I love that you're sticking to the visual theme with their kit, but is there any chance for a more standard looking lasgun at some point? Or, if not one like the ones they have in canon, some that suit the rifle look a bit more, maybe have them modeled after a G43?

I’ve been looking into that — trying to find a good design balance that could please everyone. Something that still fits the current style, but feels closer to a proper carbine.

The M2 Carbine could work, but I feel like a G43 or G41 that's just shortened a bit but still keeps the same general shape would work, or a STG 44, maybe with a straight mag to stick with the lasgun look. That, or you could go with something they commonly scrounged like one of the variants of PPD that the Soviets used? I feel like sometimes just sticking with the fictional source material rather than the real life inspirations might not be the worst idea.

Personally I'd like an option for the classic folding stock lasrifle so they'd fit with my older models, but that's just personal preference and I could probably just splice together myself if needed.
