Sometimes I do not know what to post, so if there is anything you want to know, feel free to ask without hesitation. Haha.

The new Crimson Prison update will not be especially long, but it will be packed. Just 6,500 words of pure power.

We will dive into the characters' psyche, vaguely explore the lore of the Hayakawa clan while leaving the door open for their future arc. Important information will be revealed, we will end up with many more questions in our heads, and there will be some really good "scenes." 🔥

At the same time, I want to try bringing in a minigame. I want to make something fun without making it too stressful for PC players, since using the cursor can already be complicated enough. I will try to program this minigame in a reusable way, so maybe I can add it later similarly to the casino after it gets used in the main story.

In other news, I have been taking my writing more and more seriously, reading more books and reviving the old dormant habit I had back in middle school.

The last three I finished (all this year) were

La Tregua - Mario Benedetti

13 Latas de Atún - Amanda Escalante

The Adventures of Pinocchio - Carlo Collodi

I loved all of them. Right now I still have Bloom Into You novels, Once Upon a Witch's Death, some Lovecraft works and more waiting for me. Anyway, hahaha, I mention it because I wanted to try something different with this update.

Ever since I started with TSSC, I have always struggled while writing. Whenever I talk to someone IRL or debate with myself, I am basically a parrot. So I end up overexplaining absolutely everything or using four different sentences just to say the same thing. I have been trying really hard to fix that, to leave room for the reader's imagination, to plant doubts… To say more with less.

In this v0.1.6.0 update in particular, I tried to do exactly that (and a little bit in the previous one too). The dialogue boxes will not feel as overloaded, and it will give readers more space to interpret things on their own.

Honestly, I really hope I pulled it off well, haha. If not, I will read your feedback to understand where I messed up. Still, I genuinely feel like it turned out really good.

Meanwhile, here in the devlogs I will completely let loose and write a ton because I do not fry my brain making these posts. If writing 500 words for the game's script costs me 100 neurons, this post only takes 5 from me~~

Woohoo, time to write a looooot.

Lastly, this update is a bit heavy on information, so the one after this will only feature girl quests and side content, just to give the main story a little break before coming back at full force!

If you read all the way to the end, thank you for supporting my game. I love you very much, drink water, and be happy. You matter a lot, never forget that. You are irreplaceable. <3
