The LATEST Salon Drip episode featuring SVT members is HERE :DHype Vibes indeed, we got S Coups and Mingyu in the house!

Weirdly ended up talking more about the Sleepy expression debate, but that just shows how many fun K-related stuff there were in this episode for us to elaborate on and explain to you all :) which is great.

Like we said a vid or two ago, we're going to react to Sana's Fridge Interview next, but if you do have a different suggestion, let us know and we may watch that first if enough people want us to do so :)

Hope you will have fun!

Team Mingyu VS Team S.Coups. Let us know XD

Love <3

OHHHH!!!!! CxM!!!! When you guys said they give old couple vibes i thought of CookCoups you guys should check those episodes out too. I feel like any member in seventeen paired with any other member behave like old married couples. They all have been together for so long now, You put any 2 together they either behave like siblings or an old married couple. You guys should also react to the Dogs are Incredible S coups and seungkwan episode its awesomeeee!!!!

I definitely need someone like Mingyu in my life. I'm more of an Scoups as to personality. I also worry and think a lot. So I gotta say, like Scoups, my one-pick is Mingyu☺

krizhe ming

haha they really be a poly-relationship, i guess😆 they even have their bond rings.

anayahss

any seventeen combo together is absolutely hilarious and they play off each other perfectly too. they're an old married polycule of 13 fr. looking forward to sana's fridge interview hehe, that's one of my favorite appearances this year (and still waiting for something something since that ep aired) Another underrated gem is mingyu and joshua in Fairy Table. It's so good and i think you guys will appreciate this duo + the show format as well. https://youtu.be/SbvsTj1fnC8

Mingyu got his circuit racing licsense with DK on "In the SOOP" hopefully you'll get to react to it soon !! Also I would describe myself as the more carefree type who tends to worry much later on if that makes sense, so for that matter I need a S.Coups in my life. <3 #TeamCoups

Mingyu earned his circuit license during “In the SOOP” filming. There was a day in the trip when everyone left the house to do activities they’d mentioned wanting to try during their pre-show interviews. Mingyu went with DK to experience circuit driving, and they both got their licenses right there on the spot! 🔥

Here's what I'll say about Scoups. He's definitely not a born leader. In interviews way back he even says that he didn't think he was right for the position. He thought that Hoshi or Woozi would be a better fit for leading the group. Scoups said once that he grew up as the cute maknae of the house, and that his mother even wanted a girl, so he acted like a cute daughter full of charms. That, and the fact he's very soft hearted, would probably make it so that on paper he's not the best candidate for leading 12 rowdy boys. But he also said that when he became the leader, the CEO pulled him aside and told him that office changes manners. And it really did. It also clearly took a toll on him, mentally, in earlier years. As you get more into their recorded content and arrive at a series called Hit The Road, which is a documentary on their Ode To You 2019 tour, you'll see it more clearly. He was at a war with himself, the soft hearted side and the side that thought that as a leader he has to be tough and commanding. But he's gotten much better. D'some said something that I agreed with - Woozi could be a leader - but his personality is too stubborn to be one the group needs. Recently, in the new Disney+ documentary they're doing for Seventeen, Hoshi says that if the leader they had was one that tried to forcefully pull them along, they wouldn't have survived as long as they did, and that's why he's thankful for Scoups being the leader. Mingyu really is just a positive smart and talented guy. There's no other way to put it. He's just skillful, has a good head on his shoulders, good looks, is charming - he's perfect! Like a very big puppy, I think. And if I'm already talking about older debut days, back then Seventeen barely had any promotions for their group. Pledis was struggling financially even before they debuted a group as big as 13 boys. Seungkwan would call radio shows, approach variety show PDs, and go on as many variety shows as he could to promote the group. I think it lingers even now, the urge to read the room and promote the group, even when the members are capable of handling it on their own. It's what was considered his responsibility, and a lot of his appearances (like the WiFi skit) were what put the group on the map to begin with. I'M EXCITED FOR SANA'S FRIDGE! Fair warning, the subtitles are kinda bad. Not awful, but you can tell that they're not exactly correct. Still, I think you're gonna be really charmed by Woozi during that episode. And, for other suggestions - Hyell's Club has a new episode with Joshua. Just when you think you caught up, they drop another one!

i love mingyu and coups together 😂 our leader and his favorite kid <33 Their chemistry and dynamic is really so unique lol but they work so well together and im really glad they got to debut as a unit. Mingyu earned his circuit license in In the Soop btw! Im sure youll get to it someday, it was really cool to see omg fridge interview next??? I love that ep, hoshi and woozi were so adorable with sana 😂

Anna

loved this! Tysm! That’s why in caratland it’s impossible to just have one bias because all 13 of them are so different but special in their own ways. Each have their own strengths thats why they work so well as a team. Instead of forcing everyone to be the same they embrace their different personalities and their chemistry is so good. You can pair any member of svt and it will still work no awkwardness. Love this so much!

hi

I've mentioned this before but i hope you guys check out some of the non-variety show members too! they dont appear everywhere but when they do it's fire:) like some vernon and the8 content (할명수, 동네스타k, 공파새,etc.) Or 핑계고 ep with dk joshua mingyu and hoshi is a great one too!

