This was SO endearing | [2 Kids Room 2025] Ep.09 Hyunjin X HAN

Oh this was AMAZING. Thank you SO much Han and Hyunjin for being vulnerable, being open, and loving each other the way you do :') True geniuses, both of them. And yeh, we knew that this episode would be the polar opposite to Lee Know and I.N but WOW was it emotional. Also, kinda wrong about even that because the next episode is Changbin and Bang Chan and they're probably the more fitting ones for being polar opposite to these two XD Either way, this season keeps proving itself to be the best season. Let's keep it coming :D And as always, we provided extra captions so we hope you enjoy them, and also, in case you are confused, we've actually reacted to pretty much every single "kids" room series from SKZ already over at our patreon page, so we're very much aware of what's been going on with the past kids series, including 2 kids show and heart kids room. if you wish to see all our reaction to all other "kids" series, as well as other SKZ related contents, get early access, join our livestreams and much more, visit our patreon page at http://patreon.com/handsomesausages ! :) Kpop producer and singer-songwriter react to [2 Kids Room 2025] Ep.09 Hyunjin X HAN Reaction.

I have such mixed feelings about 2KR as a series, it's amazing to get these deeper conversations and insights from the members but a part of me always wonders how comfortable they truly are with being this open on camera. Maybe it's just because it would be so far out of my own comfort zone, but it feels so weird for it to almost be an expectation of their job to have these personal conversations. It just seems like a grey area to me, maybe they are genuinely ok with/or just used to this level of openness which is great, and obviously I'm sure they do consider what they want/are comfortable with talking about. Like, we've seen some members take it more lightly and add more teasing/banter so I know they have input and an element of control in the content of the video, but sometimes I am left with a feeling of intrusiveness, almost like I'm eavesdropping on a conversation I'm not a part of. This could definitely just be a me problem/personal bias and overall I do love the 2KR series, just needed to get some of these thoughts out I guess!

One of my favorite episodes. The 'reveal' of the running away story really rocked Stayville - like we'd known something had happened, but that it was to the point where Hyunjin and members were using a trip as a reason to talk to Han.. how heavy that must have been. Almost like an intervention. And Hyunjin talking about how everyone was reaching their hand out, but Han couldn't see it... this episode makes me tear up. It's so good to see them maturing and getting healthily, mentally.

I really love this season of 2kr because of how you can see they opened up and finally relaxed. It doesn't really feel forced since the more private members are still mostly joking and having fun in the episodes but the ones that really want to almost reassure fans with how they are feeling and doing are finally able to. This specific episode is definitely one of the best to watch from a fans perspective. I only wish we could go through them quicker or more regularly since there are rumors of a comeback happening and that could again postpone it which would be a shame. I had only one question about Hyunjin calling Han a weak spot of the group. I don't think that is an appropriate translation of whatever he said cause it really doesn't make sense with the rest of his sentence, could you guys maybe explain what it was about?

Renata

They will always be family! Fighting is part of being a family.

Han being my ult bias, I love his dynamic with every member but especially with Hyunjin, their relationship seems really deep and beautiful. Enemies to besties in real life. Jisung is a guy who doesn't get deep very often and I love that Hyunjin brings that out of him in this video. I'm so glad he told Jisung all those things that he needed to hear. I remember being so worried about Jisung when he was in a bad place mentally. I love that now, we can really see how healthy and happy he is and every time they mention the Jisung from the past, it makes me cry. I'm so proud of him! Can't wait for you to get to the last episode. Changbin and Han are my other favorite duo and they did not disappoint.

I mean I think we can see very well when comparing the various different 2 kids series that their comfortability in front of the camera and their willingness to open up to fans (and to each other!) has really grown, and at a very natural pace. this most recent series wouldn't have existed on the same level it does now without the more surface-level earlier episodes, and those more surface-level earlier episodes also show us that if they wanted to just keep it to that level, they can. it's not like they're /forced/ to open up more, but since they do, they're more comfortable doing that now. at least that's how I feel! I'm also sure that (especially with where they are as a group now) if this was a series they didn't like doing, they could just tell the company to stop renewing it. but I also remember some of them having said that they like this series partly /because/ it gives them the opportunity to open up like that! I'm with you on the fact that I personally could never do something like this though haha, but I could never be a person in the public eye in general, so...

Brianna E

All very valid points! I guess because I watched all the series within the last year or two, the length of time from the first series to this most recent one is harder to grasp, but it definitely seems to have become more comfortable over time for them which is great. For me it's less of a 2KR specific issue (that feels like a strong word but idk how else to word it) and just an overall wariness of making content out of more personal/emotional moments. I do believe the members are confident/comfortable enough in their position to hold to their own boundaries, and am so glad they are willing to share these sides of themselves with us and even enjoy having the opportunity to do so.

