You already know that we're gon have a LOT of fun discussions with a "RECORDING BEHIND" video :D

Recording behind vids are quite rare, since we usually get an MV making film, or at best, production behind. So when we saw that they got a recording behind video for Lemon Drop, we HAD to react to it and talk about things :)

And shoutout to Emma XD

Apart from that, like we say in the video, we're likely going to drop something else fun very soon before the week is over, so look forward to that :D and try to guess what it could be!!

Ohh funnnn 😍 Are you gonna react to the production behind as well? We all know you like to thirst over Ateez as much as we doo (*cough* pools scenes...) 😏😂

Love watching these behind and always proud to see them having so many thoughts on their work. For the questions, Emma is the pet of the recording studio owner(?)/responsible person. I checked the lyric book of golden hour albums and albums of previous era randomly, the studio is always ‘In Grid Studio’ so they might collaborate with them for years and very familiar with each other. For the engineer and director, in the credit list of lemon drop, written that the song was recorded by two staff(양영은&여민수) and I googled their names, turns out one is female so they might be the two appeared in this video. So interesting learning these details that I might not aware before and thank you guys! Atinys plz point out if my explanation is wrong:)

I really love recording behind things soooo much XD I didn't notice the ad-lib of hongjoong behind his line (naughty naughty, parade parade) at first, but after watching it, I can clearly hear that part in the song so it's really fun to watch behind stuff and listen to it again. And mingi's showtime too🤣 Emma is the puppy of the studio engineer. She has her own Instagram account and she follows the account named 'Ingrid studio'. I have no idea who the engineer was exactly. Because in the credits, mixing and mastering were done by different engineers. About the director, I thought it could be Maddox at first cause he's one of the composers and arrangers of this song and the background vocals were done by him too. But now, I'm not so sure about that hehe.

This isn’t my specialty, so I may be wrong, but I think there’s two reasons for the difference in recording between the rappers and vocalists. First, it’s the rapport. There’s years of experience between Mingi and Hongjoong and also with the team, with a good, long catalogue to show for it. Secondly- in Hongjoong’s case- he’s often contributed more than he’s credited for. He’s admitted that even if he’s involved/assisting, if he feels like he didn’t “pull his weight,” he won’t slap his name on the credits. Admirable, maybe even a bit too humble…

We only get these recording behinds because ATINY BEGGED for years for music production behinds. This is the most we get. Hongjoong and Mingi are the only members who have produced ATEEZ tracks (Mingi never works with Edenary [at least they don't credit him] but he and his team wrote and produced Royal) and they seem to get a lot more freedom to do what they want with their parts - like during Empty Box when Hongjoong decided to sing. I think the majority of ATINY believe they are not credited properly. (For example - Hongjoong got a composing credit on Eenie Meenie even though he was a feature that lasted 19 seconds but hasn't been credited on ATEEZ songs we've seen him work on.) I have no idea why they don't get composing credits when their parts have different rhythms. The boys love Emma and so do we! Not only is she cute - she's also how we know they are in the booth! Woo and Yeo especially can't seem to stop themselves from posting photos of her!

As much as I love these recording behinds - I gotta say I think my favorites are the ones we get from HoHong! Both Yunho and Hongjoong seem pretty comfortable being recorded and I LOOOOVE seeing Hongjoong direct Yunho! Both because we finally get to see both sides but also the way they work together is delightful! I loved 'Be Alright' (logbook 165). I was SO HAPPY that the Slide to Me Production Behind includes recording footage of them! Mingi also has some recording behind footage in his 'ROAR' Production Behind but alas - 'Legacy" does not.

I know we're passed Golden Hour 2 era, but I think you guys would like the Ice On My Teeth recording behind too. It has recording and dance practice behind in the video. Mingi is always pretty loose, silly, and quick when he's in the booth. Though he was definitely sillier in this one lol. It's like how Hongjoong gets a little crazy 😂 I figure it's all apart of the process and they look like they're having fun 😊 Unfortunately there's no recording behind for IYF 😭 but we have the mv-making film. I hope you guys can continue checking out their recording and production behinds! I'd also suggest their 2025 April Fool's video.

I agree it's kind of funny they don't just say which edenary member it is instead of putting 'engineer' or 'director' since we know who they are lol - like they sometimes do with the bbtrippin members
