We got to know the FN 502 .22 very well. It mimics its FN 509 centerfire counterparts well but in some ways is even better. I'll go over the included features of this FDE FN 502 and you'll see it doesn't lack anything. For instance it has has an extended threaded barrel already setup for a suppressor, no hokey adaptors are needed. First POU will be a true tactical .22, something that other mfrs have tried and failed at.

Its reliability was outstanding, even with promotional medium quality .22 ammo. Accuracy, ergos, suppressor readiness, capacity, SAWC, enjoyability, and more are covered. The crew also loved shooting the FN 502 and became a fave on our testing outings. That is pretty rare for a .22 since it goes up against 9mms usually (which are funner). Competitive options given. And yes I'll make a comparison against the Sig P322 and let you know which one I prefer.

FN 502: Best Tactical .22 Pistol Yet

I am so glad to see your review on Patreon. I've been stressing on this subject cause i'd love to buy the Sig p322 but im seeing so many issues and a complete lack of Sig to remedy the barrel fowling.

Cheesewell

Anything by FN is quality 👌

Joseph

Negative Mk4 tactical or lite

BRIAN J ANDERSON

Been looking to Replace my Sig mosquito. Is this the one! ?

John K Stankiewicz

Also check the Taurus TX 22 competition model... not sure if Nutn has done a video on it. Personally I haven't ran it suppressed, but it has been great so far.

The Nutnfancy Project

I haven't done the Comp model specifically but the TX22 has been reviewed and is rec'd. I bought one! I think I show it in this review. Keep it lubed and good quality .22 and it's reliable.

Robert Avery

I'm definitely interested in one of these

Nice pistol! I got my g19 years ago plastic sights never changed it. I think it would help improve accuracy a little to change them out for competition. I never realized how challenging it is until a couple weeks ago brought my parents and my mom is a pretty good shot and she only had a hit or two after 20 shots. Btw I knew you were fairly close with jardine but dang you know his hand preference? Hahaha

David Goodridge

Honestly it’s not often I get excited about a pistol you review. But! This 502 is exciting. Because of the cost I do shoot mostly 22’s. And I want to shoot, not fix jams. Thanks for pointing this pistol out.

Beau Dantin

Thanks for getting that review out to us. .22s are so picky I only trust you with the review! Looks like a winner for sure!

Josh Winkler

I wonder how good those new FN15 Tac3 s are.

Trustful Marksman

I bought one a few months ago and love it. Fired over 1000 rounds and can only remember one failure to feed and one failure to extract. There were a few failures to go into battery but mostly after several hundred rounds without cleaning. Huge win

Jordan Parker

I was considering the TX22 or Sig P322, but now it looks like I have another contender to ponder. Thanks for the great review!

Daniel

Pest control? Doesn't he mean rat jihad? lol

Get out of here Nutn’! I shoot all the time. I shot last week and again today, just got back a couple hours ago. As a matter of fact, I ran my TX 22 today. 150 rounds. One lite primer strike. My TX has seen lots of cheap ammo, runs like a champ. It’s also a gun that usually makes me look good. The bullets seem to think their way to the target for me! I have (2) 10 rounders that came with the gun and four more 16 rounders that I bought. No complaints at all. Well… The safety is kind of stupid but, everything else is fantastic.

Looks beautiful but I am just not a fan of the cocked-and-locked manual of arms... why not just put a decocker on there and let me cock the hammer when I’m ready to fire?

Mat

Browning Buckmark for me. Had a P22 for years and it made me swear off 22 pistols until I tried that Buckmark

Matthew Hargis

The TX22 is my favorite .22 pistol that I own. I haven’t shot the FN yet. It sure seems like a great find. Thanks for the review Nutn!

RowdyRon

How do you think this would stack against a Ruger SR22? ("Ruger SR22: Special Ops Ready?!") - from the TNP vault That FN looks sweet, and the price was really decent. Thanks Nutn.

Paul Griech

would you get the glock 22 or this FN 502

Maplebrew

Just grabbed a TX22 comp in April and it’s been flawless. She lives in the barn and when a sparrow, starling go by they get zapped. I’m about 400 rounds in and flawless operation out of box (1 jam) mag load issue by me.

Maplebrew

Tx22 Comp!! Love mine

Blizzak454

"European firearms junket..." that sounds like shots fired at TFBTV hehe. As far as .22, we're been rocking the old school Walther P22 for a while. Yeah it needs plenty of lube, other than that, its been perfect.

Anthony Schaad

Really like the looks of that one!! I myself actually don’t have a 22 pistol an been eyeing you basic ruger or I really like the new SIG 22 but finding either one is a bit challenging lol. Great content NUTN as always!! Ps gonna try n snag one of those Atlas watch too lol

Andrettski

I understand shooting starlings, but why sparrow's? Are they a nuisance?

Andrettski

I think this FN 502, in this flavor, is perhaps thee best looking .22 semi-auto pistol I've seen. I've never shot an FN pistol but man I think you pay for what you get and there's a lot to like with this gun. And look, no 'Curse of the Desert'. I recently got the M9 .22 because I have the 92fs and love both. At 23:11 you said "left side of the pistol here". Thanks to Mrs. Nutn for braving the snow and cold for the GRV.

Nathan P Hubsch

Reminds me, I need to take my Whitney Wolverine to the range. Got it cleaned and lubed, it's my only 22 gun, lol.

Downtrodden

Personally, I like my SR22 enough where I’m not going to immediately start a search for the FN. My only complaint is the SR’s “backwards” safety. This FN looks sweet.

Paul Kwiatkowski

This will go with my 1981 vintage Ruger Standard Pistol, I used my whole $125 paycheck.

Ruben Lopez

⚡️⚡️⚡️Love the 22 vids!⚡️⚡️⚡️

Robert Avery

Really impressive reliability and accuracy. Would like to add 1 to the collection. Thanks nutn

hoplite ⚔️

Love them too. Makes me want to get a whole collection of 22 pistols

hoplite ⚔️

What a gorgeous looking gun. The bronze with the FDE is 👌🏼 22 pistol collecting would be so cool. Music at the end made me think of clubbing when I was younger. Awesome vid Nutn. Thanks as always.

TNSheep

P320 is far far far far far better than the 502, and the 502 is a great trainer, but the sites on it SUCK.

Josh P.

I bought a ruger MKIV lite, and I love 22 pistols, always handy, and fun to shoot!

Adam Sheldon

Verdict still out for me. When ever you get your hands on new Sig P322 this would be a good showdown.

Tyler Farver

I have a borrowed P322. Only issue is there is no rear sight after the optic is installed. Great gun. I have been trying to get the FN 502 for awhile. Availability on them has been terrible.

Lon N

The first thing I did when I spotted it was pop over to the web store... no joy.

Pedro

My buddy just got his from BPS. He loves it
