Many thousands in this audience are affected by the hurricanes, winds, flooding, of the SouthEast US. This is the update and lessons learned video from this ongoing calamity. And more of this in different forms is in our future. What are the lessons learned? Well #1 and as preached here in the Project, BE PREPARED. You should by now have your FAKs, BOKS, clothing and essentials, VBOKs, food storage, fuel, weaponry, and water supplies long prepared. TNPrs having watched and heeded the preparation advice are saying they are A OK, at least for surviving, in the disaster. Most of their neighbors are not.

Moreover I will discuss the corruption and failures of the Leftist US Government in helping affected states and devastated communities. I believe this lack of response was intentional, designed to punish these mostly conservative, pro-Trump states. The fact that FEMA also spent $1.4 billion on illegal immigrants under their DEI initiatives is also addressed. For the most part, all effective aid was coming in the form of PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS. And even still some of these individuals were threatened with jail for helping. Clown world indeed. You will be on your own so prepare accordingly.

Your preparations should be systemic and consistent, not panicked, allocating some money each month to achieve your desired results. They are not a guarantee that you will be A OK either. As discussed, it's just an insurance policy for you and your family. One that, with any warning, can help ensure your recovery back to Rule of Law. Many more things are addressed including specific updates in the realm of lighting, fuel, cooking, water storage, emergency electrical supplies, tents, bug out kit essentials and more.

The video is also spiritual and Christ based as I call all to come unto Him in these last days. God WILL assist your in your efforts if you ask Him.That is real security. This again was brought to you by paying donors to Nutnfancy. Godspeed and prep up for more of these level of event, and worse, in the future. Hang in there with TNP!

Yo Nutn! Make more spirituality videos! The west needs jesus

James Schuenemann

I love these types of videos Nutn! I know it takes a lot of time to make these. I really appreciate your hard work. With elections nearing and how crazy things are getting. Would you consider making a EDC video on being prepared for anything the left will throw at us. I still go back and watch the 2020 one you did with Doodle.

Echo Sierra

The long form survival/WROL/preparation vids are great and always has been, always interesting to hear new views from you Nutn. Excellent to see you ramping up that content - lets go!

Iowa Dave

You can't eliminate the risk of natural disaster, but you can do things to improve your odds. My biggest risk in Iowa is a tornado. Step one was buying a house with a basement. Step two was buying a couple of pallets of cinder blocks, mortar, and rebar and hiring a mason to build a wall in a corner of the basement that already had cement foundation walls on three sides, forming a tornado shelter for our family. I had a tree near the house cut down this year to take that tree falling on the house due to a tornado out of the equation. When I had my roof replaced this year I spent a bit more to get Class 4 shingles to resist hail and higher winds. It cost more, but I'll save on my homeowners insurance rates. I've been working to improve my drainage year by year, building four retaining walls on the sides of the house and adding/re-sloping soil to direct water away from the foundation, trenching and burying corrugated pipe to get water from the downspouts to far away from the foundation, etc. Always be working to improve your situation, just like you should always be adding to your preps and training. The average American moves every seven years. The next time you move, look for high ground. Eye it, but check FEMA flood maps as well. Don't let your wife "fall in love" with a house that is on low ground. If you already live in a flood zone, buy flood insurance....and seriously look at moving. Pay attention to the defensibility of your next potential house: high ground is better than low ground, a cul-de-sac is better than a traditional street, rural is better than suburban, suburban is better than urban, etc. Above all, get right with God. Fear that which can destroy the soul more than that which can destroy the body.

Todd Strelka

Great video. I shared on my social media.

Timely video. Have been making big progress on first aid, water, solar preps. Feeling like time is running out. Thanks for the guidance Uncle N!

PTL SCIENCE

Wow, your great real world situation discussion is amazing. Theories - applied to actual situation, I love it! I am looking forward to your hygene instruction.

@TheNutnfancyProject and everyone if you would like to set up emergency off-grid communications for your members the only way is HF radio (General license) using an NVIS (Near Vertical Incidence Skywave) for regional comms (30-400 miles) for the 0-30ish miles can't hear it because of skip zone of the signal. To cover that zone you use Groundwave (HF used like AM radio). Longer-range comms need different antennas and are unreliable for skip zones so until a good group is set up NVIS is the best bet. The handheld UHF/VHF LoS comms (Tech License) without a repeater has a limit of 5ish miles. The repeater requires power and a working antenna which tends to go down in major storms and other disasters. Like medical and firearms you can't wait until you need it to learn how and get supplies. Others and I can help you set this up if you want. CB and GMRS fall under the LoS Marine radio, which is also LoS (signal is in the CB family) and is illegal to use off the water. In an emergency, I'll... before the emergency is when you had to learn to use it, and a Marine radio is a $16,000 fine every time you key the mike, so how do you learn to use it before need it? There is a lot to learn.

