Chances are you're not shooting your Glocks that much. Few do unless they're competing or reviewing! So lets re-visit the Advantage Arms Glock 22 conversions and see if they still play.

We are at Tropic Thunder for this I'll get down to a lot of shooting to include an accuracy demonstration. Since you guys want this IISA episode longer rather than shorter I'll include a few competitive options here too. Would I still buy a Adv Arm Glock .22 conversion?!

I always vote for longer format. Looking forward to this one.

IMO the 2011's will be the future of sidearms. They have come a long way in the past couple years. One reason being that you can give a staccato p and a glock 17 to almost anyone and they will shoot better with the 2011. There is an initial price difference, but you can also maintain a higher level of proficiency on less training ammo because of how much work the gun does for you.

Happy to see the 22LR content coming!

Aceman1126

Left a real comment on the video but I have the same kit and its tons of fun. Not as reliable as dedicated 22s but it is what it is. It's good for cheap training at the range that's about it. If you want a serious 22 get a mk4 or any of the other proven 22s but if you wanna practice your draw or teach newbies its perfect. Bonus it didnt crack the 3d printed frame I put it on lol

Patrick Brichta

Hummmmm, I run nothing but bulk in my Taurus TX22 and have zero problems at all. Maybe I'm just lucky.

DACampbell

Since I don't have the conversion kit, the FN 502 would be the choice. Nice options shown in this vid. Thanks

Ian

Aguila has been pretty solid .22 for my tx22 (purchased off of recommendation from your vid)

Greg Malcom

I bought the Glock 44 (which is 22LR). It has been 100% with all but one brand of ammo. Wasn't sure if I would like it... Turns out I love it. Saves so much money and can practice my trigger control and shooting to reset.

Downtrodden

I have the same Glycine and love it. I bought a SR22 when I lived in MA and it continues to be been solid. Controls are different, 10 rounds suck, but it’s light and easy to load. We get our Glock training fix with Umarex airsoft pistols. Green gas with blowback gives them a nice feel. You can get a lot of reps and practices good fundamentals.

Jon Pease

no, not still awesome. But, your point about Ammo is correct. Let's find a good .22 LR. Great work for TNP. I just sent you $20 to buy a box for testing. Your Awesome Nutn!

Chris Cripe

Despite the negative reviews, I bought the Tactical Solutions slide for a gen 3 19. It's been fine but I only shoot cci minimag in it.

Matthew Hargis

Bummer Nutn about the TX22. It’s my favorite .22 pistol. I have good luck with mine with several types of ammo. Not always 100%, but it’s a .22. With CCI over 90%. I love the 16rd mags, I have a few 21rds extensions. Also, going back ole school in the project…I love my S&W full size 12rd .22. I love the old reviews of the .22s. Thanks again for a great vid and for the work. -Sharkey

The only .22 I own so far is a Whitney Wolverine

Rob K

Bought one off the initial review and love it. Mine doesn't cycle federal champion bulk but it eats up remington golden bullets. Sitting around 3k rounds through it. I got the 25 round mag but had a ton of failures to chamber (just like Nutn experienced in the video) due to an overly strong mag spring . I left it fully loaded for a year and it completely fixed the issue.

Jonathon Hurley

The old Browning Buckmark for me still scratches the itch for a .22 pistol. Hard to beat.

Brian Driver

I enjoy Feature length vids. About diving watches, post salt water immersion, what specific PM's do you recommend?

Andrew Baldwin

Yes yes yes more .22 reviews and IISA please! I live for rimfire recreational shooting and I think a lot of us do in our current economic situation.

Harold Galen McPheron

Try Aquila 22's they run great in all my semi auto 22's, both rifle and pistol...

Tyler Farver

I had one of these for awhile, ditched it due to feeding issues. FN 502 has been outstanding suppressed. Only mod was upgrading the recoil spring.

Andrettski

I'm with you, if I'm gonna practice with my 9's, I'm gonna practice with 9 ammo to work on good follow-up shots. Keep the recoil the same IMO.

Racing Psychosis

Yep. I'ld just buy laser cartridge or practice dryfire to do the same reps as 22 cal thru my Glock.

Plumber Angelo

Desert curse strikes again man. Yikes!

JK

Hey Nutn! On an slightly related topic, I was revisiting some of your old videos on YouTube and was watching one of your vids on the M9/92. Do you think the flush fit 18 round mecgar mags now available bring any relevance back to the platform as far as it being a contender against more modern offerings? My 92 and M9A3 will always have a special place in my heart, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on it in an IISA haha.

Zach Maddox

You can buy a TX-22 for less money... it'll be more reliable... and it'll run most bulk 22

Iowa Dave

If practicing with Glock ergonomics is the point, then why not buy a Glock 44 in .22 lr, which is Glock 19 form factor? The Advantage Arms website is listing their product at $375 today. An online search today quickly found a G44 for $386. Why not just buy the G44 and have a whole separate gun? The only advantage I see in Advantage Arms is mag size, and is that really that important for a plinker? As for me, I'm already invested in the Browning Buckmark platform and associated magazines.

Jamie Ayers

I bought it back then. Have the CA model. Picky on ammo. Got to be lubed. TX22 comp gets most of my .22 shells lately.

TireManTim

I really like my TX22.

kylenor

I wanted a Glock in .22 and bought the G44. The thing has performed amazingly. I have roughly 400 rounds through it and have only had one hiccup using mostly Walmart Federal blue box .22. I actually can't believe how well it performs. Another great IISA Nutn!

Andrew Koch

I have 2 AA 22 lr kits. One is an older one that is for my gen 4 Glock 21 and I have a newer one that is optics cut for my gen 3 Glock 17. I have had excellent luck with both of them. I only use the 10 round mags that came the conversion kits. Very reliable for me. I have not modified my Glock frames at all. I have added a Holosun SCS to the newer version and not had any reliablity issues. In terms of ammo, I primary shoot Blazer 22lr 40 grain. It is about $4.00/50rnds at Fleet Farm here in Wisconsin. Much cheaper than CCI. A reason I like the AA kit so much is it is compatible with a gen 3 Glock which can make use of the Endo tactical adapter and it is optics cut. Otherwise I would likely look at a G44 or an FN 502

TNSheep

Just throw all your glocks out. Garbage. =)
