Another by request GRV, I ran the Beretta APX1 Carry thru its paces in the desert. Lots of windy shooting shown. A first look it would seem the "Carry" is a bit last generation.  It kind of is: rounds limited is a reality with this gun. But seeing as how I carry the Glock 43 att, this format still plays in ROL for sure. So this super high value Beretta then still holds some surprises. For instance it was supremely accurate and reliable. I will answer "would I buy it" questions in the video and I bet the answers surprise.

Beretta APX1 Carry: Shoulda' Sucked but Didn't

I was wondering about this little gun, I thought about getting one, but already had a 365 so didnt pick one up!!

Appreciate the review. Seeing them for $300 with $50 dollar rebate from Beretta. Very nice deal- appropriate for a single stack nowadays I think!

Hold Fast Joe

great review! The 6 rounds could be a plus, each round at 115gr + add up fast. Ya usually want more but if thinking loaded carry weight, which it will hopefully be just that and never used, then this could be very good

PlantDaddy91

I could see this as a backup, but my carry is the P365XL and at double the round count... I'll just stick with what I have. And on the 365, I too am amazed that the accessory rail made it out of planning. I carry mine during the day, at work, outside and with little to no need for a light on it... otherwise, I might be pretty irritated by the "rail."

When Beretta puts these on clearance sale for $250 will be the time to snatch one up.

So a Gen 1 Shield competitor...... only 10 years too late. I'm sure it's fine, but out classed in 2024. I actually still rock my Gen 1 Shield, but looking to move to a hellcat pro or Canik MC9 SFX (which doesn't exist....yet)

Racing Psychosis

Or a Springfield XDS competitor with the same too late.

I've actually been looking very closely at one of these because as a double action shooter with small hands I'm strange and prefer heavy triggers and single stack guns, not to mention pretty much anything by Beretta. Perfect timing for a review!

Thebigcheese92

I have one and i really like it that prediction was spot on .The large trigger guard is great thats the first thing i thought about once i picked it up gloves wont get in the way also it looks good .I think it is very underrated.as far as the trigger i shoot mostly snub nose revolvers double action exclusively so i treat it the same way as i would my j frame and its worked for me . i would definitely buy another one but this time in gray .awesome review nutn.

Ruger max 9 !!! Affordable, reliable and capacity!!

David Eslamizar

I have a P365 with a Wilson Combat "frame". Two 17 rounders, one 15, and a 12 rounder in the pistol 😉

I see an OD Green APX 4.8" TB with supp sights, 3 mags at like 450 right now, after a rebate. My single stack BUG fr Duty is a Glock36; Glocks 1st single stack. Where are these made? Great review once again, great works! Oh damn, that Kusiak IWB with an olive ash claw and extra mag for the FN 5.7 is REALLY gorgeous....have you run one of those?

N. M. Robertson

Honestly, I love the way this pistol looks. And lots of people are still OK with 6+ one rounds for their daily carry gun, especially your suburban housewife/professional woman working in an office. I shoot every week with a group of retired ladies, and they are all carrying single stacks of various brands, the most common being the Smith & Wesson EZ slide. I personally find those to be snappy to shoot even though the slide is easy to rack. I'll stick with my Glock 42 and my super soft shooting Ruger security 380. the Ruger is not a light little pocket pistol. It's almost as large and as heavy as my Glock 19 fully loaded with 15 rounds. But it's a dream to shoot.

BadgerTails

Kusiak order in using your link, Old Fashioned IWB w/reinforcement and extra mag, for the FN 5.7. Made in USA, I'll try it out.

HappyFrancisMacomber

Completely understand your perfect reaction! My pops got this from PSA for $249 with a $50 rebate, shows it to me and I go “huh, looks like my Glock 30SF, but less power…a brick”…. I hold it, shoot it, realize I love it for what it is. Would buy.

They should have named this the Beretta 9-43 🤣🤣. I carry my G-43 everyday and have for years. I’ve looked at these a million times, as I am a huge fan of the Beretta 92 Series guns. But, at the end of the day I don’t see it doing anything that my G-43 can’t do. Thanks for the video.

Dustin

Would love to see you check out the FN reflex. Fantastic sights, great capacity. Phenomenal grip. Nice trigger. Really worth it imo.

kylenor

Nice to see a review on this one. I had forgotten that it was lower standard capacity. If I were to buy another carry gun, I would probably pick up the Masada slim. Great job as always!

BadgerTails

Yup, my G30 and 36 are the bomb, great entry level weapon here....or advanced.

Steve Feeser

That looks very similar to my Kahr P9 series. I’ve never seen the Beretta but I know the grip on my Kahr is very slim. Prolly slimmer than that 43. So the beretta would be good in a pocket. Don’t try that with a365.

Daniel

I loved my Nano 🤩❤️

Harold Galen McPheron

Your not a lone, I shoot the same way you do with my fingers on the trigger guard....

Sheepdog

I have a Ruger LC9S and carry with the 8 Round magazine. While it's not many rounds, it's been supremely good for program compliance. Appendix carry, works with everything I wear, even shorts and a T-Shirt in the summer.

I'm falling behind on my videos... just sorta caught this one on my way home from The Gathering yesterday. I'm guessing it was actually created quite a while back because I think they've been trying to blow these out cheap because of the very point you made. However, because of what I perceive to be the "blow out", I got one because it was a deal that I couldn't pass up. After the $50 rebate they were offering (which I got quickly), I got mine for $189 from PSA. I did have some issues with it which lead to a great customer service experience with Beretta. It's now 100% reliable and in my carry rotation. My only real gripe is that I had to pay for a flush (vs pinky extension) base plate. However, when the gun itself was less than $200, I can live with that. I carry it with the 6 rd flush plate in it and the 8 rd on my opposite hip. Same configuration as my PPS, which I prefer over the Beretta. However, I do find myself going back to my G26 frequently for the extra rounds.

David Englehart

I used to have an LC9s Pro as my primary carry but it became unreliable. I sent it back to Ruger and they took care of it. Basically the extractor became worn and was not extracting reliably. Be aware of that if you shoot it regularly. I probably had way less than 1,000 rounds through mine when it started malfunctioning. Great customer service and they resolved the issue but I didn't trust it anymore and ultimately replaced it with a Walther PPS, which is heavier but more ergonomic and easier to shoot well.

Sheepdog

Thanks good to know.

Illtake2chickens

Why are single stack 9mms no longer viable when guys praise the 5 shot revolver as an edc in low probability?

Jonathon Carrier

Watching this video in 2026. This gun isn’t worth $389, but $169 after a $75 rebate is a deal imo. 200 rounds and no issues so far

The Gates Family

I wouldn’t buy this. Dovetail on the plate. Single stack. I’d rather have a Glock 26
