Talyor & Co Colt Single Action Army, this time in a smaller format which I loved. But the plot goes south as it headed out to the cursed desert for testing.

Believe most Taylor is Pietta, which is better quality than Uberti... good stuff!

Ive seen 45acp converted scholfields running moonclips... would like to see a 7rd 9mm scholfield that runs on 986 moonclips.. that would be sick!

You would be surprised how many SASS shooters, especially women shoot 32-20 or 32 HR mag in competition...

I bought the Cimmarron "Frontier" model (PP405LSFW) in 357Mag. The registration of the cylinder was so off that some strikes were so offcenter that the primer did not ignite. It was still off even after sending in for service. Ultimately, Classic Firearms agreed to accept it as a return - Kudos to Classic Firearms. I wanted a "cowboy gun" so then I went with Ruger Knighthawk, 7-inch in 357 Mag - Works great and surprisingly acurate.

I just got a Cimarron Rooster Shooter SAA in 45 Colt and I cannot wait to shoot it!

I didn't know Uberti was making centerfire models on the stallion size frame. Thanks for the info NUTN!! I was on Gun Broker a few years back looking for a Colt New Frontier Scout 22LR (the model with a steel frame and adjustable sights) when I came across a very nice looking Uberti Stallion in 22LR that looked virtually identical, for about half of what the Colts were going for. I bought it, and when it arrived it wouldn't operate properly. Took it apart and found that someone had destroyed the third sear engagement notch on the hammer. I suspect it got dropped with the hammer cocked and landed directly on the hammer. I did some work cleaning it up with a file, and it has worked spectacularly since then, on par with my ruger single six. Still plan on getting a Colt someday. Just a heads up on Colt 22LR single actions. The first model they produced (1957-70) was the Frontier Scout, made with a Zamak (zinc alloy) frame and grip and fixed sights, virtually identical to a Heritage Rough Rider minus the manual safety. If you're looking for a collector, can't compete with it, but if you just want that style of shooter, the Heritage goes for about 1/10th the price of the Colt. The Colt NEW Frontier Scout (1970-mid 80s) was made on a steel frame, had adjustable sights and is VERY nice, on par with Ruger's Single Six, except without the transfer bar, so only safe to carry with 5 in the cylinder and hammer resting over an empty chamber.

I've always thought the top strap on the Rugers looked... Off. The Colt design is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for the video!

I need to put hands on a Pietta. I've got a Uberti 1873 cattleman and it's no Colt.

Taylor's is only an importer and does not make anything but I will say that everything I have used or examined that came from them had no issues and was or appeared to be high quality.

I am not going to lie. Although I am not a die hard purist I am disappointed to see the transfer bar system on this. That is a big minus for me.
