Super compact and lightweight carry gun option for you dudes: the Holosun SCS micro red dot. It's mounted on a Gen 5 Glock 19 for testing and I deliver a quick review on this next Holosun. No adaptor plates needed for this one, it will fit your pistol's cutout perfectly if you order the right one.

Oh - I need a new pistol that's cut for one of these!

Moe Mansour

Cool sight. I like holosun.

Tex

What perfect timing..... I started looking at the SCS for my 320 this weekend. Waiting for a sale then buying

I’m currently saving up for a Holosun 507C with the Vulcan ACSS reticle. It’s going on my new PSA Dagger.

Can confirm! I have an SCS on an Advantage Arms 22lr slide with a spare Glock 17 frame and it is good to go! It's paired to my Endotactical adapter as my BOK system!

I’d like to offer an additional POU on this sight- “gateway dot.”. Because the sight is mounted so low on the pistol, you can co-witness with standard height irons. For those of us with years and years of experience with irons only, it can make the transition to a dot much smoother. I learned to be a dot shooter on this platform, and those skills have translated to other pistols where the dot is mounted higher on the slide.

Great sights and yes a good excuse to buy another pistol ha ha. BTW always watch the used gun counters at Cabelas and your gun stores; might find some good stuff there. I have.

Been waiting on this review. Thanks!

Interesting. Didn't know they made these for any but Glock mos's. Like the low profile.

Great video. My son and I are big fans of Holosun. BTW: REALLY like the Vulcan Reticle. Also recently added the Holosun HM3X 3X magnifier on an HBar. Easy & fast ipsc hits at 300 yards with 55 gr ball. 4.64 sec for 5 hits on the shot timer.

I’m a go for you on X, seems like Elon is an ok dude. (for now)

Excellent point! This was my first pistol red dot and now I am hooked!

David Leung

Got one for the VP9, love it!

I got the non solar one, haven't decided what pistol yet. I have a bunch of Holosun's, they are all great.

I remember the days when aimpoint ruled the red dot world and besides eotech they were the only super legit red dot sights. I remember the sting in my wallet as a younger guy buying the comp m3 and then when the micro first came out. I dig holosun and the sig romeo 4s pretty good too. It's nice being able to outfit more gear with red dots that get you almost aimpoint quality. I still say aimpoint still beats everyone when it comes to aiming passivly under NODs but everything else is honestly almost there. Thank God because while those days were better times to be alive, getting a really good red dot kind of sucked. Same thing with prisms too. While the glass in my TA33 is better than the primary arms micro prism and no doubt its probably more durable. I still prefer the PA's reticle, weight, eye relief, ect. I feel like the next gen they makes going to take the acog out.

Salted Senior

Think I might get this for my M&P 2.0 and move that sight (507c w/ACSS) to my Canik Rival.

Racing Psychosis

Nowadays, I won't even bother to buy a handgun (outside of revolvers) that is not optics ready.

Been waffling about getting a RDS for my Glock G40. This looks like it’ll fit the bill.

David Englehart

I just can't get excited about optics on pistols. I'm kinda in the "if it's not broke, don't fix it" camp.

N. M. Robertson

I will watch this with great interest. I've only recently considered getting a red dot for my Glock 5, as none of my shooting glasses give me a clean sight picture. I guess I've reaching that point that all my OF friends talk about.

BadgerTails

Agreed. I got a unit with an Arex Delta M IIRC, and it just sucked. I'll mount it on top of an LVPO which has mount points on one of my ARs. After decades of shooting pistol sights, which are awesome now in the aftermarket, they're just another thing that needs batteries and extensive training.

DudeDudeDude

I like how low this one is. The few that I have tried I have a hard time finding the dot as I want to live up the sights. IMO a red dot us no place on a fighting pistol.

My wife allowed me to go down a rabbit hole. I was saving up for a Shadow Systems and saw Glocks new 49 - her exact words were "GO GET IT!!" I bring it home and tell her I need to get a few accessories. She hears your voice Nutn - "isn't there a green dot thingie? Wanna get that for this?" So, I'm rocking a new Glock 49 with an SCS - love it! I'm still learning how to shoot with a dot on the pistol, but it's coming along nicely. I love my wife!
