Mat

Been excited for this one!

I have 5078 rounds through my RXM, and have tricked it out a little bit. Mec-Gar 18 round Glock 19 mags work great, when I've got a little more time I'll post a pic.

Great gun, you chose wisely my friend, great to hear about that rds count, I will put your comment in the writeup section.

gryphonz3

I would have preferred a 1913 rail cut and Gen4 size mag release. Overall I like it…very solid pistol.

Harold Galen McPheron

Major echoing again, what's the problem, I switched over to Youtube and no echoing...

Matthew Larson

Very excited to hear your take as I start the GRV! I have heard a lot of buzz for a Flux chassis system because of the FCU, and I think if it does come through, it could fill the role of your previous HPAC G34 w/brace well, but a little more streamlined/feature rich... As it comes out of the box, I'm interested in it as an option that is compatible with Glock parts/mags, because I get that they are ubiquitous in the world, but I own none as I don't like how Glocks feel/shoot for me (more an M&P guy).

Charles A. Higgins

Great video. I’ve been happy with my Glock 19 gen 2 and Glock 23 gen 4, so I haven’t bought the Ruger RxM, but it is slightly tempting. I’d need to get it for a steal (about $325) to really seriously consider though.

Bluegill097

No echo on my end. Came in Lima Charlie

Bluegill097

Interesting Nutn, I was expecting a rave review now you have me slowing my roll. I already have a variety of Glocks but I posted over on YT I was thinking about a Christmas gift to myself because it was $388 out the door at my shop in Navy Blue, which I like. I see the potential for a pcc in the future that accepts the chassis but maybe I’m crazy…

Bluegill097

I agree 100%. I think I’m a little more excited than Nutn was regarding those possibilities. Deeply considering a purchase.

Bluegill097

Second. I like the SSE (or whatever you called it), but I was hoping for more Magic out of the table top. Thanks for making it happen Nutn

Elijah Ballard

Father in law picked an RXM up, waiting to shoot his to decide if I want one. It’s a coin flip for me between the dagger and the RXM.

bugout

Sorry but RXM over dagger all day.. FCU means you can drop into any new frames ruger or aftermarket makes (17, 19, 26, 26x..) and any coloration!

Noah Diaz

Bring back the owl patches to the store!!!

JK

I chose the RXM for two reasons. 1: Glock, but American (and cheap) plus Ruger has the track record that PSA doesn't. 2: I'm really hoping Sig has only licensed the Raider, not bought it. Either way I doubt Magpul will stop at subcompact, compact, and full size frames. Though I'm an S&W fan and I reeeeeally wish they made the funniest decision ever to release a gen3 clone, but they already had their PP's slapped for copying Glock once. I'm sure their lawyers recommended against it.

Scott Nelson

I wanted one of these but decided to wait for Magpul to release other grips. They were always "coming soon!!". Then, one day, I see it - "In Stock NOW!". Is it bad that I ordered the full size frame before I had the firearm? Before putting rounds down range, I ended up swapping the frame. The removal pins were a pain to get out, but afterwards the process was pretty simple. I also ordered a Holosun 407c to put on this firearm (think poor mans Glock 45). I had to get the 15 round mags for Glock (Thanks IL) and it was off to the range. I lubed it the night before just to be on the safe side. All I can say is I am very impressed with this firearm. The trigger pull is smooth and like Nutn stated in the video, has a nice clean break and reset. I was getting extremely tight groups at roughly 12 yards and am happy to say that after 200 rounds, I had no issues. If you're on the fence - buy with confidence. I'm hoping that Ruger will sell just the FCU because I'd love to get the subcompact Glock 26 frame for this package as well, have it already assembled, so that I can just swap the slide and be ready for the next adventure. Sure, I could remove the FCU but, in my eyes, that adds to the potential wear and tear of the FCU itself as well as the possibility of dropping a pin or spring.

