Watch show surviving for now due to donor support! Here I show you the incredibly cool Luminox Sea Bass, made in Switzerland, officially imported by Mondaine Watch. It's a hard one to find and I'm not sure it's in current production so get it now if you like it. This legible Luminox is a T25 Tritium diver with Carbonox case, mineral crystal, and super cool hands/face colors (unlike any other Luminoxes reviewed to this date). It's super light, super legible, fun, and is high value...especially for a Swiss watch. Dive proving video shown on the Sea Bass.

I’m a total dive watch fan and love tritium divers. 10 feet is about my range as well! I saw a 42mm Glycine Combat Sub Automatic on a “007” nato strap at Sam’s Club for about $250. Now I have to wait until Fathers’ Day to unbox it.

I love those watches. "Kick his ass, Sea Bass!"

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. If you are wearing a nice watch and a cool, new pair of shoes, maybe expensive sunglasses, the rest of the outfit doesn’t matter, chicks will dig you.

JFire

Loving the WRVs!

You throw a job in there, and you are basically a unicorn these days 😂

Man I want a Luminox! I’ve had my eye on the Sea Turtle for years. But it’s just not in the budget.

My understanding, having worked with industrial radiography, is that T25 or T100 is the amount of millicuries the tube gave off when it was created. Which is directly related to the quantity of tritium inside the tube. The half life of tritium is the same no matter what (about 12 years). So a larger volume will last longer. I.e. will stay brighter longer. But you can't actually see tritium decay. What we see is a beta particle interacting with phosphorescent paint. A bigger tube with more paint should be brighter since it's absorbing a larger amount of the energy given off by the decay. In other words, a T100 after 12 year will have the same amount of tritium as a T50 that's brand new. However, because the vile has more phosphorescent paint it can take advantage of more beta particles. In theory, a 12 yr old T100 would still be slightly brighter than a new T50. But there's other factors. If they paint is low quality it might have poor brightness regardless. Or the paint may burn out before the tritium.

Great review! I love my Luminox EVO Navy Seal in with orange font/markings! Been looking to add another to the collection. Thinking either the Sea Bass or the Sea Lion. Ty Nutn

I got the Luminox Navy Seal a few years ago after seeing it on Nutn's review, and I love it. I want another. Sea Turtle is on my short list...along with the Sea Lion and now the Sea Bass. But yeah, that budget.

Joshua Pulliam

I’ve had the Sea Turtle in my Amazon “save for later” for close to three years now.

Yes. I’m an expert. I’m not married. Girlfriends cost a minimum of $300-500 a month. I assume you’re married though.

I have had 4 Luminox dive watches. Used them scuba diving, sailing and traveling in the MidEast. They are NOT the same quality they were back in their heyday of the 1990s (their watch bands are garbage quality) and some of their current designs are "meh". Isobrite, Deep Blue, Casio and Hazard 4 dive watches actually produce better quality active watches. Lots of problems with salt water over time as well (I'm down to 2 Luminox watches now).

I used to be a BIG Luminox dive watch fan and have owned 4 over the years. I understand their appeal and their aesthetic...my oldest is 28 years old. (For you youngsters Luminox was THE DIVE WATCH back in their heyday as the "Navy Seal watch" of the 1990s). Taken them continually to a depth of 150 feet with no problems (but keep in mind my cheaper Casio G-Shocks survived as well). The quality of their tritium tubes and their plastic watch bezels are now garbage compared to Deep Blue, Garmin, Isobrite and Hazard 4 (some of which are cheaper in price). Salt water will also eat up their watch bands and plastic housing after just a couple of years. You can definitely tell they are not the same quality watch brand they once were but their prices remained high. I now consider Luminox my "air-soft brand" of tactical dive watches. 😂

Loved the review... am a big Luminox fan but there are so many competitive options, I feel that Luminox is slipping. Also, where is you get the cool Dive Patch... VERY COOL!!!!

BadgerTails

Yes, love the Vintage GL0457 I just received!

BadgerTails

YES! Another WRV for the weekend win! Gracias!

Bluegill097

Excellent content! I have wanted a Luminox forever. What did Joma do to become un-named in the vid???

Jordan Parker

I keep looking at Luminox and ArmourLite Isobrite watches, but there are too many I like to pick one, so I end up not buying anything... Thanks for the excellent review, Nutn!

NEVER STOP THE WRV’s!

Harddog

My first Luminox I got 20 years out of. My second about 6 months. They are not what they use to be......beware! Will not buy again.....,

I love WRVs. Please keep ‘em coming. They always bring a big smile to my face.

Chris Kales

Man that's a nice watch Nut'n! I love that yellow face and the black bezel and band. Thanks for bringing it to the table.

WPSPSS

WRVs for life!!!

Jesse (Sphinx)

I used to like the lightweight Luminox watches, but they fall apart. Bezel fell off, strap snapped in two, etc. Still like their Atacama watches though. So bummed about drop getting out of watches too. My Glycine Combat Sub GMT "Coffee" edition is one of my favorite watches--nice collaboration Drop did with Glycine.

BadgerTails

WRISTCANDY dot com for the NATO strap rabbit hole, had to order my first NATO strap from these guys for a Moscow Classic Aero Navigator I just snagged; gonna try out the Luxe Asteroid Grey Seatbelt Nylon, 22MM. I'll do a vid when the new band comes in.

Dusty Sabedra

I cringe with Luminox, I want to love the brand so much. I had the Navy Seal version (over ten years ago don’t remember the model) and at first loved it. White dial on black with the Navy Seal logo velcro strap. It did not last long. The bezel got dinged up quickly, velcro strap did not last long. Then I wore it wake boarding and some how the mineral crystal was scratched to hell. Hopefully since then, Luminox have gotten their act together with the quality. As always thanks for the review! Making me think I should give them one more shot.

Long live the WRV! Great video.

Love these yellow and orange faced watches. Need to add something with that kinda punch to the collection. I still like that bright Parnis Chrono you reviewed but it needs a hands mod like crazy.

Ben Wagner

Nutn, can you make a video showing how to do the hands changes?
