Oh, absofreakinglutely. I cannot wait to watch this with you and see your reaction. I'm home and excited to watch this. It's so crazy that you said was that Han in the beginning because it definitely gives off Han Vibes as well. And this is what I mean when I need the Hyunjinpop and Hanpop to come together. Also the video itself is so artistically beautiful. Can I stay that all of stay was so shocked when this song dropped. First of all we weren't expecting anything for his birthday second of all a song called Lover from the engine with this rock Vibe is insane. Yeah it's actually tragic that it's not on spotify. Wait what? I think I would want to hear him perform at least once. In fact I'm hoping that he performs like a clip of it at the fan meet. Not sure I'll write in your own fanfiction to the thought of this song. That's so cute. I think the video is absolutely beautiful. I feel like it definitely fits Hyunjin's vibe. It definitely gives tortured artist. It brings back the yearning that we missed so desperately in songs.

I’ve been waiting for your reaction to this song. Hyunjin’s vocals are incredible, and I want more. It needs to be on streaming platforms. Hyunjin actually talked about the song on fans. He said he imagined a scenario and wrote the song. He also said he has been working on it for a long time, with several recordings done before he got this one.

OMG YESSS 😭 I’m so happy you reacted to Lover while it’s still fresh! I was completely speechless when it dropped and honestly still am. Every part of this song just hits; and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t usually gravitate toward Hyunjin’s solo style. And again… I need this on Spotify lol

Saw the notif pop up, JUMPED from everything I was doing to watch this, I've been waitiiiiing. I agree fully with the "the less the better" part, yes. Yeahhh, can't believe his hair is this long already. This is definitely Hyunjin's most vocally impressive song. I love it so much, can't stop listening to it. Love y'all, my handsomest sausages <3

I keep feeling like with each new Hyunjin song he is finding 'his sound' - and with this one he really, really hit it out of the park. It was so Hyunjin feeling and Hyunjin sounding and still he outdid himself! I really hope this is a style he continues to pursue - I loved it, start to finish. I disagree about the MV though - I think it adds a layer of "art" to it, and Hyunjin Is Art. I'd love if we got a behind the scenes of him just talking with the music directors etc, because as you said, I bet he had a lot of input on how he wanted it to go. I do agree, I'm okay if he never performs this live. Yes, I'd still be happy to hear it live, but when I hear this song, I want to be transported back into that music video and the first time I heard the scratch in his voice on that chorus. P.S. J.A. @6:59 - you guys are saying how you hope Hyunjin never performs this live, for various reasons. I am SO GLAD you said that, because I feel *exactly* the same way. I think this was a one-off recording at the very highest notes his voice can handle, and as Han-C said.....it might hurt his voice to do it that way again. At least until he trains his voice to handle those higher notes on a consistent basis. Also to me, the video itself, with all of the artistic imagery, is a big part of why the overall vibe of the song as a whole is so amazing. That would be lost in a live performance, I think. ------------------------------- More comments / observations: Referring back to the artistic vibe of the video.....that is SO totally Hyunjin. It just represents him so well. I'm sure he had a lot of input as far as his vision for the video. This is the first time I can recall a woman being in any of the SKZ / individual SKZ members' videos. It's also the first time I've seen drinking mentioned, too. "Lover" feels like the most adult / mature video I've ever seen from them. I think there were actually two women in the video - one for the face shots and one for the body shots. WHO WOULD LEAVE HYUNJIN 🤣🤣 Han-C embodying Changbin every time LOL but seriously this was such an unexpected song style for Hyunjin. I loved it so much. He sounded so good it’s so crazy to know that Stray Kids as a group has so much more to discover AND Stray Kids individual members have so much more to give. STAY are so lucky and loved 🥰🥰

Im so glad you all reacted to this! Its been on repeat. I love his sound in this. To know he struggled with his voice a year or so ago and almost quitting skz to then get this on his birthday and he kills it (in a good way) is just heartwarming. Im so proud of him 😭

LOVE 'LOVER' ... Hyunjin tracks are always haunting and full of emotion but this track is even more so because of that pain that we can feel as he pushes his vocals ... I can't get enough of it. This track along with his performance dring the current Fan Meeting just shows how much he has worked on his vocals and recovery ... back bigger and better than ever. And on that note I also agree that he should not perform this live if it will damage all the work he has done ... and we all know Hyunjin likes to let loose and invoke his inner rock star on stage ... I can see him being lost in the music and atmosphere and his vocal cords too far, and I don't want him suffering anymore. Like soooooo many other SKZPlayer/ Record songs this is currently only on YouTube, but you never know they are dropping a new SKZReplay Album later this year which is rumoured to have their unreleased tracks from the '5 Star Dome Tour, and YouTube channels ... I am adding this to my very long list of tracks we need on an album/ streaming services.

I am obsessed with this song. It feels so emotionally raw. Hyunjin's lyrics are always so very distinct to him. He's so deliberate with the words he chooses, and I love that we're getting more and more of it! And knowing how far he's come this year, I'm so proud of him! I.N also dropped a new song a little after his birthday (written by Han), called "The Little things" https://youtu.be/bSZL3ZZC8EE?is=QkYnAu__FNao4sYS And Seungmin is doing his 3racha birthday project, so they are definitely gearing up for the new SKZ-REPLAY album they have announced for later in the year. It has also been announced that their Dome Tour solos will be on the A-side of it, along with 별, 빗, which means unreleased songs for 6 members, and live versions of I.N's "Hug Me" and LeeKnow's "Limbo".

Ran here so fast once I saw the email that you guys reacted to this! D’s reaction was me the entire way through. Just blown away. I disagree about the video though. The video is art! I suddenly felt like a teenager again watching music videos from the 90s on MTV late at night again lol!! Pop Up Video, anyone?? 😆😆 But yes this needs to be on Spotify. So many people would be able to discover Hyunjin’s talent through this song.
