Hey folks! As this is a poll to gauge information, this poll is public.

For a while now, my big projects follow this format: a Public animation and a Deluxe animation. The Public one goes public (duh!) when the Deluxe is finished. But as you may have noticed, this process takes a while, roughly two months to finish both animations, if not slightly longer, plus an extra few days to do bonus scenes for both (if possible).

Here's the question: should I change this process? Or keep it the same? This poll shall give me info to decide whether or not to make changes. The results of this poll are not the deciding factor and I will have the final say, but if one option wins by a landslide, I'll strongly consider it. Feel free to comment or send a DM if you have strong thoughts on this matter!

If you're happy with how I do things and have no problems with the wait, then please pick no changes. Note that my plans to make quickie interactives between projects (or even between Public / Deluxe animations) is not affected by this poll (unless everyone overwhelmingly tells me they hate interactives lol).

Here are the options I'm considering (multiple choice poll):

No changes: Two animations a project, roughly two months to finish both a Public and a Deluxe animation, with some bonus scenes. The longest option, time-wise. Don't complain how long it takes me to finish a project if you choose this!

Alternative #1: No more Deluxe animation, instead I do one animation per project, and do a bunch of bonus / exclusive scenes purely for Patreon.

Alternative #2: No more Public animation, instead I do an exclusive Deluxe animation per project, with only a tease of the Deluxe going public.

Alternative #3: No more bonus scenes, I focus on finishing a Public and a Deluxe animation and that's it. Will still take a while to make, though!

Alternative #4: I make each Public and Deluxe animation much shorter, perhaps just one big tum scene per animation, so each project is shorter, takes less time to make and I can do more projects per year.

Yes, there could be Alternative #5: do even longer animations, and more Deluxes per project, but this would be insane so it's not on the table, unless you like to wait six months for me to finish an animation.

I personally picked option 3. I've loved almost all of the deluxe animations you do and would be sad to lose them, especially as a patron subscriber. However, I don't really view the extra scenes that often? So I wouldn't mind losing them.

As fun as seeing people even bigger in bonus content, doesn’t really seem worthy of the time having to redo the animation for it

I definitely would say pick one that feels like the most effective and efficient for you creatively and getting your work done slightly better or faster.

I put "no more Deluxes" there just to gauge reactions, and I would assume almost all patrons are here because of the Deluxes. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong? Always best to check with a poll like this, in case I'm way off base and been making Deluxes for years and people don't care much for them haha (Judging by this tho, Deluxes aren't going anywhere)

I know in the past I've bemoaned how tame the Public animations are, but on the other hand I do like how they help set up longer stories, like how in the Pregnancy Contest animations the Public one showed Fawn trying to win while the Deluxe was her modeling after she lost. I suppose the best compromise in my mind would be cutting the bonus scenes, as fun as they can be, but yeah, that's my two cents, honestly I don't mind waiting longer for the high-quality Rive animations.

I've basically given up on doing tamer animations, because they get demonetised even when made "safe". No point compromising a sexy animation if it can't go on YouTube anyway lol Ironically, the pregnancy expansion games seem to be totally safe for YouTube. Anything else is deemed too erotic, including Tifa just standing there, completely still. Go figure.

I picked #3, but I will say that I really like it when you add in the new game+ to you're projects

Idk bout everyone else but the bonus extra big sizes at the end are PEAK Dim. Would hate to see the leave completely

I might still do bonus edits if they're quick but if they're too much work I'll not bother

I picked option 2 and I see it's not the most popular option. I think in the scope of things you realistically won't please a public supporter more simply because you gave them an animation vs a short clip. I would change the formula you've got now. Public animations are mostly narrative setup at this point and the deluxe are your meat and potatoes, I'd suggest simply making ONE animation that is a deluxe tier, contains the content of the narrative setup and meat and potatoes in one package and then use the beginning half of that animation to farm clips and content to post elsewhere to generate interaction to lead back to the deluxe. It's important to remember that the method you're choosing to do now is far more than what other creators ever consider doing. The majority of the content you see made to gather patreon hype is not interactive, nor does it realistically offer anything besides a quick advertisement for what the benefits contain. Doing it this way I believe would streamline your work considerably as you'd only be making one animation+ maybe some bonuses and some content farming. instead of a public full length, deluxe full length, bonuses, gif sets, stills, cross platform engagement. It's a hell of a lot of work you're putting on your plate that I'm sure is greatly supported by non members (I certainly appreciated it before my membership) but I also know realistically I was okay with just having the public versions and never delving further. Realistically my monthly subscription is only to support your work because I genuinely think your one of my favorites in the community. Take mine opinion with a grain of salt, it's not a popular one. I'm sure people will hate it because it essentially removes free interactive content, but I think the payoff is that patreon supporters end up with content that feels much more exclusive rather than just episode 2 (if you need it to do what you gotta do)

It has occurred to me on multiple occasions that other creators do a nude alt edit and do just fine with that. And here's my dumb ass doing a whole ass fresh animation lol. I may be overcompensating... And as you say, the Public + Deluxe animation are basically one animation in terms of content (I do mostly plan them as one animation split in two), so I could focus on doing one big thing. But that might take just as long to make as two separate animations, so an even longer wait between publishing stuff. It's a tricky situation. The final decision comes down to do patrons mind waiting? And they hate the wait, which method of speeding up the process do they prefer? If they don't mind waiting, I don't mind making what amounts to one story broken in half. Although I should try to make the Deluxe feel like a "DLC" than an essential part of the project, or an "episode 2" as you said. Easier said than done, though! Removing the bonus scenes to speed things up will help, at least. Also thank you for supporting me and liking my work so much to do so! You've given me food for thought, so thank you for sharing your opinion. Even if it's not an opinion others share, I'll bear it in mind when making future decisions regarding my production process.

New Game + is much easier to do in an interactive game than the Rive animations lol
