It's the kind of song that overwhelms you in the best way possible :D Had a lot of fun picking this one apart, and of course, loved that we got to check something out from the more recent Burstday era :):)

Fun fact! Woozi actually wrote this song because he was bored and missed his members! He was alone in the studio while the rest of his members were away resting. He got so bored and realized how quiet it was without them around 😆😆

The 10th Anniversary Burst Stage concert was honestly magical. Perfect weather, perfect scenery, perfect set list, Seventeen was in top form and the mood was just so happy ! On top of the fans that were on the bridge (free seats gained through a lottery), they also set up 2 giant screens on the river bank (on both sides of the bridge) for fans who didn't win the lottery. From media reports, there were over 100k people there 😳.

I'm always down for an OST/J-rock/rock track in general, from any group! This song is so linked to their Killing Voice for me, I had it playing in the background in my head as the lyric video was going XD. I absolutely loved how much all the members' vocals were able to shine in this song, especially Woozi sounded fantastic here and I thought his part was PERFECT for his voice. The only thing I would say is because of the genre, this song for me has less of that unique SVT vibe, and I find that while I do love it when I hear it, I don't necessarily crave it/seek it out as much as other tracks I love from them. Also, while I agree this song doesn't need choreography and it was great to see them locked in on delivering some solid vocals, I do wonder what choreo would look like for this track if they did make it? Sidenote: I was right there with Han-C struggling with those downright rude cuts, just let us have a moment to bask in the performance! Also, as a multi-sausage (no idea what the full combo fan name would be, staytinyrat? That seems wrong...someone help!), I knew exactly where you were going with the lyric video outro, very much enjoyed those dance-outs! No recommendations from me for next week, but on the topic of their Japanese discography since you mentioned it, I'd prefer if you kept them in the chronological marathon instead of keeping them until after! Like you said, I think it just maintains the flow better of your journey through their music/albums.

I LOVE THIS SONG! Since the start! Waah! I saw it live during the Follow 2023 concert; it was in the encore! Waaaah it's sooo good! Reminds me of anime too! I have also heard people mention how the lyrics remind them of Your Name. SO GOOD! There is also a Japanese version of this song, btw. Also during the HBD stage. Hoshi requested carats to get run to you to chart. But they were gonna release the HBD album (with 16 songs) next day. lol. So when the album released. Carats made 17 svt songs chart. The 17th one was run to you. I remember Hoshi leaving a post on weverse saying 이게 되네요 or something lol. So cool. Regarding the fanchant, I personally feel Getting Closer is the hardest. 13 member names, eldest to youngest and then youngest to eldest, so yeah, 26 names ㅠㅠ Regarding japanese album/releases, I don't see any harm in watching them. Just one thing, SVT Japanese albums usually have like a new title track Japanese track and the other album tracks being Japanese versions of some of the Korean tracks (as far as I can remember, except one recent 2023 one with 2 new Japanese tracks). But yea we can watch it in order. They are pretty good too!! P.S. A TMI, I love Run To You so much that I wanted the Director's Cut physical album, and at that point, it was no longer being sold. At that time, Woozi had been posting seventeen album cover arts on his Insta, and I had commented how I wish I had the physical album for this. A Philippines carat had DMed me saying they had an extra and could give it to me for free, and I just had to cover the international shipping. I'm from India, btw. Idk how and why, but I trusted her lol. She did send it to me along with some official Wonu-DK Dicon photocards (my bias), a Wonu mousepad and a lovely letter (the letter making me more emotional than the album hehe)! We're still friends to date hehe. (Never met irl yet). [Also, the physical album was re-released a year or two later lol] Sorry for the long comment and TMI. D'some: I wish Seventeen did an anime OST May I introduce you to Tiny Light, the Beastars Final Season Ending Song by SEVENTEEN? Woozi is such a big anime fan so we were all super excited when it was announced since we were all wanting it to happen since Run To You came out. Woozi actually wrote it because he was missing the members one day in the studio and imagined going to them and finding them. I think I almost always kind of tear up during Joshua's "내가 도착하기 전까지 잘 지내고 있어야 해" because he infuses so much emotions into that line. I think this song also really shows that this album is JOSHUA'S album. Seventeen always always ALWAYS sounds better live. The arrangement, the vibe, no matter the song you feel absolutely intoxicated. I had the luck to go see them on tour once and the experience changes the way you interact with them. I didn't get to hear Run To You live, sadly, BUT! Bragging rights to be able to say I heard Lilily Yabbay live. Before I get to Falling For U, ABOUT THE JAPANESE ALBUM: Seventeen don't traditionally do Japanese "albums" per se. They do a Japanese single + Japanese covers of their Korean songs from previous albums. The only thing that matters for better flow in each album is the title track, which in this case was their debut track called CALL CALL CALL and this is a MUST CHECK OUT. I am telling you it is best to just go in order like you have and check it out next, it's just the one song, and you can skip the JP versions. In this album it's the Highlight, 20, Lean on Me, and Love Letter JP versions, and honestly at the end if you still want to check out all the versions in 2023 they came out with a "Best Album" collection called Always Yours with all of their Japanese title tracks + the Japanese versions of the songs they did in each Japanese album over the years so you can just do a marathon on that in the end but I do think it's unnecessary. Seventeen's sound is different (yet still Seventeen) in Japan because Woozi is so familiar with Jrock and Jpop and works to ensure it's a sound that appeals to Japanese audience so just taking the Korean songs and translating them to Japanese can actually detract from them in my opinion. All in all this is just me saying: Finish this album, check out CALL CALL CALL, and then you can move on to the next album which is You Make My Day. NOW FOR FALLING FOR U!!! I actually mentioned this way back when you guys were checking out Say Yes and Simple but it seems that there was some project that they were doing across different albums with the Vocal Unit where they divided up and did a duet/solo instead of the usual unit track, and since we've had Seungkwan and Dokyeom with Say Yes and Woozi with Simple now it's finally time to reveal the last track of the project: JEONGHAN AND JOSHUA WITH FALLING FOR U!!! Run to you is still one of my favourite songs to date. I still remember the goosebumps I had watching an edit of this song on 'Kimi no Nawa' / 'Your Name'. Love it to bits and so happened to fit the storyline so well.

