Ser, i dont see a hell yes option. There has to be a mistake.

Thor Allen

How about a head to head comparison between sig 9mm and glock?

Nicolas Royston

Contrasted to recent offerings like the fn 545 and 510. And the viability of the big calibers during times like the pandemic when you might only be able to find fmjs and benefit from a bigger bullet.

Lorenzo R. Garza

How about you do that and spare us the boring details?

Tex

Interesting idea. Metal frame in the polymer frame heavy world. I have been thinking to buy a metal frame again. I regret selling a 92FS years ago.

Patrick Richards

IISA M1A or FN FNAR Love anything Sig though! Original TNP gun was Sig and Glock

Dean

yes please. I forget is that 45 or 40. Love my p226 e^2. I just added a different trigger recently.

Thor Allen

Easy, the correct answer is glock.

Frank Plissken

The P227 is very interesting! I've always been 9mm heavy, but .45acp and 10mm are looking better all the time. I think a full sized da/sa .45 might be just the ticket.

Frank Plissken

Glock is boring. Sure, It gets the job done but it's less fun. Like a 1997 Toyota corolla.

Andrew Baldwin

These IISA episodes are swiftly becoming my favorites. I'm all about vintage firearms staying relevant! Glock copies and black rifle variants make me yawn.

Bernal

Beretta 130 tactical

Bernal

Oops 1301👍

Shawn Kuse

Any handgun review is fine by me since that is the only format of a weapon that I EDC.

Younggun995

Personally I'd like some more adventure vids. But I'm a sucker for sigs

Tim Bone

For sure...and please, please touch on in the video the availability, cost, evolution and POU of the modern .45 ACP round...and what role that played in the popularity (or lack there of) of the P227

BadgerTails

Yes, I am down with the SIGness and a side of Laco or Sternglas WRV, yeah der!!

Rob Miller

No idea what that is so I voted yes.

Zack Harris

Adventure and philosophy vids!

Porter3861

The 220 is my fav all around .45ACP and very accurate. I voted YES!

BadgerTails

What do you ride Jared? My daily is a Kaw Concours 1400, side bags removed and only running the top box.

Jared Shaughnessy

I just picked up a 2014 Ducati Monster 1200. Looking for soft bags so I can do some sport touring on it!

Steelhorses

Of course we do. Do some IISA KRVs too

Andrettski

Funny, I just signed the papers at my FFL yesterday for, not a SIG but the Springfield XDM Elite Compact OSP .45. The deal was just too sweet, $449 w/free shipping and 6 mags. Looks like .45 ACP is gonna be in the CCW rotation very soon.

BadgerTails

OMG THAT is a BEAST! Post up initial impressions in the Community section please!

Jardine

Of course!

Carioca

I could care less about .45 but since you did the 226 6 months ago and it is still awesome. & I do like Sigs I voted yes. But would prefer you did a review the next 2 guns on my wishlist the POF Revolution 308 & Genesis Arms Gen 12 7" SBS iykyk

Joseph

Absolutely!!!! Been waiting on this forever!!! Please!!!!!!!! I have two P227’s and there’s not enough content on the gun. We need an update, since they are no longer in production, and want to hear your thoughts also on the P220 and how it compares. Wouldn’t be bad to see a Glock 21 double feature

Joseph

BRING 45 ACP BACK HOSS!!!!!

Joseph

HELL YEAH WE NEED 45 IN THE MODERN DAY!

Joseph

GLOCK PERFECTION

Jacob M

Yes! But where can we purchase 1??

Daniel Johnson

The P226 is my favorite Sig thus far, but never seen a 227 in the wild before. This will be interesting to see. I voted yes and save the surprise for the video release!

Someone needs to convince me of the relevance of 45acp, I think, very practically. Why have a 45 when 9 does so similar these days in terms of visual ballistics. Garand thumb did a side by side at one point a bit ago and I could not see a huge difference in damage. I think the test was with ball, so there is that but with contemporary 9mm loads compared with contemporary 45 loads, are the differences meaningful? Don't get me wrong, i like the idea of 45, but is the caliber still relevant for self defense usage. I think that would be a great idea episode, now that I am writing this!

Steven Hunter

I would really appreciate a Beretta PMX smg review.

BadgerTails

In the 1980s for example, the Colombian hit mens' favorite weapon used in FL for hits was.......in .45, the MAC-10. No, that's not Hollywood bravado speak for a caliber war, it was an actual war on the streets played out for real, and what happens to a hit man who can't kill people, he's paid to kill? He gets smoked. Fast. That being said, IDK what your parameters are for SD/EDC. IDK Garand Thumb. I used to put people into body bags for a living, FWIW....

Seeker Keyl

Good info I had not heard before and not doubting your credentials. However, have things changed from the 80s in terms of powders and projectile design that have preferentially impacted 9? Or is it other factors (sawc, for instance) that led to folks moving to 9 (particularly after 9 got a really bad rap decades ago and now people don't tend to think that way)? I am asking simply because I am curious.