Wyoming Homesteader

The handheld UHF/VHF Baofeng and others are tactical-level radios not suited for anything else. Two users standing at the same elevation have a maximum range of 5ish miles. The reason is the curvature of the earth gets in the way beyond this limit. The only way to increase this is at least one radio to be at a higher elevation. The only safe way to plan is to assume a repeater will be down during an emergency, you may get a happy surprise that a repeater is up but never count on it. Emergency power with HF using a rolled-up lightweight wire antenna and a radio that uses the least amount of power possible will allow you to reach out beyond the immediate area for help or to listen for those who need assistance.

Wyoming Homesteader

There are a lot of free sources to learn for the ham test like https://hamstudy.org/ The average person needs a week of study for level 1 "tech", and about a month for level 2 "General".

Lynn E Fite, Col (r)

Near term: basic survival needs: (water, food, shelter, medical). Secondly personal financial issues: CC’s payments, vehicle loans, Home payments. And of course November voting. The depth and destruction replicates WWII community damage. Uncle Bud is more concerned with supporting illegals than helping US citizens. In this case ground “zeros” were so devastating that many prepper contingency planning is gone. These natural disasters will affect all of the US economy. Lastly having survived a hurricane with Home damage, we relied on friends who all came together WITHOUT Uncle Bud.

Rob Miller

If God tells you to make a video, just make it. Do not worry about the views. You either have faith or you do not. Saving just one soul is worth a days labor.

Colby C

I appreciate the video. As tragic as the event was, I was lucky I didn’t have to displace and was able to use my systems. This is day 15 with no power or running water at my compound, but having to get into my systems and really test my gear was a good thing. I know my utilities will return, but I will be making changes in every aspect of my preparations in case I’m down for a longer period next time.

Mattimus

Damn Nutn! *chefs kiss* That was an excellent on-point video update putting into words what we are all thinking and seeing with the federal responses… these videos are why I am a donor. *adds boat to prep list*

Mattimus

And also, great prayer at the end.

Robert Fowler

After Hurricane Milton I am determined get my Ham Radio License

Gilbert Cuzdey Jr

People should have utilized the 2a when fema agents started confiscating supplies. Disappointed nobody dealt with those agents.

Jpez

When i saw how this response has been unfolding i kind of knew this vid had to drop. Thanks for fighting the good fight to keep us informed .

The Nutnfancy Project

Indeed Rob, I do try to follow when instructed. I'm still a goof but try my best.

Joseph

I live in the south east. But I’m in an unaffected area. North east Mississippi. Safe to say. I don’t think many people will want to move to the Carolina’s for a long while. Probably have more people relocate to my area and others. During Katrina, had a lot of people relocate here permanently.

Rogue Weasely

I would love if you made COMS videos. I'm currently working on my COMS set ups based on the baofeng systems.

Elijah Ballard

I work for the water department for my community. Most domestic utilities use chlorine to disinfect for bacteria like E Coli. Depending on how much chlorine is used the chlorine residual will dissipate. For long time storage I definitely would have some source to disinfect. Having diarrhea when already rationing water would suck.

Elijah Ballard

I have 55 gallon drums I use for buying “fuel oil” diesel when price is low for the winter. I never keep more than I will use in 6-12 months. Has came in useful when things have been tight financially also.

Zack Harris

Amen, Great video Nutn, keep up the good work!

Hold Fast Joe

Look at gmrs radios. Your supposed to pay a fee similar to a license for ham, but most (probably 99%) don't. Plus you'll use the thing a few times when it's new just to get an idea of it's range, then it'll go into a drawer and you'll forget about it until you need it so I wouldn't worry about the fees. Just get 3 or 4 of them, charge up the battery to 80% or so, disconnect the battery and let it collect dust. Hopefully you'll never need it

Hold Fast Joe

great info! I don't have a need for anything long range so very cheap gmrs works for us. Recently been playing with meshtastic which has been fun, but most of the time the radio stuff just sits around unplugged. Occasionally check batteries and hope I never need it.

Wyoming Homesteader

Mesh is trying to recreate the internet. Durng an disaster/emergency you have to assume infrastructure like mesh or a repeater will be down. We have tested HF rigs using NVIS and less than 1 watt of power sending a digital signal 400 miles with no other infrastructure. No LoS communications system can come close to that.

Robert Fowler

I live in Texas, but I have a lot of family in Florida. It was excruciating not to have contact with my elderly Aunt Ruthie and this is not the first hurricane for us nor will it be the last. There is a Relay club in my town that meets once a month for dinner and I am going to go.

Hold Fast Joe

For range ya mesh is garbage, it's just been a fun toy. I got a few mesh devices on my kids bikes to keep track of where they're at while biking around town as it transmits gps location every few minutes. It's been useful for fun and non-emergency stuff. For my tiny needs a 1-2 mile range gmrs radio is plenty to have on hand in case we need voice coms if cell is down

Christopher Davis

I have nothing but respect for Nutn for putting his spiritual convictions out there, but it amazes me how many Christians have such a fundamental misunderstanding of righteousness. Being “right” with God has *nothing* to do with keeping the Ten Commandments or any other work, and *everything* to do with accepting Christ and resting in His perfect, finished work on the Cross. He and He alone is who makes us righteous before the Father. By all means do good works—but we should never think that our works are what make us “right” with God.

