The seller picks up the pendant and kawrs loudly... from over the trees, a raven far darker than any you've seen before lands on his shoulder. 

"Shouldn't need to explain this one. You get a raven familiar that you can talk to and that you can see through the eyes of, among other things... be warned, he does have a fondness for eyeballs, but who doesn't."
