In the cold snow we get to it. Chad from KelTec was in attendance for this one too. We talk about and test the very cool KT R50. This is the totally-legal version of the KelTec P50 reviewed here: https://youtu.be/KMozl3WX4nY. It also uses the standard capacity magazine of 50 rounds. Of course here in YT we have to use blocked off 29 rd mags ha ha.  You'll see on-steel shooting and some accuracy representations. All in all this will be another gun that KelTec might not be able to keep in stock. But then again the pricing and availability realities of 5.7x28mm ammo (long ranted about here) may sink in the end. Another in field review brought to you by long term donors to TNP.

Fave Holosun sights perfect for the R50, I'd prefer the AEMS btw

Cool gun, unfortunately I live in commie state. Try using tennis racket tape instead of electrical tape for cheek riser. You can add as much as you like for height and cushioning. + it doesn't make that adhesive mess.

Chris Kalla

I'd love 5.7 - if enough people start buying platforms it might be cheap and available eventually but that seems a long way off.

Ian

Chad, you join yet?

Racing Psychosis

Interesting vid, but yea not interested in the least by anything Keltec still after all of these years in watching TNP. I'm doing fine without them.

Matthew Sinn

Hell yeah. I love my P50 SBR. Fantastic gun. Legit option for WROL (assuming a larger caliber isn’t justified) and HD.

Matthew Sinn

There's no accounting for taste, after all. To each their own. I personally love their innovation and favor several of their designs over competitive types... (RDB over AR-15, KS7 over [insert other pump shotgun here], P17 over [insert almost good .22 pistol here]) But I'm definitely a gun hobbyist and am happy to work with odd quirks of guns that have marginal benefits that I favor.

One thing I always look for in a review is the ejection pattern. When watching this video, the pattern looks really good. Many follow the same tracks, even if alternating. Nothing too far forward or to the back. I think I would like this rifle for a pack. May have to rethink a bugout weapon if I owned one.

Guy Actual

Yeah... But you could be doing fine With them too. :D

Racing Psychosis

Yea I'm not into quirks, bullpups, its a different battery of arms. Simillarly I'm also not a AK guy, I generally steer clear of that kind of stuff. Was never brought up around them, and don't really need them. Now Leverguns completely different story.

Rick Grad

Is this the same Chad from the old Have No Fear shoots from a decade ago! If so, that’s a solid TMPr!

Racing Psychosis

Not really, more parts to carry, more battery of arms to learn and memory hole. More quirks to learn. Nobody in my group runs them. In this case, 5.7x28mm ammo, that I would never use with anything else. Yet I give anyone in my group one of leverguns and they immediately know how to use it and likely have some ammo for it.

Robert Avery

I dig 5.7 personally. Also respect to the TNP Titan. Solid truck.

Jesse A Johns

Great video. Really want to get one of those and a PSA Rock. I'd love to see a comparison video of that vs your Papoose.

scott pochini

AAC ammo over at PSA typically is about 25 bucks for a 50 round box

hoplite ⚔️

Fun vid. Love the more candid style of letting the camera run. Way cool gun. Chad!

Rob Miller

Great video. Thank you. Cool gun, looks fun but I’m gonna pass due to the chambering.

kylenor

I love seeing Chad out there! Sometimes I watch those old run and gun videos with Chad. RFB vs .308 Battle Rifles "Have No Fear" is a great series from back in the day. That R50 looks rad! I want to get into 5.7 but I don't want to buy the ammo.

TechNeck

I got really excited..then it occured to me this gun will not make the canadain market before the bill c21 cut off that prohibits the import or manufacture of semi auto firearms in canada... sigh... i hate our son of castro commie dictator.

Justin Wingerter

Great video! Looks like a second cool type gun! Secret service like!! Maybe some practicality? A potential update to the BOK?

DudeDudeDude

Ammo costs prevent the 5.7 from going anywhere for me. Hard PSA until ammo costs get real.

The Nutnfancy Project

R50 is xlnt but the ammo prob on it continues, surprised 5.7 has not come down at all

Red dog 1

Did he find any bear scat out there this time?!!!!!!! Hahhahahaha

Plumber Angelo

Very interesting gun! Chad is awesome and the testing environment gives no mercy. Great video Nutn!

JARMYSTRONG

I didn't get an email that this video was published. Weird. Perhaps people are unsubscribing because they think there isn't content?

Eric Lindsay

I bought the P50 and love it. Also have the PSA Rock and, it rocks…lol.

Steve Feeser

Interesting piece. Possibly home defense piece for the wife. Try insulation for pipes on the stock.

JARMYSTRONG

May be more capable than a Papoose, but sourcing 5.7 ammo in WROL... Stick with the 22.

Clint Raby

I have passed on this caliber up to now. May have to get one of these, really like the folding stock and 50 round mags.

Kinoons

The R50 screams for an SBR. I have a PS90 that o cut down and love shooting., but it’s too large for BOK. The R50 changes that equation.

TRJ

Love it when Chad drops by! I remember OG Chad without a beard and adventures with Chad and the desert bear.

Bernal

I like the design a lot 👍. Looks cool 😎