Adam

Budget choice. I chose the Taurus G3. I never really cared about the whole major manufacturer’s thing anymore. Some of the biggest companies are now producing crap.

Squid556

Biggest appeal being able to change frames easily. Which hasn’t really come to full potential yet. Hoping for a chassis like the flux raider but that isn’t gay and dangerous.

Anthony Schaad

My brother has one/RXM and has been excellent!!! I haven’t gotten one myself yet , but the bro bought us some of the new full-size frames so now I gotta buy it lol 😂. I mean in all honesty it’s half the price of a Glock, American made and shoots like a Glock… I think there gonna take out a chunk of Glocks share . Not much but ppl really want a Glock that’s not a Glock lol.

Anthony Schaad

Btw the bros round count is 500 thru his RXM… we had a few flubs/fte, but we believe that magazine was bad n it’s been solid since

Anthony Schaad

The 19 size frame has been my favorite ever since I turned 21 , 12 years later with a bunch of “compact “ size guns , I just got into “full size “ handguns with a Glock 47 and S&W metal comp… ohhhhh baby those are the bees knees lol . The smith mp metal comp is probably my fav handgun to be honest lol

TNSheep

I think nutn was a bit harsh on it with his first video. He seems a bit happier about it now that he's got it and shot it. The RXM is a great pistol with a far better trigger than a standard glock, and a little cheaper price tag.

Jose Wenceslao Reyes

I got mine recently and it seems to fix the issues I have with my gen 3 19. It has metal sights and I don't get slide bite with the improved beaver tail. It does fit most G19 holsters however you may have some issues if the Kydex/Leather is more precisely molded.

David Eslamizar

I have a g19 gen3 frame so I got the RXM slide off of eBay and it’s really nice. Love the sights, and I have a osight s I think it is, little micro red dot. When I shot the new slide for the first time with my hybrid 46 suppressor, I had a few FTEs, but that happened a few times and went away. I was shooting some 124gr fmj bulk ammo. I am happy with it.

David Eslamizar

Get a RXM slide from eBay. I got a new complete slide minus a barrel for $239 with free shipping. It should work with the two pin G19 gen2. You could use the slide with the gen4 too if you do the full lower conversion and get the adaptor for the front of the slide to eat up the gap in the “dust cover” area under the barrel/RSA hole. Maybe throw in a barrel too if you don’t get one with the slide like me. And the cool part is that if you get a small red dots, like the new micro red dots that osight/olight just put out, you can cowitness and it sits nice and low and out of the way. I got it and I love it.

Bbomz97

I love that Ruger did what Glock should have done for the military pistol trials in 2015-17. Our boys would likely be armed with Glocks instead of the questionable M18s. Also love that the most popular pistol world wide got turned into an FCU, which should open up many options. I'm hoping someone will figure out how to fit the FCU into a frame with a smaller grip size, similar to the 43x/48/P365, and take skinny mags (Shield Arms or even P365 mags). Or maybe that's Ruger's next venture, make a mini RMX. Also super excited for someone to make a Flux Raider style chassis for the RMX!!

Tacticaldoodle

My comp. bud mentioned there are some intermittent issues with the magpul glock mags sometimes. Maybe you just get a bum one, and it needs slicking up or something. Kind of funny how every time I stray from glock OEM I come right back....

Tacticaldoodle

It's easy for us old timers to get jaded and unimpressed by recent stuff, especially when it's the 10,000th iteration of the Gen3 Glock. The RXM shoots quite well, and while teh whole FCM design is not the most useful thing for US, with multiple firearms to fill every mission slot we demand, it's useful for newbies who need versatility until they can acquire to that point. If I were a Gen A kid planning my pistol ecosystem, an RXM would be a fair start: Get the standard as a "full" size combat pistol (close enough), and then get the little module grips for subcompact carry (again, close enough). All-in you have a solid CCW/WROL pistol setup for less than half your one-bedroom's rent!