As an introvert I relate more with scoups I think. We might worry about all kinds of things together but i can relate with him in that. Personality wise Mingyu just might have a little too much energy for me. I appreciate quiet deep conversations so I'm leaning more to team scoups although realistically speaking, Jang doyeon is probably who I need in my life, I love how she hypes up and really focuses on her guests. I see myself relating and bonding with her more than the other two 😅 I personally think if I ever come across a seventeen member in a normal public place (not in a concert or entertainment setting) I'm the type of fan to run from them than have the courage to say hi whether they have makeup up or not. Not that any of them are not approachable but I'm just that easily overwhelmed. The two times my cousins got me floor seats in their concerts I couldn't talk for a good while and kept backing up when they came near us. She got me awesome, crazy, right in your face, you can zoom into their pores, kind of close seats and as a Carat it was a lot, she was close to finding me by the wall anytime she looked back at me. Joshua got a hold of my cousin's phone and recorded a clip from it and I was nowhere near her even when we were supposed to be beside each other. I am eternally grateful to her and I will cherish those memories. I think a lot of carats I've interacted with have been introverts so any concerts or carat events I've been to, I really feel like I'm with my people.

Hi so this is kinda Seventeen related, but I just rewatched your video of iNSTEAD "recording" with Yoon Dohyun (hope I spelled his name right). But anyway in the video xdz covered YB's Peppermint Candy and I remembered that DK made a video where he sang some of it while playing the guitar so if you're interested here's the link to a video of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9UyYNsfDAQ , no need for reaction content bc the video is so short but if you wanna blessed with DKs raw vocals here is your chance to hear them.

S.Coups is not a natural leader unlike his astrological sign. But he became a good leader in the way Seventeen needs him to be. Soft, but knows when to stand firm. And he will always fight for their rights. In the documentary, "Our Chapter episode 1" S.Coups firmly says to either their manager or asst. manager that he wished they would let them know ahead of time which city they are holding a fan meeting. Just saying, "fan meeting on this date" isn't enough especially if it's just thrown at them without adequate notice it seems. You clearly see the frustration on his face. Even Hoshi said that he wish he could speak like S.Coups like that at times that need it. Mingyu is the "unseen" leader. He is everyone's rock or go-to guy. Hoshi said it right when he told Mingyu, "You are the pillar of Seventeen." If it wasn't Mingyu, they would not have renewed their contract. They all acknowledge that. S.Coups knows that if he needs someone to get things done, it's always Mingyu. It's why everyone wants him along because he is just that capable. We have to also remember that these guys aren't always going to show you their true non-idol self. Who they are truly like in private isn't the same as we see on-screens or even in interviews. There's always a side that we do not know. Mingyu thrives on attention and loves being adored. The idol life with fame suits him and you see he loves being on stage performing. I can't remember which interview or where I read it from, but one of the members said that the one person they do not disturb outside of work is Mingyu. Because he has so many personal projects. In one interview, I think it was S.Coups that said that it is rare that they all 13 members meet together outside of anything non-work related. They don't come together unless it is work. Mingyu and Seungkwan are the "Face of the Group" earlier on. They both went on variety shows to promote Seventeen a lot in the early days. Mingyu is teased a lot and fans love watching the other members tease him. Mingyu doesn't take things personally. I don't think we have ever seen him upset at any of the members during any of Going Seventeen or Inside Seventeen during dance practices. Only once he was not happy about being accused of throwing Woozi during the first time they practice holding him up and then dropping him (Sonogong dance practice). But the camera person noted that Woozi didn't have a solid footing when he landed and so he fell down. Mingyu was wrongly accused and that was the only time I saw a bit of emotions on him. Woozi quickly said he was okay. The clip was cut to show they kept practicing until it was done right. I adore S.Coups, but Mingyu is my ult bias because he is such a well-rounded person.

S.Coups went through a lot of growing pains while becoming Seventeen's leader. He mentioned in an interview that he never imagined himself in that position pre-debut and is more comfortable either doing his own thing or letting others lead him and take care of him. However there's no doubt he was the best choice as Seventeen's leader. The group has so many different (and strong, if not stubborn) personalities that only someone as balanced as S.Coups could manage to balance all of their opinions and be their spokesperson. He can step back and let others take the lead (Hoshi with dancing, Woozi and Vernon with producing, Seungkwan with variety shows etc...) but he also holds enough authority that he can step in and reign them in if things get too chaotic. S.Coups was also known as one of the most "rebellious" trainees pre-debut which also helped the group as he was never afraid to face their management (or even their CEO or Vice President) head-on whenever the members had concerns with how they were managed. I've always thought of him as Seventeen's shield : he creates a safe environment where the members can comfortably grow and experiment without having to think too much about the logistics of everything.