Just woke up in Japan to this… great way to start my trip…

I knew you’re gonna love it this one, I loved too, bc like you say, is about how you resolve the conflicts, I thinks that were you see how much you care for the other person, bc you want to solved the problem and be good again. I cry when I saw this, bc I could felt the love and care they have for each other and I was so glad they can relate with one and other, bc they know they can spiral so they learn how to talk and act with care so don’t hurt their feelings anymore, obviously arguments are natural but i feel they now know how to resolve everything more easy. Idk is so special to me hear them talk like that so open, and I’m also glad they have this relationships there are healthy and want to comunícate, and yeah they not need to tell us this and I appreciate they honesty, specially Han is vulnerable and no easy to do, as my bias im happy to hear that. That’s interesting that you mention that D’some, about sometimes you need someone opposite of you to get out of the spiral and so true, i think when you guys get in the episode of Minho and Han you are gonna see that, that’s why I think they are soulmates lol. I’m glad too that SKZ have each other, they really grew together as an artist and a person. BinChan episode is awsomeeee too and yes I think Bin is the pilar of SKZ.

hyunsung my fave skz duo ❤️ (i say that and then cry about literally all the other duos)

I've always wondered if - unlike some other content that SKZ films for us which is meant to be pure entertainment - the 2KR concept was a deliberate mental health measure. I don't know of any other groups that do anything like 2KR. (Let me know if there are others.) But with the tragic losses of some idols (among others, Jonghyun of SHINee in 2017), and with Han's worrisome mental health condition back then, I wonder if Chan / JYP were desperate for something that could not only help the members, but also something that would humanize them with their fans and start important conversations about mental health. Maybe that's just my wishful thinking. (2KR was already established before the loss of ASTRO's Moonbin in 2023, but his passing was especially difficult for the SKZ members and made focusing on mental health even more important for the industry as a whole.) But however the concept started, 2KR has become one of STAY's favorite kinds of content, and I think it actually *has* started important conversations. But most importantly, I think it has given the members an outlet and a safe space. Talking about their concerns and their past/present/future relationships with each other ON CAMERA feels incredibly intimate, even if millions of STAYs are "in the room" so to speak. You'd think it would be the opposite - that it would feel invasive and their fear of having their anxieties publicly exposed would cause them even greater anxiety. But SKZ seem to understand that when they are being that vulnerable, we are ALL family in those moments. We are all listening with compassionate ears, holding their hands, and hugging them. I genuinely think they really do feel that, somehow.

I love our SKZ family married couple 🩶 it’s so interesting to see the different pairings and how they interact because each has their own relationships and I can never pick a favorite!! But these two are so funny and sweet together 🩶🩶 I hope they continue to grow together as an old married couple 😂

Parisienne_abidji

Han & Hyunjii and Changbin & Han were my favorite one from this season of 2 Kids room And i feel like Han really try to open up for real in front of the camera maybe for the first time since his first One kid room

Rina

Actually, most JYPE groups have a variation of this. SKZ is probably the most "therapy"-like, but both Nexz and NiziU are pretty close with their 'NEX2U' (just started first season), and 'To.NiziU'. Both Twice and Itzy does a "girl's night" variation Twice has '2WICE의 데이2' Itzy does '2SDAY' Kickflip and Got7 both do/did a podcast/radio/stream style version with 'Kick 2 Kick' and 'Got2day'. I'm sure other groups and bands does too, I'm just not that familiar. Aaaand parts of 2PM's 'O2', can be seen as the beginnings of the trend, though that's more of a mix of vlogs, hangouts and talks. Specifically the 'Over 2PM's within there is very similar. 😊😊

J.A. Moore

Ah! Didn't know that, but it's great news. I like that the JYP groups do that.

Rina

Same! They have variations of the codes, talkers and intros too, but more on theme for their own groups 😊

J.A. Moore

It might be part of the reason JYPE has a good reputation for mental health support, in contrast to some of the other companies.

Whoa, jumpscare. Han-C you scared the mess out of me. Skz family husband and wife. Oh yeah even though they were beefing when they got to know each other hyunjin knew that Han was a star from the beginning. Oh my gosh wait no speaking of their music I was just talking to some other people about this the other day I don't understand why there is not a Han and hyunjin song out right now. Because Hanpop and Hyunjinpop would devastate me emotionally but I need it right now. Like it genuinely blows my mind that these two have not made a song together yet. And I'm going to need them to remedy that immediately. I don't know why it surprised me that these boys didn't know just how much they were admired by each other but I guess if they don't say anything they're not going to know. But I feel like these two are like two sides of the same coin because they are both very deep and sensitive and emotional and where the heart on their sleeves and artistic and talented and creative and just they're so amazing so lovely. Both of these boys are over thinkers so I'm not surprised at all. Not him calling Han a Tamagotchi. I genuinely love these two together. I love when they pat each other's asses when they're hugging. I'm honestly shocked that Hans ending note with shorter than Hyunjin's Because Han tends to yap. I'm actually crying why did you use that picture as the talk indicator? 😂🤣

Rina

I love this season sooooo much. They're all so open with us, while also each staying true to how we already know them. I don't really see much of a difference in depth, just the inherent difference in their personalities. I'm in awe, coz they definitely don't have to go this far and they do. Han and Hyunjin is a special duo for me because I relate a lot to what they're talking about. Hyunjin is already so much like me that it's a bit scary, and I also have a tendency to go picking at loose ends until my mind unravels completely. You have a lot of great things in store with the rest of these episodes! I cannot wait for the next one, BinChan is something else! Just a heads up, and it might not bother you that much, but the latest SKZCODE episodes (91-92) reference 2Kids Room alot, especially in ep. 91. They mostly summarise each member's personality based on their overall 2KR appearances, so it's not directly spoilery, per se, BUT they do mention the Changbin/Han episode more specifically a few times in it, and that part I do consider a spoiler. Again, it's not the most severe content spoiler, but the episode is best if you don't enter it anticipating what they're referring to. And Changbin/Han was the very last episode of 2KR.

Eden

pls react to other ep as well. I've been craving for this series

LAH-TAY

Why is the episode with Lee Know and I.N missing or am I just crazy and missing it ?
