We'll start off but what YOU guys are actually using as their tactical carbine choice. This poll I took accurately represents the audience.  I wasn't surprised but maybe you will be! This Pioneer AK variant does hold a 2nd Cool attraction I'll bring up. But I think this 20 inch AKM will be thought of as a more accurate option. We'll see about that. In the meantime I'll cover features and then get to how it shot and would I buy one.

Perfect timing. Just hit the couch after a long work day followed by Jiu Jitsu Training.

Michael Prunty

Cool a GRV on my 50th Birthday! Thanks Nutn!

Aceman1126

My carbine of choice is either the AR I put together with a mishmash of parts and weighs 6lbs WITH a lpvo or my tavor sar. Depends if I'm in the city or hitting the mountains. I really like my tavor 7 but she's a chonker lol. I think my next project will be a super light ar10

Wyatt Harrison

I think I’m gonna pick up one of these 20” radom’s. I’ll sell my Old Zastava PAP M70. I know the radoms barrel is pencil but I love the idea of the velocity attainment and stretching out the range of the x39 with the ranges I often shoot out to. Just trying to dream up a scope option and mount. But as it comes it’s remarkably L.W. (And I kinda don’t want to screw that up by adding 2.5lbs in mounts and a LPVO. Maybe a prism,,, IDK) Thanks for the video ‘n thoughts! Have a good weekend Nutn

Wizard8

Nutn I went to UGETube and did not find this video The newest that is posted is 6 months old. I also subscribe to you over there. Keep up the good work PS you have cost me a shit load of money. but it is well spent.

The Nutnfancy Project

"I really like my tavor 7 but she's a chonker "Yep, Tavor series is just too darn heavy

The Nutnfancy Project

Wyatt! Great to see you here bro! Hey you can have this one, I'll return it to the shop next week. Not super accurate as shown, rest is good. But like you note, easy to make it super heavy with a scope on it.

Aceman1126

I just wish someone would make a direct impingement QUALITY bullpup that would be nice and short and have a long barrel but weigh like 4.5-5.5 lbs... Best of all worlds for me personally for a general use fighting rifle

The Nutnfancy Project

Ha ha...yep I do tend to spend a lot of your guys' money for you. I will start posting on UGETube again real soon. I was demotivated to do so with very low view numbers on it. But with guys like you mentioning it I'll start again.

Dillon durham

The tabuk idea is neat not alot of people doing it nowadays, haven't heard much on pioneer but I do believe X39 isn't doing a whole lot more past 16"

Rob Miller

Happy Birthday. Welcome to your 50’s. I hit that one seven years ago.

Rob Miller

Great of you to chime in here! Thanks for hooking up Nutin over the years. BTW…we have had good luck out to 300 yards with a Vortex venom on C39 V2. Super light weight. Only down side is shooting into the sun at dusk or sunrise.

Rob Miller

I second that “he cost me a shit load of money” comment. Currently on the hunt for a High-power because of that last video. Damn it!

Chris Adkins

Thanks for continuing to put out the excellent content, Nutn. One of the proud 6% here, I grew up shooting MAK-90s and Glock 20s, so naturally I feel right at home here.

Hoben Spalding

Definitely part of the AR club, here... But will always listen to an AK review by our favorite content creator.

Plumber Angelo

An AK review by Nutn in this day and age? Count me in!

Todd Strelka

I love the AK reviews. It's gonna be a good day.

Joshua Dippel

Thank you for the AK content Nutn! … While we can still get ‘em.

Matthew Sinn

After the Bruen decision I'm much less pessimistic about the future of firearm laws in the US. We're already seeing laws in NY and Cali being overturned (carry limitations, magazine capacity, CA assault weapons ban, etc.). Obviously they're appealing and it's still an uphill battle, but SCOTUS establishing the new standard for review of laws related to the 2A has completely changed the game - activist judges now can't apply their own interpretation the same way they have in the past. I'm genuinely optimistic that the right case might go all the way up the courts and overturn the GCA/NFA entirely. We're also seeing courts clamping down on ATF circumventing congress to change the laws around machine guns (bump stocks, force reset triggers, etc.). What social media companies, banks, etc. will do in the future is another question, but legally speaking things are looking much better for the future imo.

Andrettski

Thanks Wyatt for supporting TNP

Andrettski

My UGEtube doesn't ever work for me unfortunately.

Joshua Pulliam

Love the AKs Nutn! I’m one of the few running an AK as my GTW and WROL tac carbine. I have mine set up with Magpul furniture and a vortex red dot. I would love to add either an under folder or preferably a braced AK pistol to use as an HPAC gun. Or to possibly keep in the truck at all times. But the freakin ATF had go do ATF things. . . I’m considering adding a Keltec Sub 2000 to fill this role. I’ve seen them under $400 some places and they have a $100 rebate going on right now.

Joshua Pulliam

I agree. Things are looking up since Bruen.

Andrettski

Those 50 BMG tracers never get old. I have the P.A. Hellpup, it's my Zombie killer truck gun, been 100% so far. Mounted a Holosun 503CU Elite on an Attero Arms mount, Magpul and SB A3 furniture

Seeker Keyl

Part of me really likes AKs, but they're a purely second cool thing at this point for me. Shot a friend's and the recoil impulse was very pleasant. The main issue, at least in his, was the weight. Compared to my AR, th AK was HEAVY. Like AR10 heavy (or at least that is what it felt like). Plus I don't have any 7.63x39 ammo and it is not exactly cheap anymore ... might as well get a 300BLK at this point, since AAC is putting it out pretty cheaply these days.

Doug Richter

The blue table top reviews are my fave, never stop the blue table top reviews.

BadgerTails

LIKE # 62 for VALUE: Thank You. Yes, my primary GTW/ defend the homestead is the (hefty) AR-10T, with the M4/AR15s supplementing the arsenal. However, the AK world has survived this long for many reasons, and the primary one to me SHOULD be Glock-like reliability. My PSA GF3 was practically thrown out their back door, as far as QC was concerned and a co-worker had the exact same experience. I am enthralled with what Jim Fuller did to the AK industry, his interviews are priceless resources too! Yes, I've found the Wolf MIL Classic to be the most consistent as well, but as you mention it's still just minute-of-man shooting under 200m basically. Went to AK reviews, and remembered the VSKA, found the Elite Troopers on sale, order in along with (2) of the US Palm bake lite palm swell grips. Drive on TnPers, THRIVE on!

Elijah Ballard

Yah I’m not shooting anything but my 22’s and air guns.

BadgerTails

Yes, IMHO they are seeing that WE are THEIR last line of defense too, against the violent swell of criminals coming forth now. It's pretty horrendous.

BadgerTails

Century Arms side folders are still available, send me a DM

Alex H

I've always wanted an AK I should buy one at some point 😅

Lynn E Fite, Col (r)

With the situation at Lake City and a foreign business purchasing all the major US ammo plants, I have stacked my 556/223’s and 9mm and switched to shooting my G44 and Sig 522. I get a lot more practice Drills in.

Tacticaldoodle

The thing that really throws me is that nobody really aims for that draco/mini AK market like you'd think. Maybe it's the pistol imports that make it a total pain. But I'd like a Radom, just for the fun pedigree.....because it's pretty tough to tell the difference between all these AK's.

Tacticaldoodle

I love the object lesson of the stryker, it's such a great case study in modern arms procurement. Bought and divested in like, 10 years all so they could have the weapon they wanted for their last asymmetric war

JoMama

I love AK’s too! More AK reviews please!
