We suspect that a lot of you were looking forward to Paradigm. Just a hunch. XD Given how, uhm, CRAZY IT WAS MAYBE?

Gon say it just one more time: they needed to coin all the OG Japanese tracks into a single album.

That out of the way, I think part of the reason we loved Paradigm (along with other Japanese tracks like The King) a lot more than some of the more recent tracks is because we all miss the slightly older ATEEZ sound (i.e., Guerrilla-Bouncy era). Not that Golden Hour era is bad or anything—after all, every artist needs to evolve musically for their own sake—but we can't help but think that this sound is what best captures the essence of ATEEZ music. Just sayin! XD

Okay, so here's an important question.

What do we do with Guerrilla Flag Version? That's the HJ-Guitar video right?

I think we had two links for that, so let us know what we should check out. And guide us on how we should tackle the upcoming tracks so we can plan ahead :)

I just screamed a tiny bit ... This was when I started demanding more jongho center dances. 😭 This is my favorite Mingi rap of all time. I'll never get over yeosangs slide into his part at 4:13 and hongjoong wobbly leg move at 5:25. I giggled a little bit when you said "flag version whatever that is" yeee 🤗

Regarding Wooyong, I think he twisted his leg or something like that, during day 1 of the tour in Tokyo in May 2023 and was in pain when he danced on day 2, so he performed sitting down. As for Cyberpunk in Japanese, I like this version, but it's split in two; I don't know if it's possible to watch it consecutively. And also Poppia KCON 2022 signature song: Ateez's version is memorable, especially compared to the versions by other groups, without meaning to put anyone down.

Actually this might be the most divisive ATEEZ song. It wasn't especially well received. It does have people who LOVE it but overall I think there are more ATINY who don't. I don't - and it is entirely because of that one sound in the chorus. I call it the Electric Mosquito. I HAAATE it. It's intensely irritating. But I like the rest of the song - especially the smooth bridge harmonies and Hongjoong's bit with his wobbly leg dance. The problem with Japanese tracks is the lack of stuff. They don't get a lot of chances to perform them and when they do they are often cut to the standard 2.5 minutes. Then they aren't posted and if we post them they get yanked. AND they make it super risky to record during shows and showcases so we don't get that many fancams either. Maybe you get an obstructed view of Wooyoung or something. Which is why I get sad when they release good songs in Japan *sobs* Wooyoung had an (I think this time it was his ankle) injury. We knew he kinda hurt himself at practice well before they left for Japan and ATINY told him to take it easy but he wouldn't - so during the first concert he had to finally give in and sit down for the rest of the show - which means he was on the stool for the whole televised second show. (which becomes the DVD) He was not happy about it. But it was cute because the guys kept playing with him to try cheering him up a bit and ATINY in front of him played with him too.

Guerrilla (Flag ver) - it's hard to give you the best video for because it evolved quite a bit of the tour and none of the DVDs are from places where they go for broke the most. They always feel more controlled in Korea - a bit less so in Japan - but in the Americas and Europe they often just let loose. I am still heartbroken they have never properly filmed a concert overseas with the loud-ass crowds. Paris or Brazil especially would be INSANE *sobs*

I actually originally didn't like Paradigm because of the "mosquito" noise in the chorus. It was really grating to my ears to listen to. But I loved EVERYTHING else about Paradigm! 😅 I love the rest of it so much that I have finally tolerated or just got used to that "mosquito" noise. Before Ashes to Light, Paradigm was tied for 4th place for me in my top 5 Japanese Ateez tracks. The other song you haven't gotten to yet. I need to rethink my list tho of AtL. 🤔

Wow you are better than me. It's the one song that has never grown on me. I kinda wish they'd do a "remix" without the mosquito! Then I could listen to the pretty harmonies
