Couldn't let this album go, so we decided to drag it on with some extra links :D

We got three most recommended links :)

Oh My (Golden Disk Awards), Our dawn is hotter than day (B-Day Party), and Moonwalker (Caratland Vocal Unit).

And let me just tell you, we had a feeling, but gosh were we right to do Moonwalker last XDXD

CUZ IT WAS AMAZING. IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE.

We got lots to talk about in general, but boy do we have some things to say for Moonwalker. This was SO good. Moonwalker was already my favourite, but now, I can confidently say that, yes, it is my favourite from this album.

If there are other links you want us to get to (I know we missed a lot :') Apologies), we can do another round of this before moving on to A-TEEN!

LET US KNOW! :D

You know what? I even remember the “evolution?” ad-lib in Our Dawn Is Hotter Than Day turning into a whole musical 😭

brianne

Not to spoil the fun or something but unfortunately watching the break dances by hoshi makes me sad because of the news earlier that he tore his acl :(( he loves dancing so much, i hope he gets better soon and can still enjoy what he loves the most. His discharge will be sooner but at what cost😒 +Anyway, i just know you’ll love every unit switch performance you will encounter. This is just them proving they can troll and slay all at the same time, this is also proves that they are all arounders. Hahahaha

ddaddu

I don''t know why but the one coughing sounds like Mingyu to me

2026-09-15 00:00 Would definitely recommend either Diamond Edge concert or 2023 Caratland for the first concert watch. Diamond Edge was special bcs it has 3 days with different unit segment each day, and every of that unit segment was sooo mindblowing 🙂‍↔️ (my personal fav was HipHop Unit day segment, even tho I'm Vocal Unit biased). Meanwhile 2023 Caratland would be nice since it's after covid, and carats allowed back to cheer 🤭 and the new segment of performing songs that didnt fit the members was started.

After watching this I feel like you guys have to checkout 1 of their concerts now maybe Diamond edge or Ideal cut, it would be so much fun!!! A little sad news but I wanted to ask a question regarding that situation, Hoshi had a full ACL tear and is going to be going through surgery and I hope nothing but fast and full recovery to him but my question being, What happens in this situation to his rest of the mandatory service, there is a lot of answers online but it is very confusing, so I was wondering if you guys knew anything or maybe even any of the Carats here had any idea.

This feels so right to me somehow!

Sorry not sorry for the length of this comment (yes I paused the video after each section to write my thoughts so I didn't forget anything). Anyways, here we go! GDA: I think I can hear what Han-C was saying, just from the way the instrumental sounded (which was honestly weird to me in general for this song’s performance) it felt like it was higher! The intro they did for Clap was super interesting, I was wondering if they had just fully committed to changing up the song then they finally went into it, so I guess it was more for the transition. Also the random BTS jumpscare (I mean, I love them but was not expecting to see them at all 😅), why was that the only audience reaction we cut to the entire time?? As is typical with awards shows, I didn’t love the filming in general (I felt like I barely, if ever saw Woozi 🙁). And I feel like I’d have to see some of the other performances from this GDA to compare, but this performance did feel kind of safe/underwhelming almost for it being an awards show performance. B-Day Party: The contrast of their styling for this stage, vs. the comforting vibe of the song (to me at least), was so funny, but I did think the song made a lot of sense for this setting! I’m with Han-C that the cut at the end was absolutely foul, I could live with the GDA cut but this one was just not ok. Caratland: Well, I’ve somehow managed to miss this performance up until today (truly, the SVT content is neverending!). This was a whole journey, at first I was thinking I love that the vocal unit can go two ways, either full jokes and chaos, or super serious and professional, then they proceeded to do both in the same performance so jokes on me, should have never doubted their abilities XD. I’m obsessed with how they rearranged the song initially, I’m a huge sucker for strings (and the vocal unit going off together), so that was probably my favourite version of the song I’ve heard. I want to say I could’ve done without the electric guitar (I think that’s what it was near the end of the first part?), but other than that no notes, 100/10, I need this to be an official version of the song I can add to all my playlists! Also, I meant to say this earlier but I love Woozi’s face when he sings. As for the rest of the performance, I also really loved their rendition of the original ver in the middle there, and as you were asking about Seungkwan I was thinking he was probably injured somehow and unable to dance with them- oh, nope sorry he had to turn into an octopus, my bad. It’s not a Caratland vocal unit switch until someone’s dressed up in a costume! Now I need to go watch the behind the scenes to see how this all developed, and how Seungkwan ended up as the octopus. I know it will come eventually (not in a rush at all, so hopefully this doesn’t come across that way!), but I’m so excited to watch you both experience Caratland in its entirety (obviously I haven’t seen all of them either, but the ones I have seen are truly amazing, especially when you watch the behind the scenes content as well to see the full picture). Ok, thank you as always for an amazing reaction, I know I said last week I didn't particularly want/need a follow up for this album but the Carat Sausages provided awesome links and I had a great time watching some new performances I hadn't checked out yet! Looking forward to whatever you end up going with for next week as well (and will try to remain patient waiting to get to You Made My Dawn).