Fun Fact about the Jamsu Bridge performance - A lot of Carats who couldn't make it on the bridge, had rented multiple Yacht's so that they could watch the performance. The yachts were even spotted by the members themselves. Hoshi revealed that they saw a yacht named "Going Carat" out on the water.

If you kinda wanna be in touch with recent stage Jamsugyo stage is really fine to watch. Also I love that you are thinking to go in order of album releases which next should be japanese track release. Its just makes more sense by that way because somehow more full experience to live the era by album releases. I totally recommended you to do so. Also would love if you did just like last time to watch some behind after checking each album for full experiences. Seventeen having one of the top kpop idol in Japan surprisingly have not release full or mini album with all japanese original track. They always release 1 title original (2 original track in 2023 for the fifth japan debut anniversary) and other track is jap ver of their songs. The intention was to as always not wanting to have filler tracks that never get performed and jap ver track are for them to keep the concert setlist but still able to sing it in jap ver. Such rare approached but I personally think it is smart not to waste any songs cuz like I always mention seventeen always sings their discography with no songs left behind. Looking forward for more! Bounce with me 🫶🏻 Thanks for bring DJ Doc’s Run to you back. It was such a big karaoke smash back in my university days. SEVENTEEN’s Run to You is one of my top 10 songs that plays on repeat. I agree this is so Jrock and I wish this was part of an anime theme. I heard Woozi wrote this song when all the members were busy and no one was available to hang out with. Other carats can say more if they know this for sure. But Run to You, Together and Rock with You are the 3 songs played together for me. Thank you 🫶🏻

You’re definitely good to check out their Japanese debut (call call call) after falling for you, as it is only one song lol. Every other song on the album is a Japanese version of older unit songs. I’m so excited you are reacting to the Japanese songs too!

Svt should do an anime ost you say 😏 Oh but they did! Tiny Light for Beastars was released recently, and it's such a banger. Run to You is such a good song and captures that anime-ish JRock vibes. I've seen an edit of it with the movie Your Name and it fits so well. Woozi and SVT are *that* versatile 😌 unfortunately it's not a song that's regularly in their concert setlists, that's why it's amazing that it charted when they performed it in the Burst Stage as per Hoshi's wish. (And yep you're correct; Jeonghan and Wonwoo aren't in the Burst Stage performance because they were already enlisted by then. Also shout out to DK and Woozi in the stage mix omg. They are so gorgeous and fit so well with the concept and vibe Fallin for you!! This song is sooooo good; even after years of listening to it, I still get hair erections. I'm super glad you guys got to watch the Happy Burstday video because a lot of my SVT nostalgia is with performances later in their career since I became a Carat around 2022. Also, its funny that you guys say that this gives you anime intro vibes because a lot of people in the Carat community have said that if this is the intro, then Together is the anime outro (just another reason to look forward to it!)

For even more anime vibes, Run to You in Japanese really works. It's one of the only songs I like in multiple languages. (I'm usually really partial to the original language as I feel that shapes so much of vocal melody and flow and things just don't work quite as well in another language)

IT'S SO ANIME CODED RYT and they actually released a JP version later on too hehe I think this song is one of the songs my friend sent to me before I even got into kpop. i had a huge anime phase back in high school and my kpopper bestie sent me this because it sounded like an anime opening!! it's the first ever song i heard (and loved) from svt (and then 5 ish years later during the pandemic was when i became a cubic then an official carat lol talk about taking my sweet time eh?) I also wish I was at their 10th anniv stage 😭😭 it was so crazy with carats renting yachts to see them + closing that whole bridge and livestreaming it in the parks??
