This was SO DEEP!! | BTS - Merry Go Round (MV) Reaction

Merry Go Round was one of our FAVOURITE tracks from Arirang album, and it finally got an MV :D So we HAD to go in depth and try to analyze everything XD We already talked extensively about the track, the lyrics, and what it could represent, but with an added context (thank you Army!) and the visuals, we got to have a whole new perspective about the track :) Still one of our favourites, and if anything, it became even better for us! Whew, I'm gonna out myself and admit I hadn't watched this yet, even though Merry Go Round was also one of my favourite tracks from the album (I'm just not a huge MV person in general). You Never Walk Alone was also on the merry go round in the Spring Day MV, it's one of the more iconic images that comes to mind from BTS' MVs (there was a callback to it in their Yet To Come MV as well). I'm not the person to go to when it comes to the deeper analysis behind those choices though, sorry! As far as the connections to their military service experience, again I'm probably not the most knowledgeable but for the members in the support group-esque scene, it was all the vocal unit members. Jin did get out of military service first, and Jimin and Jungkook served together through the buddy system, but they as well as V and Namjoon all enlisted at almost the same time (I think a day apart). And Yoongi did have that scooter incident/scandal during his military service, maybe the paper scraps flying around him are a reference to the amount of negative media attention/online commentary on that situation? I feel like you could continue to dig and make a lot more connections (I'm sure many out there already have, but again not exactly my lane so I'll stop here for now XD).

I am not sure how much influence they had on the video. But my Personal thought on the circle was that it could reference when they briefly met during their Service (vacation etc.) but then everyone had to leave separately again. It does not fit the Timing of their enlistment. Jin went first, then j-hope, Suga did alternative service. RM, V, Jimin, Jk went mostly at the same time. Jimin and Jk in the buddy system together.

Heyyy, have you guys thought about getting into BTS and their variety shows and content too? They have a bunch of things from debut till now, so hopefully you guys can check them out whenever you get the chance too.

I'm glad you liked this MV. Waiting for your reaction to their extra song, Come Over. They have a lyric MV and if you can find a clip of it performed live. It's a favorite of mine.
