Ohh, wow. Whatever place you're at right now D'some has so much natural lighting and it's really pretty and flattering. I completely agree. The heavy auto tune in this song is very charming. It's a very sweet song. As someone who knows nothing about chords, it definitely doesn't sound that complicated to me. Not you immediately asking if they're drunk 🤣😂🤣. Also, it's adorable, because Felix started his part in his normal deep. Register and then went up to his high register kind of quickly, that is so sick. This is one of those videos where it's just chaotic enough that I need to rewatch it many times so I could focus on one person to see what they're doing throughout the entire thing. Who is kevin? Han and his falsetto is so wild. Lol HanPop. This song is so underrated. The lies you tell, you guys are so handsome and the more you cover up, the less we can see. Ohh, absolutely watch the performance videos and the other call video to wrap it up. Yes, scars is such a beautifully emotional song. I do prefer it over call, but call is just so cute and fun.

Talea

Please react to scars live performances and especially to the dance practice video!

Nad

I love this song. :] I love both of them Scars and Call, but Scars holds a special place for me, haha. I think it'll be nice for you to watch some performance videos for Scars to wrap the album up. And that last video for Call. :]

Anna Camilla

Yeahh another SKZ content! Honestly I am just a 20 minutes y/o Stay to know this Christmas video exists??? brb gonna recheck back the other video ^^

NittaLove

Scar performances !! I would love to know about the cords because love hearing y’all dive into the music so we can appreciate it even more

Anna Camilla

Ohh forgot to mention, I think it would be really great if you react to Scars performance videos first, coz all of them are very very beautiful and each of the performance has specific charms to it. Don't forget to check their Halloween version relay dance too, these kids were so chaotic!

Regarding the language they write in, what I've understood from how they've talked about it in lives and such, is that they don't feel proficient enough in Japanese to write full songs in the language, so 3racha (and other members) will write the songs they want in the way they usually do, and then it's translated or rewritten from that by others. As long as the song isn't already released and they're only working with the demo, they can take bigger liberties with changing what needs to be changed so that it sounds the most natural, whereas when it's already out, they're much more limited in translation options because everything have to fit with the already existing version, both meaning- and melody-wise. I don't know if I managed to get that across in a way that makes sense? The distinction being that if they're working from the demo, they are free to rewrite it, but from a released track, they can only translate it. What we do know about Scars specifically, is that it wasn't written with the intention to be a Japanese release at all, it was a Korean song that ultimately didn't make the cut for Levanter. Still, as it wasn't released, they were still free to change whatever was needed. The moment it was out, tho, they were more limited again in their options. It might have changed too far from the original for that one to still be used, and so ending up with having to translate it back more literally.

I love when you break down the music and the chords, it's some of my favouriteparts of your reactions. I always feel like I learn a lot! Would definitely love more of that whenever you feel it's relevant or interesting! Actually, Chan will periodically come to Bubble to complain about how the lyric videos often don't show the right member for the parts. Last time he joked that he'd have to start making them himself. As if that man doesn't have enough to do. Chaotic Kids is the very best. They'll send us into cardiac arrest on the regular, but this right here is what sold me. Goofballs. I think 'CALL' is such a little gem that is very easily overlooked, because nobody remembers that this release exists at all at this point. Especially after Scars became part of The Sound, nobody comes back here. It is very dear to me. Scars, however ... it really is my absolute favourite Stray Kids song of all, and until now hasn't even been close to getting knocked off that throne. I will never say no to more Scars and there's really still so much left from it, so performances + the last 'CALL' next time sounds like a plan! I'm sure others and myself have already bombarded you with enough Scars links, but in summary: ✨️Dance practice https://youtu.be/vVi9rW0UqHI?si=HUWbXlmnoUX0Z_2J ✨️LIVE from Maniac Tour https://youtu.be/Bz2OBoxQBK8?si=V_o9Ne0eLP2aRS3o Performance videos. Awww, don't feel bad! Honestly, when do we have time to go back and see the old stuffs with how they pelt us with new content like they're afraid we'll forget about them?! 😭😭 Like what do they mean "Comeback"??? "Neverf*ckingleft" more like .... 😆😆

Rhea

I love hearing break downs of the chords and theory! I'm a former classical musician but I always struggled with the aural parts of my theory classes--when it's pointed out to me I notice and appreciate it but it's not something my brain will latch on to or hear immediately. (specifically chords/their inversions when it's more complex than I-IV-V-I etc) Hearing you guys discussing these things help me go back and listen with that part of my brain turned on, so I always feel like I get a ton from it.

Star Dust

I'm a Scars girly :)

Songs that have a lot of autotune in them are hard for me to enjoy. Obviously many SKZ songs have autotune - more than I would like, frankly. But used sparingly, sometimes it does feel like it enhances the song. But in some of their other songs, the autotune feels excessive and unnatural. For me that's a big turn-off. IMO "Call" is one of those.

Harley

Scars and Call are two of my absolute favorites from SKZ EVER so I am fully all for more for both!!! I mentioned it in the other video as well but I would also love to suggest the Scars dance practice if you guys wanted to check that out along with the other stuff, it’s amazing!!!!

Lauren

Skz has said before that all Japanese songs are written in Korean first so I would assume that counts for Scars. Km-Markit (sp?), who is credited as a lyricist on their Japanese songs, is the translator so I’m honestly not sure how much is due to 3Racha and how much is due to that person being an incredible lyricist as well as translator.

If Santa's reindeer looked this good no one would sleep Christmas night. The first time I heard this track i thought they sung 'falling' instead of 'calling' ... and I can't unhear it lol. I love the choreo and Performance video for 'Scars' so I vote for that, honestly some of my fav choreo. But I am happy with any SKZ sontent.

Klaramell

In my opinion Scars dance practice is a must watch, just because the choreo is too beautiful to skip. But you could always do both in one video as well since they belong on the same album anyways.