Andrettski

Big Bullets make big holes.

Andrettski

Almost all calibers will kill if targeted correctly at their able distances. I'd dare anyone to stand 7 yards in front of 10-30 rounds of 22LR to their head or chest, don't think I'd get any takers. And no, I'm not talking about someone loaded with body armor.

BadgerTails

Oh no, great points all and let me add a caveat or two; I'm not a big believer in gel tests as there is nothing in the gel block to simulate bone or movement of the target. In a parallel metaphor let's go to cars/engines, and torque/horsepower, aka energy delivered. Quite literally, an advancing violent subject "feels" the energy more from .45 than 9mm/.38, bigger holes and a heavier object. (124gr vs. 230gr) I believe any cultural movement to 9mm were based in $$ economics, and ergonomics. There are A LOT of competition shooters who ran .45s for years, and because of arthritis or other wrist issues, went to .38 super/9mm for less wrist impact. Now, for the body bag experience: .45 (subsonic) remains in the body, 9mm goes through and through. In general, which is honestly no BFD as the most corpses I dealt with were killed with .22s and those were still in the body as well. Sidebar: why did I buy a Desert Eagle in 50 AE? The 50 AE at 100m still has twice (200%) of the .45 energy at it's muzzle. Energy. Efficiency. Make sense? How long have you been shooting? MIL/LE work in there?

Seeker Keyl

Killer! A wheelie machine, that one.

Seeker Keyl

Just another dumbass civilian, here, haha. Only shooting for about three years like a bunch of now-gun owners out there. I appreciate the explanation, for sure. Bullet weight was the main thing that came out in my mind that would be a major factor. I suppose I still would like to see an iisa for 45, particularly given the presence of (and nutn's professed lust for) 10mm. At present, I only have 9mm and 380 as far as handguns go. Yet to go for a bigger caliber.

Joseph

Knock down power. Stopping power. No one walks off a 45. But, 9’s can stop short and do. 45 it doesn’t matter. Just get a .45 and you’ll see that shooting a 9mm is like shooting a .22 lr after 45 and 10mm. I carry a g43 sometimes or a ruger LCP. But my g19 took a back seat because it’s really not difficult to carry the G30. Anyway, 45 is also fun to shoot. But dude if you want the best carry round. .357 sig. yeah it’s expensive, but you can practice with 40 and 9 and occasionally let a mag off of 357 sig. it’s better than 9 and 40. Less recoil than .40 but expands and penetrates better than 9. But doesn’t over penetrate like 9 because better expansion. More reliable bottle neck case and more accurate laser beam flight past. Just get a .357 sig. fits in the same size gun as a 40 or 9 and can swap Calibera It’s a bigger system. If you can carry the same amount of ammo as you normally would a 9mm then it’s fine. I CCW a G30, with one mag in a back carrier ITWB right in front of my holster on the 3 o’clock, gun 3:30 or 4:00 o’clock. Second backup mag goes in my cargo pocket. Sometimes I have the extra mag in a fanny pack. But 31 rounds of 45 is significant.

Joseph

I second this video idea. .45 AARP POU, is it still awesome. Also no .357 sig content and very little.40 in the project

Joseph

They’ve been out of production for a while. But my local gun shop still has a brand new FDE one. I bought the black one from them.

Joseph

FYI, anyone looking for a P227, my local gun shop has one in FDE. Brand new. It’s just been sitting on the shelf forever. The one I bought from them was marked 2016 production. They don’t fool with shipping, but maybe they want to get rid of it

BadgerTails

There's a GREAT YT channel running right now called "dirty civilian". There are no dumb questions, you're in the right place. If the terminal ballistics are a concern and you're momentarily stuck in the 9mm Fiocchi makes a killer 158gr subsonic 9mm round. Just make sure it the SUB functions the slide on your semi-autos. Drive on!

The Nutnfancy Project

I would totally get it if they gave me a great deal on it, FDE variation would be special

Joseph

I think it was around $1,000 maybe $1,100. Mine was the pain black one for like $830. I would buy it if I didn’t already have two of them. The full size and the carry model.

TNSheep

Gotta find a way to convince Nutn to blow a wad on Volquartsen. =) There isn't much I know of that I'm excited about right now even getting NDA information with work. I'm just... not thrilled about anything. The Canic Rival was the last thing that really excited me a lot.

Tim Bone

Chicago cop here...what NO ONE talks about and what should be a talking point: You see your target REACT and you see your IMPACTS with a .45ACP round (at least in normal self-defense distances). A bad guy will jerk back, his jacket/shirt will move, etc. when hit by a .45. I don't need to keep pumping rounds at (or into) a target that's doesn't seem to be reacting. So many cops and CCLs these days are mag dumping into targets when they don't have to because they're not seeing a reaction...and believe they are missing! The modern 9mm JHP rounds do a great job...but so many shooter seems to be acting as if they are missing. It's one of the reasons I always carry .45ACP, .40S&W or 10mm to this day.
