S&W FPC PCC: S&W Getting It Mostly Right

This looks good! Any timeline on a jakl pistol .300 blk?

Johnny Motorcycle

PCCs are basically range toys IMHO. Dudes will turn their braced pistols into the ATF then buy the FPC.🤔

Cody Harring

Think PCC are just fun as well but not a primary. Hard to beat the KelTec Sub2000 gen2s for $250-280 currently after the $100 rebate from KelTec. Don't see spending 600+ for a PCC so that is why I do not own any others. Do think truck gun is an interesting POU if running cross compatible mags with pistol. Plus KelTec takes Glock mags so how can you go wrong.

brontoab1

It was an interesting gun until they dropped the not glock mag hammer. Come on S&W. I have zero interest in new magazine styles.

Silas Porter

It's a Smith & Wesson, why would it take Glock mags? I can't imagine that it would be easy or even possible to design a pistol frame with interchangeable mag wells. I run M&Ps, it's nice to have a PCC that integrates with my system. If you want a PCC that takes Glock mags there are plenty of other options. While the side folding does make it thicker to store, it doesn't interfere with the optic.

Brian Driver

The real reason guys keep firearms in different locations isn't for SHTF. It's so the wife only notices half of your collection.

Brian Driver

Sub 2k. If you have one. That's all you need.

Iowa Dave

My philosophy of use for the PCC is: #1 - fun; #2 - introducing new people to shooting. My Ruger PC Carbine in 9mm is always the favorite of new people I take to the range.

3jeep

I agree, I have noticed people want to shoot something more substantial than my 22 but the low recoil of a 9mm is perfect. New and experienced people at the range are always excited to shoot my Henry homesteader. Not to mention, that terrible video from a few years ago when the step dad shot the dad trying to pick up his son in Texas shows how effective a pcc can be.

Chase Ferguson

I have a ton of M&p mags and I have 4 Glock mags. I have 2 glocks and 5 M&p pistols so I have no use for Glock mag PCC lol 😂

kylenor

What I would really like to buy is the Hk Sp5 but boy that thing is pricey for a 9MM PCC. Honestly very hard to justify for me. I currently do not own a PCC but I will be looking out for the Gen 3 Sub 2ks when they become more locally available. TD makes a good point with the Glock mag compatibility. I have an M&P 2.0 9 but I have way more Glock mags.

Ian

Roger that? I'm sure you're familiar with the platform. With the folding brace, it's similar to a home grown Draco. The comparison in size and weight to this fpc would be interesting. I've been eying one for a while, being patient for a Nutn review before purchasing.

Chase Ferguson

Yes sir I do like my glocks but I have just always felt like I got more gun for my money with the M&P line so that’s where I have invested. But admittedly 75% of my buddies are all Glock.

Chris carr

Someday when I’m rich enough to buy a boom stick that’s not for a valid system ie hunting, gtw, carry, vbok, truck home defense and so on. Then I’m getting a pcc

VTFlatlander

I've experimented with PC c's for a while since my law enforcement days. I take back to the original patrol caliber carvings. Also I had a ruger for a while got rid of it. I've gone to the sub two k....... For my p o, u, it's great. My daughters are very comfortable with 9 mm and can transition to the sub. 2K perfectly, as well as being dead on balls. Accurate with it. It's also super light weight and easy to carry in a non descript bag if you want to be The innocuous gray man. Pardon my ignorance Lt Col Nuttin what is SWAC I guess my bottom line is for a pistol caliber car. Being the sub two k just matches perfectly with my thirty four seventeen and Twenty six

Hershey Roseman

I have the Sub2k Mseries (Mcarbo) multi mag. And I can't say that the FPC has anything that my Mseries doesn't have. I have a red dot that says zerod even after being zeroed.

Hershey Roseman

Keltec Sub2k Gen 3 looks like the move in the right direction. I still wish they came with irons

Preston Rayfield

Got the chance to shoot one of the FPC’s my uncle purchased one I have a Gen2 sub 2K and for the money and SWAC my choice is still the Kel-tec mine is employed in a system of home defense or WROL secondary patrol weapon modular with a Glock 17

Plumber Angelo

Very interesting review Nutn. Like everything in life, the PCC is a compromise. For someone like me in commiefornia, it definitely has a place unfortunately. I wish I could get a draco or AR pistol but that’s just not in the cards.

Michael Gere

Very heartwarming extra footage there at the end. THANKS!!

Dusty Sabedra

Love how you two always keep it real. To your point… if I am going to spend my hard earned money, I am going AR.

Cheesewell

I could be wrong, but haven't they made a new version of this, that takes Glock mags!? Swear I read that in a magazine somewhere recently. Maybe it was a dream.

CylindersNmags1987

If this came with iron sights I would be in. Not being ready out of the box seems a little ridiculous. I’m an M&P fan, but find this to be irritating.

Ben Wagner

Re the S&W grips: I love how they feel, but I had to change to the small grip insert to get my M&P9 2.0 compact to shoot well for me, even though it feels too small. I still shoot Glocks better, even though they don’t feel as “nice” in hand. Lesson: perceived ergonomics aren’t everything.

Ben Wagner

I love the savage honesty and mockery from TD.

Tom Duffy

Great watch, thanks fellas. I do own M&P and never owned any PCC but always keep tabs on them. I am an M&P user; full size and Shield and I love them... One reason I would use the FPC is to be compatible with that which I already own. My own .2c. It seems like it would be a cool option if I ever were to get one. POU would be home defense, compatibility, fun. Also, thanks for calling out the goofy magazine spacers S&W uses. My Shield uses these spacers, my M&P full size does not use them. On the Shield they are goofy and I hate them and forces one of the mags to occasionally not lock into place reliably without putting a little bit of forward (toward the front of the gun). Simply annoying, hopefully no issues with it on the PCC.