‎seventeen went through a LOT to be who they are today however everything that they went through made them more closer, grateful & grounded. and that is what i find more amazing coz you won't find any other group like them. ‎ ‎nweiz hope you also get to react to these shows after Joshua's Hyell's Club episode: ‎ ‎1. I think reacting to seventeen on mmtg youtube channel next would be fun, its interviews but with more members and some very fun stories are shared. They also do a crossover episode with going seventeen.

raye

I thought they said Mingyu played the 'lead role' for contract renewal and is 'primary contributor 'for their very 'early contract renewal'. I didn't know "If it wasn't Mingyu, they would not have renewed their contract" . I must missed it lol, do you know where they said that ?

rei tezuka

It was in one of his solo interviews on YT. And they touched upon it in Game Caters because PD Na asked who got them to renew. Mingyu himself said that in one of their monthly meetings he initiated the talks with all of them about the renewal; they knew it was coming but no one was talking about it. It also seems true in their reenactment of GoSe where they told Mingyu he would be the one to discuss with the company about any changes. The members seem to trust him a lot. Mingyu is one that always thinks ahead and plans ahead. I wonder for the next contract renewal who will step up to discuss it since he will be in the service by then 🤔 Unless Seungcheol decides to start his own company and manage Seventeen. There are several videos on YT. https://youtu.be/M-NM9prc5q8?si=QGOJ8GlzCNipIRe3 https://youtu.be/L4hv6aTNFvE?si=bQbPUTVMBSx_2ZKr Negotiations is a different story. It was Seungcheol, Seungkwan and Mingyu during the actual negotiations if memory serves me correctly

Jam

I’m team Mingyu! Maybe I resonate a lot with him because we’re both Aries. 🤣 I also wanna suggest a show for you to watch about them renewing their contracts! BUT I FORGOT THE TITLE OF THE SHOW 😭 maybe other carats here could help me?? It’s that one show wherein all 13 of them attended which is very rare hahah they talked about renewing, memories, and what to look out for. I think the hosts were comedians as well? Omg i can’t remember much. But it was a great watch!!! 😭🖤

Jam

Also I can’t wait for y’all to know more about Jeonghan?? He’s one of my biases (I have 3! 3J - Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun) and I love him so much but also he has this personality that I personally think will clash with mine as well HAHAHAHHA he’s a very interesting man 🤣

raye

Yeah I’ve seen that, and I know Mingyu was the one who initiated it and was the Main Character for their early contract renewal, and that he played a huge role leading the heavy talk. I just never heard “they would not have renewed the contract,” because based on from other members’ interviews they were going to a renew contract (maybe not the 1 year early), and I heard Mingyu made it happen as the pillar way faster and smoother. From everything I know, SVT was always willing to renew their previous contract before, and of course Mingyu played an important role as initiator, leading and was main character in it. The recent person that was asked the previous 2021 contract Qs on youtube was The8, here talks about talk renewal and conditions in https://youtu.be/u9_sc3lt8YI?si=r1TVq6vn9h5gPFiV What I understood is that Mingyu initiated it 1 year early and played a big important role since it was heavy discussion before the contract renewal. To me, the significance was their early 1-year contract renewal in his role of doing it in 2021 instead 2022, which made the group more solid and close together. Him being the pillar of SVT helped lot as well. I just never heard of them saying they would not renew their previous contract, ever unless I'm still missing that info. As old carat, this time for next contract I cannot guess what is actually going to happen for their upcoming contract renewal next year 2026 in July. This is the most uneasy period I ever felt being as carat. SVT does say they will challenge eternity and want keep going a much they can. Lots things is happening now if they renew in 9 months, I hope they get favourable conditions.

Please watch CxM album making as well! Also that photo of Scoups in the grey robe for Boss is from the MET Gala he went to, and he also got to go to F1 race few months ago since he is the brand ambassador for Boss and they have a team within F1, he also did the ride along in the F1 car at the time, driven by one of the racing drivers of the team. Also I would say their SVT's vice leader would be Jeonghan, he is their emotional vice leader, Scoups has even talked about how Jeonghan has been a strength and safe space for him when leading the group, and listening to everyone's worries, as well as being there for Scoups and for the rest of the members. He can be cheeky, loves to play with the rules of any game, but he is also the heart of the team, brings the gentleness to the team, this is what SVT has said themselves about his presence in the team.

nyk.03

I remember reading that even earlier on in their career, S.Coups would always attend every company meeting relating to Seventeen, even if he didn't say anything. He would then bring what came up back to the group, organize their thoughts, and go back to the management team. Probably partially why in Nana Tour, someone mentioned that S.Coups never keeps secrets from them/ always tells them things right away Years back, he did an interview with Dispatch on VLive about himself in the leader role that I would recommend you watch https://youtu.be/HgXEAibqTdQ?si=6G7lm9JRHfsQzKZE

I agree many ppl learned so many things during Covid. I learned Korean and was able to get TOPIK 4 haha. Also Mingyu and DK got their circuit license together. If you reach that content one day you will see it hehe. Waah who would be a good match for my personality is so hard. I feel I am introverted like Wonu but senstive like DK.... and compared to Mingyu and Coups, I question things more like Coups so to choose between ggyu and coups, how ggyu balances out coups, maybe i should choose ggyu. Ggyu goes well with wonu too as they are roomates so yea i guess