Well, first of all, omg it’s such terrible news that Hoshi is going through this injury. A full ACL tear is one of the worst things that can happen to athletes and performers, so I really hope Hoshi is doing okay. My (I’m Han-C) brother-in-law actually had the exact same injury about 2–3 years ago while he was serving in the military. He completely tore his ACL and had to undergo surgery at a military hospital. Usually, when you get injured during military service, that’s where you go, but since they’re not exactly major hospitals, the quality of care can sometimes be… questionable. When you suffer a serious injury during military service, they consider that you’re no longer able to continue your service, in which case you are given an “early medical discharge”. That’s what happened to my brother-in-law as well. I don’t know if Hoshi’s situation will be any different, but from what I understand, most of serious injuries like this result in an early discharge. Some people might be happy to hear about Hoshi potentially getting an early discharge because it means we’ll get to see him again sooner, but seriously, a full ACL tear is such a scary thing to go through. So I really, really hope Hoshi stays strong and that everything goes well with his surgery.

Priyanka Banerjee

Yea, whatever SVT content I watch today, seeing Hoshi happily play around/dance is making me so sad, knowing the news we got today. I too, really hope he gets well soon, gets a lot of rest and can do what he loves ㅠㅠ

Lots of links & recommendations today. I’ll write about the concert first, and then send the links for next week. For the concert, I agree with most comments, “Diamond Edge” is the perfect first seventeen concert to watch. I found a good full version with eng subs and good quality on Youtube. It’s divided into 2 parts. part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67O9xdQ1KD8&t=6383s part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3sCBihluRQ [Important for scheduling/organization purposes] Pledis originally distributed the concert into 3 sets. Set 1 is the main concert without the unit stages, Set 2 has the encore + behind-the-scenes footage, and Set 3 has the unit stages. This happened because SVT performed their unit stages on different days. Each unit was assigned a "Special Stage" for each night. Fortunately, the YouTube upload I found has the full main concert + encore, with only the behind-the-scenes footage cut out. The same channel also has the full Hip-Hop and Performance Unit stages, but I could only find the Vocal Unit stage on Bilibili: Day 1 (performance unit): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvhJ26aZMQs Day 2 (hip hop unit): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVzAnBlP_TY Day 3 (vocal unit): https://www.bilibili.tv/en/video/4787543320304128?bstar_from=bstar-web.ugc-video-detail.playlist.all NEXT WEEK if you’re choosing “A-TEEN”: “A-TEEN” is an OST for a web series of the same name. It features 5 members: Joshua, Hoshi, Woozi, Vernon, and Dino. There is an OT9 live version from their newest tour, but unfortunately I’m not finding any good-quality clips of it. Also, I don’t know if the SVT marathon includes OSTs, so if you do end up reacting to it, I’m going to be greedy and suggest a 2 in 1 / 1+1 offer and recommend reacting to “9-TEEN” next week as well. “9-TEEN” is another OST from the same drama, released almost a year later, and this one includes all 13 members. I think it’ll be interesting talking about the contrast and similarities between both tracks. Yes, I think I have read before that the cough was from Mingyu.

