We got two Changbin MVs in the house.

First, we got a collab with the one and only Kim Chang-wan called "Respect everyone's space (universe)", aka Grade 8 (중2). Then, we got a Changbin solo track called "Fly High".

Both tracks for Samsung Galaxy phones :D

CANNOT believe we missed these. In fact, we didn't even know about them. Like, at all XD

So here we are, catching up with everything we missed :) going through the forever list (finally). We talk plenty in the vid itself, so we'll spare you the talk here, and instead, ask you once more....

should we react to Seungmin osts next? Or do you have a better idea?! :D

OMG!!! That's why kim chang wan was so familiar😂. I just recently finished the drama 'One the woman' and he was on it. He was sooo familiar, but I can't remember where I saw him. It was from this collab lol!! And I love fly high so much that as a long time iphone user, I switched to flip 5 after the mv came out😂 Weeks before fly high came out, stays were asked to submit like stories, If I remember correctly, and some of those were added into the lyrics. And when you check the credits, the ones whose submissions were included was credited alongside changbin too☺️

I only recently saw a few clips from Fly High, before that I had no idea either of these songs existed either so you're not the only ones! Fly High sounded amazing, and I agree with Han-C that I could easily hear Han's style in the song as well. Love that you're diving into all these other tracks and I get to discover more of Stray Kids' work with you! As one of the providers of Seungmin's OST links, YES PLEASE!!!! Would absolutely love it if you could cover them next.

I absolutely adore "Respect". I'm not familiar with Kim Chang-Wan, so the first time I heard him I was like Whoa! Whenever I see OST - I tend to assume 'ballad' and while ballads are beautiful, this song made me sit up. I love the rasp and grit in both of their voices. Again, because Changbin 'sang' some, I just assumed it'd be the softer tone that he usually takes on when singing, but this was just.. rockin' Changbin. It gets me hyped and there is something kind of... longing and emotional in how it's sang - to my ears at least lol. Also, I was so invested in rooting for the 8th graders haha - the song did a great job in taking me back to that age.

I think I might have waited for this one for nearly as long as I waited for Scars! Loved it! Fly High is actually Changbin's third fastest rap of all time (after Mirror Mirror and 3racha's Double Knot version), and he just casually dropped it as a Samsung ad? Illegal. (Also, teacher Changbin? yeah, your girl over here would not have paid attention to the curriculum, that's for sure ....) Fly High was both on Spotify and on Stray Kids' own MV-playlist, and then one day it was privated. I didn't connect the dots for the longest time, until the same happened with 8th Grader a few months after the promotions were over. Then, on the one year-date of 8th grader first being released, and months after it disappeared, Kim Chang Wan reposted it on his own platforms, and it's now listed under Changbin's Spotify profile too. I have made it my mission, should I ever get the opportunity to talk to Changbin, to ask for Fly High on streaming too. I fear that Mnet will remove it, and it'll be lost for us completely. He owns the copyright to it after all, and seeing as that one year-repost of 8th grader seemed a little bit too specific, I suspect that Samsung's rights to the use of the songs expired at 1 year. As for recommendations for next time, this seems to be a fitting time to mention that when you reacted to Seungmin guesting Eunkwang's show, back during ATE era, you never actually reacted to the 2 songs that were sung, that were posted separately! I think Chandora's World used a 'Fly High' clip in their Stray Kids guide - they just dropped the 2026 one at the end of January actually. I never saw the full thing until now, but I have seen a clip or 2. I didn't know about 'Respect Yourself' until the KARMA album came out. I was on the STAYS channel in Stationhead for streaming, so heard it for the first time there. Instantly loved it! (Stationhead is also where I discovered 'Phobia' - Seungmin OST song, not the Stray Kids one. As well as 'Butterflies') For recommendations: the 'Do It' era Idol Human Theater did a 'behind the scenes/making of' for Stray Kids as there was so much content. It's even funnier than the main video. (I will casually mention it would be fun to see you react to my Stray Kids dreamers fanvid or my Chan's Room tribute fanvid. But I don't expect it to happen in any way & it's not like it matters) As a 2nd rec, it's not specifically Stray Kids. But there's a kpop mashup tribute fanvid by NormalSmasher called "2020 Can't Stop Me Kpop Year End Megamix" that I think you guys will really love. Especially as you can appreciate the editing, both with music & video.

I was already shocked when I discover 'Fly High' recently (thank you Chandora's World, I always love your guides) ... I could't believe I had missed! I am so happy several people along with myself recommended it ... BUT I never heard of 'Respect' ... what a RANDOM collab ... These tracks need more love (esp. 'Fly High')... how strange that Samsung took them down, cause Changbin is fantastic and it is not like they don't support SKZ anymore or had a falling out cause they chose Felix as the face of the 'Edge' series ... which I love .. Changbin is Mr 'Ultra' and Felix is the Edge ... suts them well lol ... maybe it had something to do with the products they were promoting? I don't know but I think these need a comeback lol. One of the many man y reasons to love SKZ... They never fail to surprise and impress!!

I had Respect playing all the time when it was available during tge promotion. I didn't realize it was a promotion and why it disappeared at first. I love the rock sound and think it suits Binnie.

I'm here two days later but here we go. Oh absolutely you need to get to all of Seungmin's osts. Yeah these osts definitely came out of nowhere but I'm so here for it. Oh I actually did not know that Samsung took them all down. That's kind of fucked. Binnie's smile is so freaking precious. Oh I like this song A lot actually. Oh this is very much Changbinpop. So Changbin featuring Binnie. Not you bringing in their height. That song Fly High was so short. I needed like 2 more minutes. Again absolutely go through all of Seungmin's osts.

the rap part about those kids are real life stories that were submitted through forms for Changbin to chose and put into his song

They were taken down because they were part of the promotions of specific models (the Samsung Z flip 5 and Samsung Galaxy S24), and there are newer models now. As a company, they want the attention to be on the newest products. Also (my own assumption for this part, someone correct me if you find different info), but while the artist/composers owns the songs, the company the ad is for have the rights to /use/ it for a specific time frame. Their rights for use expires, but the credited ownership remains. This is why, I assume, Kim Chang Wan only reposted 8th Grader a full year (and a day or so, if I remember correctly) after the Samsung campaign was first released, and not immediately after Samsung took it down. They couldn't make money from the song for as long as it was contracted to Samsung. Sort of a quarantine- or cool-down period, if you will.
