Mr. Beef. Update date. February 6 (one week). I need this time to patch up all the new numerous holes in the huge canvas of the script of our game. And I also want to work on the sounds for the big sex scene. Poor Jack. T_T The update will be accompanied by a file with a detailed walkthrough.

I was really hoping to play it this weekend but I’m hopeful that the update will turn out better with the added time.

If the cake isn't ready then the cake isn't ready. Does this go by the usual schedule with Fifth, Fourth, and Third level tiers [planned] release date Feb 6h, Second tier release date Feb 10th and the First tier release date Feb 13th?

mr. Beef I'm exhausted. I've cut off everything that hasn't been working for the last few days. Tomorrow I will run my eyes over the script several times and lay out the working part. The missing pieces will appear later. The main hot scene will be tomorrow, or rather today in any case. Good night.

So, you guys are basically editing scripts only right? i suppose all required animations and renders are completed. I hope "Missing pieces" doesn't imply that you still have work left in art and animation department.

Well darn. If you want my read of the situation it goes like this; as you may have noticed Mr Cabbage, their original programmer, hasn't been on the game credits for some time. Mr Beef is doing it now and he is basically an artist who has had to learn programming. I don't know coding myself so I can't say how hard that is. As a result I would suspect that it is the programming that is the holdup rather than the art. Disappointing but, as I've said, I don't know coding so I have no solution for this problem. Meanwhile, I'm going to let the bunny sleep and hope that we get a useable version tomorrow. https://i.gifer.com/HmSn.gif

Solution: don't do a complex quests. You don't go against Tyson if you don't know how to box :) I've already advised them to make more content with simple things to get more patrons. Then it would be possible to work on the game full-time and hire necessary specialists. Maybe they will listen to you.

Are you new here? :) There won't be any fixes. They'll just start to work on a new big thing for like 3 months, then several date changes, then "we've cut off everything that hasn't been working". Repeat. This is not a reproach, it just happens that way.

Well python is a relatively simple language plus renpy has some built-in features for visual novels. But they diligently continue to reinvent the wheel and make all sorts of extensive quest systems.

oh thanks for clearing it up, didn't know about this issue . Did they ever said this out in here? . For someone who hasn't done programming before, i can imagine how it can be challenging to put everything together and especially, debugging can be time consuming ., Hope, all goes well.

Hey man, if you got issues with coding please ask the community for help. You got amazing artistic skills. There’s clearly a lot of content you can produce but if coding is a bottleneck then I’m sure people would be more than willing to help you out. You could start a discord server and interact with us.

Pretty sure Dark Cookie got all his programmers from discord. They run it like Electronic Arts. He creates tasks, but he does the art. There are two full-time programmers. He used to do the the programming himself but he’s an artist and coding was making him nuts.

It doesn't help him much with the releases anyway. Having freed himself from coding, he hit perfectionism with redrawing the entire game :)

I just hope the team knows we’re all here because we’re genuinely excited and invested in what they’ve made. And if there’s a snag, that’s okay. If they need some extra dev hands, that’s cool too, but keeping us in the loop will never lose them points.

I think that is the frustrating thing for us is not knowing what is going on and promised deadlines being missed, it has great artwork and characters which is why we want it to succeed.

Going by the usual schedule it should be the Fifth, Fourth, and Third level tiers release last night on Feb 10h, Second tier release date Feb 14th and the First tier release date Feb 17th. I'm going by Pacific time though. It was a kind of incomplete release. Getting something out the door to appease the natives. There should be more shortly. It was fun though.