Handsome Sausages

Wait so is the concert link you shared for day 1? 2? 3? Wouldn't it have at least one of the hiphop/perf/vocal unit performances right? Unless that's a completely separate thing that I misunderstood?? :D

Quwarichi

Okay let's tackle this one by one. FIRST: I was actually surprised by the links you got because I didn't even know there was that performance at Golden Disk! I'm glad I can still discover new stuff about Seventeen this late in the game. I really got to thinking throughout your reaction to this album about it and I think that while my opinion on where I'd rank it hasn't changed, my appreciation for it grew. Moonwalker still takes the cake for me as the number one track though! Would still love to know your guys' rankings for the album! Next, Jamsu Bridge performance: the full thing is on Youtube, actually! When you get to that point in the discography marathon, you should just fully check it out! The setlist has iconic songs (some are a bit far away still, but nonetheless when you get there!) that everyone loves hearing and they did it in an amazing way. I remember watching it live on stream and it was an ExperienceTM. Moonwalker and concert albums: we have been begging for YEARS to get a concert version album. any concert! They do amazing arrangements for each concert that you can't get anywhere else and PLEDIS snipes down anyone who dares try to post the versions of the songs online. There's a concert called Ideal Cut from 2017-2018 that had each member create and perform a solo song, and only THIS YEAR did they start actually registering the songs with KOMCA, and not even all of them yet. Some songs we only heard through distorted fancams (Jeonghan has an amazing song called Purple Rose that has not seen the light of day in almost a decade, I NEED HIM TO RELEASE IT ALREADY) and other than the fact that I think that in this age of the internet more publicity by releasing the songs on youtube/spotify is a good idea, it's just bizzare to me that the company won't even collect them on a separate album and release them for more money, since that's what interests the company the most. If I had to pick a concert to make the arrangements from it into an album it would 100% no hesitation be Follow Again tour from 2024, specifically the Incheon one. It's PHENOMENAL setlist and arrangements. But Be The Sun and even Ode To You would be great! Or Power of Love! But yeah back to my point stuff like Lilili Yabbai Rolling Stones edition and this Moonwalker version - just put it on Spotify PLEDIS! Let us stream it properly! SECOND: I honestly think the best cocnert for you guys to start with will be Diamond Edge. You've covered all the albums that would be featured in it, it's one of the first BIG concerts they ever did, you've seen clips from it already, it's practically fate in my opinion. The videos are divided into MAIN STAGE (full group peformances) and UNIT STAGES (each unit stages, that have about 25 minutes of footage each) ENCORE STAGE (the video of only the encore) and MAKING FILM (if you wanna watch the behind of the concert) Here are the links: MAIN STAGE: https://ok.ru/video/2106070338279 PERFORMANCE UNIT STAGE: https://ok.ru/video/2106091178727 HIPHOP UNIT STAGE: https://ok.ru/video/2106073615079 VOCAL UNIT STAGE: https://ok.ru/video/2106092227303 ENCORE STAGE: https://ok.ru/video/2106094324455 MAKING FILM: https://ok.ru/video/2106094848743 THIRD: As others probably told you, Hoshi completely tore his ACL and we learned about it today. Everyone is pretty worried, but Hoshi doesn't seem concerned (from what he said) and since I know him, he'll probably work hard and do his best to fully recover. We don't know fully what it means for him with discharge/future plans for the stage since he had another 6 months until discharge and a torn ACL takes between 6-9 minimum to recover enough, but we've been through this before with Scoups, and he was up and walking and doing so much two months into his recovery, and 10 months in he was already doing concerts again, albeit in a limited capacity but he was there on stage. So I have full faith in Hoshi and we'll just support him as he recovers and do our best to cheer him on! FOURTH AND LAST: I really wanna see you guys react to A-TEEN since I love it so much, so I'll leave the links I sent last time below again! Yeah that surgery is no joke. I tore my acl around the same time that coups did, and lemme tell you the pain is a bish. I really really hope that he is able to go somewhere and get an appropriate quality of care