Tacticaldoodle

The other day I did a pistol course, and I had the pick of the litter between a 2011, PDP, Sig GTO, even an Alien Remus..... in the end I picked a bone-stock Glock 47. I did NOT want to underwhelm with a fancy gun, but in the end I was hanging with the race guns just fine. It really bolstered my faith in the basic glock, man. The 47 is a great fll size.... toss in a G34 trigger connector and you're perfect!

Tacticaldoodle

I'm sure there's some fun story behind the RXM grip frame delay. You'd think it would be ready day 1, along with the gun itself....probably some troubles in the manufacturing process.

Tacticaldoodle

When they do come back they're made in the USA. I haven't finished the prototyping yet, so I don't quite know the price, but it's going to be tough to bring them back at previous pricing... we were basically breaking even on the foreign-produced ones last time around! If one were embroidered in the USA what's your ideal price point?

Tacticaldoodle

If you can afford it, I'd grab one. If you're a glock guy through and through it's different enough it FEELS like a discrete design. The grip angle shoots different for me, and it takes some acclimation but it's a solid addition: Uses your existing ecosystem AND feels like a new gun! If you can afford it, it's a fun toy

Noah Diaz

That’s fine I’ll pay whatever it is. I think they look awesome and would like to add them to my gear.

Rusty Chains

Thanks Nutn! I held off buying one waiting on your review, though I really should get rid of a few 9mm pistols before I buy one. I do like my little Ruger 380 for carrying when I am feeling lazy and don't feel like being armed.

Scott Nelson

I heard rumors (which only God knows how true it is), that Magpul wanted to make sure that the gun was actually going to be wanted before they invested a lot of time in mass production of the grip modules. All in all - happy they did. I really like my Glock 45 Ruger Magpul brew.

Jim Ferebee

Thank you for the video. Merry Christmas.

Tygre

Thanks for the info on the 18-round MecGars!

Tygre

Make them look cool like "the owl is on the shed" and I'll pay it!

GraySkyReady

I still reference your videos from 12 years ago. Stand the test of time? Check.

Tim Talbot

I can remember shooting galleries with real .22s at carnivals as late as the late '70s.

DudeDudeDude

Loving the rimfire content. Hell yeah I want to see the Remington pump reviewed.

Bluegill097

Well, I ended up not buying based in part on this review. I figure I’ll save the money and put it towards a MAC 5 this year.

OE

I know you found it a bit redundant, but I loved the side-by-side competitors talk. Listened to this on the drive home from dinner and music night at my parents place. Thanks for keepin' me alert, entertained, and financially intact Sir.

2Aalways100

Hell id be ok with a standard owl patch, i just got the hotdog one tonight (ordered that is)

2Aalways100

I will say i actually like the rxm over the bone standard glock for a few reasons, i think you get a bunch of what glock

2Aalways100

What glock should have done a long time ago. The optic mounting system included for one without needing plates, the trigger was far better, i like the grip size and feel better then say a gen 3 g19/23, and it has a better look as far as slide atleast. And you get a case that actually fits everything without having to sit on the lid to close it like the glocks micro cases. And the fact glock still even at gen 6 now hasnt done a chasis system just shows lack of innovation.. will anything change by the time gen 10 comes around?

2Aalways100

Also the rxm can be had new for $400, you aint gettin any glock that price unless its a used/le trade in, even blue label pricing is more. Id say from a value standpoint, rxm has a lot more good going for it then bad. (Sorry idk why but my messages keep posting before im finished typing what im saying)

The Gates Family

I could have gotten this AND a Max 9 or LCP Max for the price I paid for my Gen 6 G19. No regrets though. Gen 6 is EXCELLENT. Highly rec’d by ME. Still want an RXM. It’s a great complete pistol I don’t have to do anything to, except add a light and optic. I’d get the full size 4.5” and put a 15rd grey grip on it and carry it in a sidecar.

The Gates Family

Interesting that they kept the Gen 3 mag release when they could have went to a Gen4 like Shadow Systems
