Here's a highly tested and beloved holster system in TNP, the Kenai chest rig. Sean and I do a quick review infield and as a bonus we'll talk about the Honda CRF300 too!

It is a nice holster! I bought one in September and used it as backup on a CO bear hunt in September. Walked through some thick brush, but never had any issues with retention.

Great hunting/backcountry holster. I have one for my 329pd. I like that it is a modernized guide holster. No leather to retain water. I wish they had light/optic compatible options. Glock 40mos with light and it’s an awesome bear/woods rig

Love this type content. Saving this for later even though its short form.

Don’t think you and Sean are the target audience for the Honda. For me: 5’-8”, 150lbs, it has “just enough power.” Honda could steal KTM’s blue prints, but the the bike would be twice as expensive, half as reliable, and use 1/3 more fuel. 🤷‍♂️

Quick and dirty, love it. Looks like a great option to add to the kit coral. Only question is if they have an option cut for an MOS red dot and moulded for a light. Doesn't look like it on OpticsPlanet... Edit: Looks like they do, and their custom configurator is pretty robust. Price does go up over $200 though.

Another great review Nutn! Could this be affixed to a molle plate carrier? I am in need of such a holster. This will be a likely purchase regardless!

Sean, that holster looks like it might bother your neck.??

TxEinstein

Sean's is wearing it kinda high. I wear mine lower on my chest for hiking.

I OWN THE CRF300L AND THE BIKE IS BETTER WITH THE FMF SYSTEM. BUT I MUST SAY ITS NOT MUCH OF A HIGHWAY BIKE AT ALL TO UNSTABLE

Seeker Keyl

I guess you use that for a motorcycle rig with the left-hand draw? I guess I would want some more retention/security in that pou. What say you in that regard?

put a smith and wesson 500 in 2 1/2 inch barrel oh wait that’s what i did three years ago great holster

Chris carr

It’s pronounced key-nye, named after the kenai river in Alaska

I found a Blackhawk Spec Ops holster and got that one.

I have had one for awhile, it is awesome. It's good for driving as well and not hard to cover up. My only gripe with it is that it is expensive. I understand it's a business and USA made and people gotta make money I get it. It's still kind of expensive though I think nutnfancy is right if it was 100 or 90 I'd probably have a few more of them.

Tacticaldoodle

I will never understand honda's target market of dudes who look at motorcycles and say "yeah but can you make sure it's SLOW?"

Racing Psychosis

That's a hard pass from me, I'll stick to my Safariland or Ragnarok on the belt.

I have one for my ruger super redhawk Alaskan 454 casull. No complaints although pricey like everything else these days.

I’ve seen this holster for years. Kinda interested. I’d spend the money if I knew I would like it. Don’t want to bury the holster under jackets. How easy is it to adjust the Fit as you put layers on and take them off??? I think the Honda 300 would work OK for me. Just trails and street riding. No mountains here.

Steve Feeser

BTW great video. Always love motorcycle stuff!! Holsters are real handy also!

Sgt Sly

It’s also important to understand that it’s an entry level “do-all” bike. It’s going to do everything a new rider can muster and give them a little room to grow and learn what it is they value. And for some, it’s simply “good enough.” To me, the CRF is like a Glock 19; it does most things well, but nothing spectacular. It’s affordable and reliable. It’s just “an gun”. Nothing special, but nothing bad.

Elijah Ballard

Cool. Something to run a full size under a carhart in the winter

I have one of these Kenai chest holsters for my Glock 20 w/TLR-1HL and love it! I use it when I’m out hunting and want a big pistol for dangerous game defense.

Scout154

I have been wanting of one these for awhile now!!