The youtube videos are a recording of the DVD, “Diamond Edge in Seoul” concert. The DVD uses footage from the last day of the Seoul concerts, July 16, which was officially the Vocal Unit day. The unit-day arrangement was something they did specifically for the Seoul concerts because the concert was held over 3 days: July 14 (day 1) - only performance unit July 15 (day 2) - only hip hop unit july 16 (day 3) - only vocal unit When they released the DVD, it came as a 3-disc set. Disc 1 is the main concert setlist (without any units) and Disc 2 is the encore. Since none of the three days had all three unit performances together, Pledis put the complete unit stages from all three days on Disc 3 instead. So the Vocal Unit stage was removed from the July 16 recording and placed on Disc 3 alongside the Performance and Hip-Hop Unit stages. That’s why when you watch Part 1 and Part 2 of the concert videos I sent, there are no unit stages! Those videos cover the main concert + encore, while the separate links I sent are the unit performances from Disc 3.

Thunder Monkey

Glastonbury is broken up by song its like 24 individual videos. Does anyone have the link for the full concert?

Alex

Ohhhh, I am so happy you have got the link of the Moonwalker :) Vocal unit cannot help themselves with a bit of humour on such occasions.

carat sebongie

Moonwalker was my favorite track of this album, it's such a good refresh seeing this version. If I remember correctly, seungkwan might have been slightly injured that is why they went for the "chicken" move coz he can't join the original choreography.

Hansol's Gums

omg u guys dk how happy i was when i saw the thumbnail for this video AAAAA it's my first time hearing that version of clap WOW the first part that was different was COOL yes there were other tv screens in the park(?) for those that couldn't fit into the bridge!! there were also carats who rented yachts and watched from the water (amazing) goddamn dk indeed

gyuzii

Vocal unit switch versions are seriously crazy. I mean any unit switch versions are all use they show how versatile the members are but vocal unit for me especially has my jaw dropped every time. The new arrangements always end up being so ethereal and the vocals so unreal that I’m just stun locked the whole performance 😭 gosh that moonwalker version is so good wow, it’s been a while since I watched it so it was like watching it for the first time again 😭😭 your point about releasing the amazing different versions of songs like the VU moonwalker… unfortunately is a feeling we know VERRY well 😭 not even with just different versions of songs but just unreleased songs in general they have quite a few. There’s some unreleased hip hop unit songs, solos, etc. and I’m just like AHHH PLEASE. What Kind Of Future was one of them for a long time as well. Another one being one called Heaven which is a collaboration song/performance that they did with NU’EST (which might be something fun to check out if you want to as well, it’s from 2017) but yeah that one I’m still delusionally hoping one day it will be released LOL woozi just has a secret vault of unreleased song files that I just want to hack into 💀💀

Priyanka Banerjee

This version of Moonwalker is such a package and I love it! I cant wait till we reach Hug cuz I love its original version as well as it's caratland stage! TOO GOOD haha. The Golden Disk rearrangement was so unique too aaah. I wonder what the coughs were haha. Finally Our Dawn is Hotter than Day! One of of my all time fav SVT songs! Top 5 for me! I love it and love all the performances. The Burstday stage one is so nice too just missing Wonu and Hannie tho :(( The whole Burstday stage was really good. And the DK ad-lib in this song is my favvvv. It’s ingrained in my head hehe. Also speaking of Wonu, you know Wonu had once made a slight mistake in one of the Music Bank comeback performances heheh. Its cute and barely a mistake. I think he like sang a bit early or something there was like a second gap and you could hear the backing track? I'm not musically well verse but you would understand it better I guess haha. It's in this video https://youtu.be/Wq0s4GMEF0c?si=jk63K7U017-y-ose and Wonu's part is around 00:50 hehe. Anyways thanks for the reaction guys! It was fun!

Underwater Spaceship

Fun fact: That vernon part is around 6:49 is always freestyled by Vernon in the concerts. So every concert he does a step and the rest have to follow. Which is what you'll see In this performance too - he does it, and the rest of them copy!

Sarah_SVT

Diamond edge or ideal cut is a great shout! I think I have a good quality version in my seventeen concert archives. Just checked I have main set for diamond edge with English subs and separate clips for each unit special stage with no water marks but no eng subs Also have ideal cut with eng subs

Sarah_SVT

I screen recorded it

Bless you for that!!!!! 🩷🩵🩷🩵🩷🩵
