I wished I would have known about these in my Dayhike Survival Kit (DSK) video series. These are nearly ideal. Never mind the strange names and their focus on hunting or commercial butchering.

These are ultra lightweight and stainless fixed blade knives that pack a lot of performance (testing video shown!). The CS "Scalper Slock Master" and "Commercial Series Wester Hunter" are very inexpensive. Remember when you integrate an item in your kits, it's a write-off and stays there forever, always ready for emergency use. Therefore their prices are ideal.

I can deal with the 4116 Krupp steel choice (discussed).  Perfect lightweight plastic sheaths are included; they won't hold moisture and are secure.  Highly recommended additions to your DSK/USK/BOK builds...I'm using them now for all my DSKs.

Happy Thanksgiving TNP🔥!

Connor Murphy

Happy Thanksgiving, Nutn. God Bless You and Your Family.

Connor Murphy

Huh, the link to the 8'' Bucher is actually a link to Pipe Tobacco. Odd.

Zak Orendorff

These are definitely perfect for a day hike kit and they’re perfect for just leaving them in that kit and writing them off. That’s what I love about TNP. Open mind and just the thoughtfulness and creativity that goes into everything. Everything is always well thought through. Every kit, go bag, or even items that you review are definitely well thought out and purpose driven. Thanks NUTN. Hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving!

Cesar C

Nice! Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving!

Jerome J

Happy Thanksgiving, guys!

Matthew Sinn

Happy Thanksgiving TNP Nation!

Clint Raby

Thanks Nutn! Ordered several of these and think I will put some DSK's together for Christmas gifts for my grown kids.

Lon N

Awesome GRV, Nutn sold a Western Hunter, for my butchering kit, the BOK is set up already. High value kit is a force multiplier.Have a wonderful Thanksgiving TNP.

Lorenzo

U convert to Silky saw’s big brother Nuts?

Adam Boyd

Aww yeah! Nutnfancy catching up on Cold Steel! 💪

Lorenzo

Oh yeah, Happy Thanksgiving!

Lorenzo

I’m thankful for clean socks. Part Two: Be Manly; please and thank you.

Matthew Sinn

It'll definitely be interesting if he puts out another review on them.

Micah G

Thanks Nutn. Happy Thanksgiving Ya'll

Younggun995

These are a win! How about a TNP version??

Schmuckatelli

Maybe it's a preview of future TNP reviews of cigars and whiskey. LOL!

DuginIN

Tim Wells the Slock Master. Relentless Pursuit on the Sportsman Channel and You Tube. I watch his videos. Hunting with bow, spear, blowgun etc.

Pedro

That price point I’ll definitely deal with the steel choice.

Joshua Pulliam

These would definitely be good for a DSK or BOK. I would want a much better steel choice for my hunting blades.

Carl Bailey

My camp kit blade of choice is a Cold Steel Roach Belly. Similar steel and sheath, ultralight and cheap enough to buy more than one.

Tacticaldoodle

I committed the sin of breaking into my BOK last week, had to use my .22 to put down an animal and that MK IV had the threaded barrel to compensate and direct the sound a bit over the MK II I usually use. :/

Rob Miller

Thanks for the video drop today. Really enjoyed it after getting the kitchen cleaned up. Ordered 2 because they are an awesome value.

The Nutnfancy Project

You are wise as always Rob Miller. Let us know how you like them. They are cool to me!

Ol Retired Fed

What? The Western Hunter is sold out at BHQ. Bummer. There's the quick and the not so quick. I do like my SOG Ace. A little shorter but super light too.

NoBullDoozer

As I await the end of the trilogy and fondle the first and penultimate, you lure me into these orange beauties. You sir a siren of the sea.

fishbike

I use an Original Cold Steel Bush Ranger Fixed Blade in Carbon V.

Eric Kelley

The damage from the last three Nutnfancy special editions means I gotta wait a while to reload the “dad’s money for toys” account. Keep ‘em coming, Nutn!

AK Rage

I am just so invested in Mora Knives. These do offer 6" blades though. I'll check them out sometime soon.

Willie Everett

I like them, I would like to see a return of the seax machetes and them release a 6" or 8" version.

Hold Fast Joe

I have a few mora knives too, they do a fine job!

Phillip Robinette McKracken

Nutn, just to back up the truck. .. did I hear you prioritize camera equipment above an axe for a hiking kit? Is this to help identify the bear that ate you, while you sat in the cold outside? (Iron sharpens Iron) Otherwise , always a decent knife as well for me. No selfie sticks however.

hoplite ⚔️

Man I love Cold Steel. Thank you Nutn for the intro.

hoplite ⚔️

I hear you. Companions hanging. Bright orange bushcraft for DSK.

Andrettski

Late to the party. This KRV got buried in my inbox. Total no-brainer on these, as usual, high value Cold Steel knives. Slock Master for me, the blade shape and a skosh longer

Logan Holmberg

I like the red handle. If its going in a kit I like items to be high viz. I've gotten over tacticool long ago and prefer something I can find easily in a bag or when the light sucks.

Joseph

I carry a kershaw hatchet when back packing. Full size axe when camping. Might integrate a folding saw in the future. Haven’t done much battoning. But I’m sure I’ll need to at some point, so I need to pick up some kind of blade for that. This may be just the knife, since I’m already carrying a hatchet. Just leave my main tactical folder at home and replace it with this on the trail
