At the end of the day, the few dollars saved by not getting a leatherman don’t make up for the loss in quality and performance. I love my Free P4 and use it all the time. If it’s gonna see high frequency of use there’s no sense in trying to cut corners on the price.

The good news is, the pliers are good and the Phillips driver has a long shank on it. Between that and the scissors, those are my most used tools on an MT. It's something to throw in the glovebox, I like the Nextool, I'll have to pick up one of those. My main gripe with the leatherman is the cheap steel. I'd like to have the option to get a better and tougher steel in a leatherman, even if it's 2 - 3 times the price.

Speaking of hard to get stuff Nutn. If you ever want to review something from Wander Tactical, I'll hook you up. I have their Barracuda knife, trying to get Drago the Beast, which is a giant Bowie knife.

Thanks for the review, I'm a bit of a MT junky, I drank the koolaid long ago and bought a BG MT. Agree with all your thoughts, not the worst I've owned, but wouldn't buy it again or recommend.

Agreed on almost every Gerber MT nowadays. Leatherman, SOG, and Victorinox all the way.

I have and like the leatherman p4 but I find myself carrying the Swiss tool more often.

The only time I broke a tool on a Leatherman they fixed it free no questions asked. Best customer service ever.

I never thought I'd see a Bear Grylls item reviewed on the Nutnfancy channel. So happy with my Leatherman Juice S2 and Leatherman Wave.

Glad you at least put the Gerber Suspension in the Options list. It is a good everyday MT consistent with your previous review of that product. I'll pass on this BG branded one. Keep up the good work!

Looks like it's based off the Gerber 800. Except the 800 has a file and replaceable cutters. I assume cost cutting to make cheaper.

Love an MT vid. Squirt comes along in the pocket daily. Wave in the Fanny pack when things need to escalate. Want to get a couple Sidekick for the BOK and LBE.

Not super excited about anything BG branded. Seems like junk to sell to people who don’t know better. Some QVC vibes.

used to be garbage stuff, guessing it still is? Gerber mystery steel is just... crap. There are some nice looking gerbers out there, and a few good performers, but... overall, gerber sucks at knives. The Gerber MT is decent, unique, but I've always been a leatherman guy.

This MT seems to be based on the original generation Gerber Suspension (not the new one reviewed by Nutn recently). I had one and it is heavy and not outstanding. I bought the gen 2 Suspension based on Nutn’s review and so far, so good.
