Together at last the siblings reunite with Gretel punching Hansel in the shoulder. Over a few short minutes, Hansel explains he was abducted by someone small that cackled maniacally. 

It was by sheer luck he was able to escape. Hansel directs you and your party to the centre of the woods. The burned down wreckage of a house. The only thing left unscathed was a large oven.

You explore the wreckage, with one of your party deciding to look inside the oven. As they open the door, it explodes into life. The metal form undulates as tencicals and gnashing teeth appear all over its surface... and from the main oven door stares a face. A human skull that screams GRRREEEETTTEEELLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!

If it didn't have that skull. I'd say that this guy could double as a mimic.

Head cannon it this way. A young mimic finds an abandoned destroyed house, inside is an oven. Largely intact from the fire that had engulfed the house. It climbs inside and starts to take over the oven. Strangely, inside, it finds the burnt skull and a few limbs of someone. Having no context, it simply incorporates the skull into its form, using the extra bones as weapons while hunting.
