Yum. I’ve spent a lot of time watching TNP Cold Steel reviews.

Jayson Fraser

I love my 4-max scout, but it doesn’t get carried much. For the weight I’d rather have something like an SRK. But when I want a folding survival knife, it’s reassuring to have something so stout. Midway USA often has them on sale around $50. The AD-10, on the other hand, gets a lot of pocket time. It’s similarly sturdy but a bit more refined, and easier to carry (though the 4-max isn’t as bad as you might think). I’d love a Nutnfancy review of the AD-10 and AD-15!

Love those stippled handles, same as the Range Boss I think.

Ian

Knife isn't my style, but Nutn krv's are. Good to learn about some new knives.

Shawn Kuse

The Max Scout seems like a solid knife, but too heavy for EDC. I carry about 3 knives every day. Spyderco Police 4, Delica, Victorinox SD Classic, I have carried the 6 inch Hold-Out. It is slim and not very heavy. Love Cold Steel!

Mike

Looks like a great car knife. I don't usually worry much about knife weight in my pocket, but I don't know if I'm man enough for a 12-ouncer.

Zachary Jackson

Wait until the mayhem gets released later this year. I’m gonna edc that for sure.

JFire

Love the KRVs…still looking for my next fav edc. No better place than here to find it

I was just looking at what cold steel has been up too. This doesn't excite me much. Heaviest I'll carry is an old Benchmade 477 and when I put that on my desk I'll downgrade to a Spyderco dragonfly. It's like night and day weight wise and cutting ability too. Hate on Benchmade but dang that old 477 is a slicer!

I love my blackout Code 4. Kinda the opposite of the 4Max, though.

I went on a CS buying spree after that Hold Out review. I do believe I scared off a potential mugger in an alley one night opening up that Hold Out XL. The sound it makes opening up w/ a flick o' the wrist is incredible.

Aaron Burnett

Definitely a CS fanatic from Nutn’s old school CS KRVs from way back. Some of my faves are the Voyager series, the Code 4, and the Broken Skulls in CTS-HXP.

No experience with Aus10, but past experience with “aus” blades make me say… pass. Admittedly, could be wrong, but for $80, not interested. VERY good looking knife, for me firmly in second cool category, but man, for $80, gimme better steel. If I’m paying that, I’d rather go to a $115ish price point. Example, why not Recon 1 @ $120 with S35 ? Trying to be humble and open to comments/education here

Love my 4Max Scout but don't carry it. SAWC is important to me. I carry an Endela or Delica everyday.

I'm with you bro! I picked up a Recon 1 tanto a month or two ago off Amazon for $87 and I love it! ($99. 95 at the moment I'm posting this) Looking at two tools that can basically do the same job, I'd rather have S35vn over AUS10A any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Also, 10+ ounces just isn't a price I'm willing to pay for a folding knife. Recon 1 is 1/2 the weight and carries smaller than you'd think. For me personally the Recon 1 at 5.2 oz is where folding knives end. If you're a knife guy you probably have a bunch of different knives that can do different things, if the job is to much for a Recon 1 I'm using a fixed blade. But, as stated in the vid, if it's about 2nd cool - Rock on!

Chris Fischer

It might be a good hpac knife for someone running a checkpoint

If you like the Endela check out the Stretch 2 in K390. Very similar size/weight, but Buzz Lightyear edge retention and the best handle shape for my personal hand that I know of. I don't have a Delica or an Endela, but I have an Endura with the similar handle shape and I like the Stretch 2 handle way better.

Greg Malcom

Thanks brother. I'll check it out. Thanks!

Nutn - most of the knife links were bad for me.

Andrettski

Me too, ERROR on each one

The AD15 is just awesome, so glad I got it, what a beast.

Andrettski

My large Cold Steels - ALL in S35VN - Code 4 (4.2 oz), AK-47(5.5), Recon 1(5.5), SR 1(7.2) and AD15(6.5). I got the large LUZON(8CR13-9.3oz) which is just redonkulously long(6"blade 13.5" OAL), want to sell it actually.

Downtrodden

Cold Steel just doesn’t excite me. I always have time for a Honey Badger. Great colors that I can match to particular systems.

Loved the video, just to big and clunky of a knife for my liking. Not sawc at all😂

RckyMntnMn

I keep this in my EDC / Get Home bag. It’s tough, easy to sharpen and basically takes the place of a fixed blade. Also it’s compact enough to stow away on my internal Velcro molle panel using the pocket clip. It makes more sense in an urban environment IMO.

Steve Feeser

Cool knife. Too heavy. In the woods I carry a fixed blade that is better than that and weighs less. On the street I’ll take a mid size Spyderco and a spare mag for my 1911 (alloy frame of course).

Zachary Jackson

The cold steel mayhem is going to weigh 13oz
