Rocky and The King back to back, and let me tell you all...THEY SHOULD'VE COMBINED ALL OG JAPANESE TRACKS IN THESE ALBUMS AND PUT IT IN A SINGLE ALBUM FOR AN ULTIMATE JAPANESE ALBUM.

So as you know, Rocky, we've already checked out (the Boxer version, which I think is also being used in this video) in the past. But we've never heard The King before, and WE LOVED IT. Where did this come from??? Seriously. We did hear from one of the Sausages that there is a sample in The King that is also used in BamBam's Last Parade, and the way they used that sample here is just beautiful.

Yeh so...we said it in the intro, but we've already shot the next video, and the track we checked out in that video further supports the idea of PUTTING OG JAP TRACKS IN ONE ALBUM.

Ah - The King. Ruler of the KQ Basement. I still see ATINY call out for her. I randomly found ATEEZ (I don't consume much Korean media) between Don't Stop and this album so it was my first official comeback (even though I was still figuring out what that meant.) From my perspective now I have a couple of thoughts. This was when they had been cranking out Korean albums pretty quickly and maybe they didn't have time to work on many original Japanese songs. They were also still with Columbia then and things did seem to change when they switched to Universal in Japan. And the Japanese versions were songs from Edenary. As times goes on they will work with more outside writers in Japan. My second thought - now that I know how things work better and have more original Japanese songs to love - is that I HATE it! Bring back the versions because the original Japanese songs ARE TRAPPED IN JAPAN! I will never be able to go there and so I will never have the tiniest chance to see any of their Japanese songs live. The current album is so good I was actually full of rage about it for days! FREE THE JAPANESE SONGS!!! I WANT TO SEE NOT OKAY AND FACE! Water - They spent most of that tour randomly pouring water on each other and even flinging it at ATINY. It's a thing.

Love The King, so underrated. Also, that same sample is in Enhypen's latest MAMA performance, which was insane!

I could be mistaken, but what I've seen is the release of Japanese title tracks, then Japanese concerts as follow-ups. Releasing a whole bunch of Japanese versions of songs they've already made -- and have choreo and performance plans for -- allows them to prepackage ahead of a concert that they'll perform "mostly" in Japanese. They have to learn 1 new choreo and then can recycle their performance needs for the other tracks. And now they've built a repertoire of Japanese versions they can take straight to concerts, which there seem to be a lot of. But yes, The King is a win of a track that I wish would see the light in other languages, but I also understand that some songs just want to live as they were written.
