Dream Eater - Drones (Patreon)

Some days pass as you near the end of the expedition. You are on watch looking out over the interstellar ocean when you sense something a miss. 

You look round to find a strange glow coming from the captain's quarters. Charging in to find a hideous creature about to do something unspeakable to the captain. You yell out as you charge, rousing many from their slumber. 

The captain awakes, bellows at the creature above him before slashing madly at it. Between you and the captain, you fight it off as it slips away off the ship. 

The captain expresses his gratitude before issuing orders at the crew to give chase to the creatures as more flee the vessel.
