Banner WIP (Patreon)

So I took so long on this banner image for twitter that they've already gone and changed their browser format, so now it's not even relevant anymore...but I AM planning on updating the front page of the patreon and needed a banner image for that so now I'm picking up this old piece and working at it again.

Not quite done yet, but I think I got inking and color palette down, so it's mostly noodling from here! I ended up going for a real romantical starry night back there to juxtapose against the whole "using my blood-magic sword makes me swoon and also we killed a bunch of monsters or something" vibe of the rest of the piece.

Secret worldbuilding note: the sword's name is Calamitus so I'm giving it it's own tag because it's ~kinda~ mildly sentient sometimes?
