You know I love the .357s and .38s. They are fun to shoot, require a whole different skill set, are reliable, they can hit hard, and last forever. Problem? Yeah they're expensive to shoot. Enter the guy who says "well just reload." We got busy lives to live bro...no time for that. But we still want to do a lot of revolver shooting. Enter the 9mm moonclip wheel gun. It will be approx 100% less expensive to shoot than a .357. But there aren't that many being made and we need more more. But here I'll cover an xlnt cost effective option: the Taurus 905 SS.

I'll show you how it did in this efficient GRV and contrast it against some classic, proven competitive options in the standard calibers. I'll discuss the snappy recoil (fun) and use of moon clips and how it impacts faster reloading. You might be surprised at the xlnt accuracy of the 905 also. In the end you'll see this is another great Taurus that won't break your credit card and will provide you decades of high value service. The John Wick Mustang and SU57 are also shown and discussed!

I don't own a revolver, yet I've probably watched 50+ revolver reviews from you. Feature length!! 😂🤙

Big revolver fan. First one was the Ruger GP100. Highly recommend

Love my Rock Island 9mm revolver…way cheaper to shoot than my 357 yet still a lot of fun. I have 3 or 4 TK Custom moon clips for it and I can say the quality is pretty good. Loving the content flow Nutn’, keep all of it coming! Can’t have too much of good things!

My favorite revolver is my SP101 mainly because it was my mom's. She carried it and kept it for home defense for years and years. She's passed on now so it's a sentimental piece for sure. Although my favorite shooter is a model 19-2 Smith it was an old duty pistol from the 70's. It's such a classic blued finish with dark walnut grips and it has the counter sunk cylinder. That gun is such a sweet shooter I just love it.

It's no 686-3 but still cool. Taurus 85 has been my dad's CCW at 83 he still hitting the center at 7 yards. Taurus has improved on the wheel guns while adding value to the shooter. But I'm an classic Smith guy

I only need a couple GTW double stack nines but I could collect dozens of revolvers. They are my favorite to buy, collect, & shoot!

Hell yeah! I've been a fan of the 905 for a long time. Sadly, I sold the first one I had and had to pick up another one. Most people try to correct me and say: "you mean the 605", when I tell them what it is. I love 9mm revolvers. I also have a Ruger SP 101, Rock Island AL 9.0, and the very awesome and versatile Taurus 692.

I can’t wait for my Kusiak p365 holster but I’ve been waiting 117 days and counting!

Opposite end of the "expensive to shoot" spectrum is my Taurus 450 in .45 Colt. I love it! Five shot stainless stubby with a compensator barrel.

Super lover all things revolvers, Single and Double action!!! I really want to get the S&W 629 Mountain Gun!!

I still do not know why TNPers fo not go for the single action content. I occasionally carry larger guns but most of the time it is a J frame or Kimber K6 in the pocket. I own a S&W 940 9mm but I really gave up carrying it years ago. The 9mm revolver is easier to load than a 38 even when both are using moonclips. The 9mm offers a little more power than the 38 and is actually a pretty good choice. The issue I had was carrying moonclips long term without bending them. A bent mooclip renders the gun useless. As far as Taurus they are a pretty good revolver but in most cases I will gladly pay the extra needed to afford a S&W which is almost always going to be a better revolver. The one snub nose that I have been interested in but have never pulled the trigger on (figuratively and literally) is the charter arms bulldog 44 special. They make one that is similar to the S&W 38/638 bodyguard with a shrouded hammer. I want to give one of those a go one day but I have always been concerned about Charter's reputation.

NUTN's GP100 and 686 reviews are among his best work IMO.

I owned exactly ONE Taurus revolver, which constantly spit lead at my face. Got rid of it.