BeardedBrownCoat

Amen brother! That's the whole point and just points more to God's ridiculous undeserving love and grace that He has poured out on all of us. Our righteousness is nothing more than filthy rags compared to the Father. We're not justified by works or by keeping the law, rather by faith in Christ Jesus and His finished work on the cross. That's so very comforting and should give us peace regardless of the situation.

BeardedBrownCoat

I finally convinced the rest of my family to get some handhelds. I'll be programming them tonight after church. Even if repeaters go down (not likely all would), you have simplex (radio to radio) and can still monitor for information, and/or reach out for help.

BeardedBrownCoat

If you buy FRS/GMRS, you’re exempt from having to have a license. …just a tip.

Anthony Schaad

Amen Nutn! We need Christ! I pray more find and let them into their hearts !

Anthony Schaad

Donor here lol, me and my brother do have a couple beofengs but yea we have never programmed them . We’ve been meaning to take the FCC class and get somewhat certified but just haven’t had time unfortunately

Love this vid. Helps to clarify what to be working on. Prep questions; 1. Would the 5 gallon jugs of refillable water available from grocery stores be a good option for water storage? The ones that are purchased for dispensers in a workplace. I plan on getting 5g, 15g, and 30g containers. The above mentioned 5g containers are 1/3 to 1/2 the price of a similar size Coleman 5g container with spigot, and they already have water in them. The plastic seems heavy duty and they are transportable. Maybe the cap isn’t as leakproof or airtight? Nutn didn’t include this type of container in his water storage video. I’m wondering why not. 2. What’s the thinking on duplicating firearms for redundancy and parts? I’m in Canada so having a couple ARs and parts is not as viable. We can still have 5.56 semi-autos, but AR pattern has restrictions. I like the idea of having a redundant firearm in each caliber of choice. That way if one goes down you still have another option to use that caliber. Two is one principle. Does it make even more sense to get 2 of the exact same firearm so that you have parts too? Let’s say you have 2 different designs; DA and DB. If DA goes down you could use DB. Or vice versa. Now let’s say you have two of the same designs. DC and DC. If one goes down you have the other. If both go down, you could possibly use parts to get one back up and running. Assume WROL. It’s more exciting to add two different patterns of same caliber to the collection than getting 2 of the same pieces, but having parts is appealing too. Would love to hear some other thinking on the matter. Cheers to TNPP!

This one hit close to home. My family lives outside of Asheville….or should I say “did”. They’re now here with me in Georgia, trying to figure out where to go from here. They lost everything except the land that their house was on. This was a HUGE wake up call to my prep game.

Murphy

In a flood possible area I'd also have a boat.

Jason Burson

Just now watching this but glad the folks in the mountains are getting some attention

Brooke Duncan

I'll share some personal experiences that influences why I think prepping is mostly a fantasy, if not an outright desire for disaster. Maybe WROL should be WROPE.... Without Rule Of Personal Experience. I was a brand new cop in New Orleans twenty years ago when Hurricane Katrina hit. This coming Friday will mark the twentieth anniversary of that storm wrecking my city and the lives of thousands of people in it. It will also be my twentieth anniversary with the New Orleans Police Department. I saw things during that time that aren't supposed to happen in America. Bodies don't get abandoned on the sidewalk to rot in the sun in this country. People don't lose limbs because of a simple cut that got infected in this country. Cops don't lose their fucking minds and shoot and kill an unarmed, intellectually disabled teenager in the back with a shotgun as he is running away and cover it up, only to have that conspiracy be discovered years later in this country. All of those things did happen, though. In America. Something else happened, too. Nearly four hundred thousand citizens evacuated the city and didn't come home for months, some for years, and some never. That meant thousands of abandoned, flooded out, unliveable homes, some of them full of guns for anyone to steal, lay open for the picking. The National Guard came through these homes looking for bodies and survivors. Guns left behind were confiscated and destroyed. My point to this rant is this: you might have spent thousands of dollars on food for a year, you may have stockpiled ammo to the ceiling, and you might lose sleep at night about what the perfect WROL gun and accessories are (when did men give so much of a fuck about bags?? It's a bag. Put things in it.) but I have some terrible news for you.... Despite all of the time, money, and effort spent on prepping for the end of the world, in a real disaster like Katrina where devastation is total and absolute, your happy ass is getting on the first FEMA bus outta town like everyone else. Your guns and your pallets of food, your knives, and your goofy Chinese walkie-talkie nobody but you and one other guy own are not coming with you. Sorry. I hope this has served as a small reality check. Ya wanna be prepared for a disaster? Pack a toothbrush, toilet paper in a sandwich bag, and something to read. If everything goes right, you'll be very bored.
