Musicians react & review ♡ SKZ - Get Lit (MV)

HOLY CRAP YEHHH WE GOT LIT IN FLAMES FOR SURE. Or as it is implied in Korean, we died. If you remember, we have been trying to guess when the true B-side track starts to come in in its conventional ways - well, it's SKZ and therefore every track is a title track, but at least DLC showed us that they're slowing things down a bit for the end of the album. But then game this song, with one of the hardest hitting beat drop ever. :') How do you do this SKZ Incredible song that again proves that this album is indeed a 5 star album, and we are SO SO SO hyped for the rest of it. We are going to be rushing through this album so we can check out the rest of the Replay album as much as possible before their next album RockStar drops, so let's marathon through this together this week! As we say in the video, we're also currently reacting to ALL SKZ songs in order over at our patreon, as well as TV series like Kingdom Legendary War, Kingdom Week, and SKZ Survival Show! First! And OH MY GOSH IM SO EXCITED you guys finally got to this one!! It's so good! 😁😁

This is a Han jisung song actually! In the album intro changbin spoke about how he didn’t like the negative connotation of the song being like “party until we die” type thing, but he said after listening to the song he thought the title was the correct title, so funny. Collision is also a Han song so look forward to it :)

Looved this reaction! Doesn’t this song just like…make you lose your mind at first listen? I actually think you musically dissected a lot and it was super interesting! For me, I love all the little slow moments we get in the song, thinking we’re getting a break, and then NOPE (my favorite is Hyunjin’s “swerve swerve swerve sssssssssssh).” I also, of course love Han’s iconic “let’s go,” finger snap, and then that main motif coming in again. Also, this is just my opinion, but given Hyunjin’s mischievous expression when he says “we’ll keep it clean with sparkling water,” I think the lyric may be a wink and a nod to us that adult beverages will indeed be consumed (I *think* he also pours out the sparkling water in the video). But that’s just my theory! As usual, thanks for the great reaction and insight. ✌🏻&🩵

There's a reason this is my favorite. It hits my neurodivergent brain just right. Bang Chan always opposing JYP. During a Q & A Changbin said he liked "Let's Go Die". The whole group were like what? I guess Changbin isn't current in slang. They told him, of course. It was a funny moment when the realization hit.

Han outdid himself for me on this song! I LOVE THIS SONG! I wanna play it in a club, at a festival, every where!! I wish it was longer!!

Another banger ! Can’t wait to see your faces when you hit play for Collision 🙃

This song makes me so tense. At least I know it’s on purpose now :P

Han-c kills me 😹🤣 but this is so great. I love the dissection that you gave here. Im surprised that you have more

Every time I watch this MV I think about how the boots changbin grabs with the chains on them sold out within 24 hours of this music video being released like Stays found the boots and then just bought all of them

This is one of my fav Han songs (it’s so hard to pick because he has so many) but this one was an instant replay for me the moment I heard it. It really just fit the style that I liked! Can’t wait for you guys to listen to Collision next though. Another Han banger 😭 so so excited!

As already mentioned this is one of Han's songs (he also wrote Collision) and he said that in the past months he has been experimenting with new genres. Get Lit came as a surprise, as Han's songs are usually quite laid back and sentimental, like the song 19. However in the past months we have been blessed with many of his solos, that came out as either Stray Kids Records or concert exclusives, which makes me wonder just how much more he has up his sleeve. One song in particular left the fandom/concert goers flabbergasted: it's a rock song called Don't Say performed during their Dome Tour, where Han also played the electric guitar on stage, and it's honestly one of his best, if not his very best performance so far imo. I am leaving here the link in case you want to check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkoR032LWsU (if you do, please let us know *-*) Also, talking about newer songs after the 5 Star release, it would be awesome if you could react to the Stray Kids remix of All my Life by Lil Durk. It came out less than 2 weeks ago and it's the first time that SKZ collaborate with an American rapper. They did such an amazing job in adding their colors to the song, blending it with the original version, and Lil Durk gave them so much freedom to express themselves. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OcsVIvKz8U I wouldn't recommend it if it was just a little featuring (Hyunjin was featured in Rush by Troye Sivan, but he sings for only 8 seconds in the whole song), but in this case we have 1:20 min of the kids singing, which is A LOT in someone else's song. Last by not least, getting back to Get Lit, unfortunately the MV you checked out it's the only version we have of the song. No performance video, no concert set list, no variety show performance, nothing :( So for your next reaction feel free to directly dive into Collision or maybe take a lil detour with All My Life ;)

the part where han goes "let's go" is my roman empire

I think he's knows the slang in Korean, but he translated to English literally. I don't think he knew what the equivalent in English would be. This is the same man that forgot they have a song named 3racha. 🤣

Eng선생님

SKZ is my ULT group. And thanks to your reactions, my appreciation of their music and extreme production talents has deepened. With your backgrounds and experience, y'all point out details I hadn't noticed before. THANK YOU for that.

Thank you so much 🥺 I posted about it also under another video, as I wasn't sure you'd read this comment, so sorry for the repetition 🥲

That was so funny!! 😂😂 I almost died laughing when the editor went, "Did he really lose his memory?" 🤣

Nepkitty

They really dropped this album and said “B-sides? Never heard of her”. Great reaction, as always! I can’t wait for you to get to the rest of the album (Youtiful has a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait for y’all to get to it, though heads up it made me sob when I first heard it and I still sometimes cry when I listen to it) and then do the intros! I think y’all will enjoy the intro videos so much honestly!

We're so excited for the intros honestly :D It's gon add so much to the album! Also, after reacting to FNF we're certain Youtiful is going to be a very special 'end' song!

anushkakusum

genuinely i cannot for the life of me think of a single song on this album that I could genuinely call a B Side. Even the softer quieter songs are so beautiful in their own ways that they absolutely would be a Title song for a different genre of album. I cant wait for you to get to youtiful, it makes me cry so much because of the vibes and the love and genuine beauty in the song!
