My dad employed “random phone checks” with my sister. He only had to do it a few times but he always told me “just do it once or twice in front of her friends. They’ll see it and get the message.” Your mileage may vary but it worked for us. My 6 year old is basically unable to use an iPhone. It’s one of my proudest accomplishments.

Fantastic wisdom. Definitely something I will revisit and watch again in the future.. Thank you

Outstanding video. Especially on Father’s Day weekend. My parents passed away at young age but instilled your philosophy. Great Parents.

I would also recommend the book “Movers of Men and Mountains” by RG LeTourneau. A great autobiography showcases hard work, success, and failure.

So Good!! Thank You!! My kids all know they're not getting phones until they're at least 17! I assigned my son his second book to read at my request just a couple weeks ago. The kid is a book worm, but is always reading fantasy, he loves dragons, etc. The first book I assigned him to read was "Hatchet". He was in sixth grade then, now he's between 7th and 8th and reading about Carlos Hathcock in "Marine Sniper".

The goal is to teach your kids how to thrive not make them like you.

I love the book report idea my oldest boy is 14 and he likes to hide in his room for hours at a time often not doing anything at all. He's an incredible kid he's into so much he plays offensive center on the varsity team. He also plays a violin in orchestra as well as does shot put and discuss on the track team. He even competes on the schools wrestling team during the winter time. I've been trying to come up with ways to engage his mind more at home in addition to his normal chores. I think this will help to fill the gaps thanks Nutn 👍

I like what Dave Ramsey says “The goal is not to raise great kids. It's to raise kids who become great adults”

“Milk Man” Matt Moore

I’m raising twin boys who are 3.5 years old. Every night I’m reading to them a few pages of Watership Down. It’s my favorite part of the day.

This will counter the leftist propaganda and indoctrination, and teach some modicum of critical thinking.

That pic of Hooter is an F100. Looks like a mid 60's model. Cool truck.
