Let's go! As a heads up right now, MBC Gayo Daejejeon will be airing tomorrow and the day after. (Broadcast was delayed because of the plane crash and the mourning period) I hope to have the playlist ready pretty quickly as well. That's a show you've watched the previous years as well, so I hope you can still find the time to fit that one in. But I guess after MBC, you're done with awards shows for the time being, right? KISS OF LIFE - Should I mention that I have a ticket to their concert in March? - They also did a One Piece concept for this song at The Fact Music Awards 👀 - Your reaction to Julie is all to relatable 😂 - That specific wide shot was used SO MUCH during that entire show and it drives me mad. Do they not want us to see what's happening on the stage? - I have to admit, I don't like Sticky nearly as much as most people but the live stages have always been ON POINT. - IMO their best award show stage was actually at the Asia Artist Awards where they performed Igloo and Get Loud. Shame that it's the only stage of AAA 2024 that actually properly stands out, otherwise I would've recommended that show to you as well. The rest of the AAA stages are good, just nothing spectacular that you wouldn't also see on a regular music show. NewJeans - And here we are. Their last scheduled performance as NewJeans. For the time being. I have no idea how things will move forward for them from now on. - „NewJeans Never Die“ That's something Danielle said at her acceptance speech at the Korea Grand Music Awards. It's become somewhat of a slogan for NJ and their fandom during these uncertain times. - The Supernatural choreo must be so exhausting with all the jumping and shuffling they do. - Yeah, the girls ARE pretty happy. Whatever is going on behind the scenes, they themselves seem to be pretty content about it. So I wouldn't worry too much for now. - If anyone tells you they know what's going on, they're lying. NOBODY knows. BIBI - She looks like she's being held hostage in that wedding dress. - And in that transition to Sugar Rush, the REAL Bibi comes out, hell yeah. - The remix goes crazy. LE SSERAFIM - The spooky concept is so good for them. - Absolutely mesmerising. - And the theme of bringing a different Crazy remix to every award show continues. This one might actually be my favourite. - Hey, Blade can be one of the Girls if you really want him to - You're so real for saying that. I THINK that Chaewon is still my bias but let me tell you, it's hard to stay loyal in this group. aespa - Should I mention that I have a ticket to their concert in March? - A crossover album with NCT 127? Well, the best you're gonna get for now is Zoo by Taeyong, Jeno, Hendery, Yangyang and Giselle. - Anyone got any advice for how I'm supposed to survive seeing Supernova live? 💀 (G)I-DLE - What a fucking statement this song and this stage is. - Going medieval on our asses. - To take a song like Super Lady and make it sound even grander, even more epic. How the fuck did they do that? - This is fun but I gotta be honest, these outfits and Fate do not fit with each other 😅 Would've preferred them to perform Revenge here, like they did at the KBS Song Festival. DAY6 - We got some b-sides here from their last two albums. - Man, it's about damn time I actually got into their music properly. Will do that soon! ZEROBASEONE - These guys are just real life fairytale princes, aren't they? - It's just a shame that I don't like Feel The Pop at all. YUQI - Cube pls release Radio on Spotify IVE - They look UNREAL, what the hell. - The rock version of Heya could be the best thing ever but they left out the final chorus 😭 - And this version of All Night is just not as good as either of the originals, I'm sorry. This guitar drop lacks the punch of IVE's original EDM drop and they don't have those impactful piecing vocals of Icona Pop. - It was really amazing at the concert however. Final song of the show and it would just NOT end. Endless All Night. ENHYPEN - Why yes Heeseung, I will marry you! - Sadly I must confirm that office work in reality is not this sexy. I wish it were. - Moonstruck has a really good shot at being my favourite Enhypen song. I'm so happy they included this here. - Yup, Moonstruck just fades out like that. GFRIEND - Can you imagine how emotional I was seeing this for the first time? Gfriend FINALLY back on the big stage! 🥹 - I just wish they had given them more stage time so they could perform the full versions of Rough and Time for the Moon Night. - This performance was the first time I heard Season of Memories and I loved it immediately. GFRIEND is BACK, is what I thought. What a perfect comeback song for them! - Since you seem to be so mesmerised by Yuju, may I recommend her solo music to you? Play and Dalala are really damn good songs 😄 TOMORROW X TOGETHER - Should I mention that I have a ticket to their concert in March? - Umbrella choreo! - I share your pain over the lack of a bridge 😩 - At least they make up for it with tHIS FUCKING PERFORMANCE OF I'LL SEE YOU THERE TOMORROW. WHAT THE FUCK. SEVENTEEN - Unit performances! And a live band! - Jesus, Water is so hype. - Hoshi's hair is absolutely fried 😅 - Water and Rain are the Hiphop Team and Performance Team b-sides from their latest album, respectively. And then there's Cheers to Youth by the Vocal Team, from the Best Of album. - You mean Jeonghan? He enlisted in September. And Jun is currently doing stuff in China. That's why those two aren't here. - AJU NICE. The eternal encore song of Seventeen! - What a way to end this show. Despite the best efforts of the camera operators, this was a damn amazing award show! Very excited to see what MBC brings these next two days. -DG keep the faith you will find an apartment. myself when I looked I was in my Lucky Vicky state of mind and it took me less than 3 weeks to find one - for me it is the best awards ceremony this year I loved it, the staging, the sets and the costumes, but it is true that sometimes the production focuses too much on wide or distant shots but it is especially between the performances that does not really spoil the work of the artists, except during the performance of Lesserafim where they do too many distant shots. -Kiss of life super staging cool costume and makeup and the girls are very charismatic performers. - New Jeans well to make a long story short, they refuse to perform under the name of New jeans in most of the appearances they make. they are in litigation with Ador and Hybe and want to leave these agencies. it takes time and they continue to be on stage for their fans. but sooner or later they will leave and probably change their name and agencies. whatever happens it will ruin their career a little because what they have accomplished under this name will not be able to continue. and they had the possibility of becoming one of the best kpop groups in history. now they will have to do like Viviz or Loona. - Bibi still so impressed to see Bibi "cute". I knew it I voted for Bibi's drama at that time because I suspected that it is what you wanted to see first. well the second Kdrama of your choice is used for that. in Knowing bros there is a special family relationship episode we see certain idols with their loved ones Belle and her father or Bibi and her sister DG watch this episode on occasion you will like it. -Lesserafim glad to see Pierrot's performance their performance is incredible I love the remix of Crazy. yes same as for IVE I am loyal to my girls from Produce and IZ * ONE so it's very hard to go over Sakura, Chaewon and Yunjin but I love Kazuha and Eunchae. -Aespa yes same a collab or a challenge between Aespa and XG could be really cool XG fits perfectly with the latest songs of Aespa. in any case another very charismatic and captivating performance. -(G)IDLE Big, powerful, fierce Soyeon is the Furiosa of KPOP, I love their stage and their costume. -DAY6 the best live band of kpop, perfect for this kind of event they should always invite them to each ceremony. -ZB1 a little disappointed with their performance, no particular set, or staging, very basic costume. they made a very shy little intro but anyway I love them but I didn't see any difference with their performance in a weekly music show. -Yuqi she's a monster and she has a phenomenal success her album sales have almost reached those of some members of Blackpink which was completely unexpected. she did better than the members of Twice solo, on stage she has a crazy presence. Yuqi has a very bright future ahead even after (G)IDLE I don't worry about her. -IVE my girls, my biases, I like the fact that they constantly manage to perform the same song with 15 different remixes. they closed all their concerts with All night so happy to see the song with a Rock version. they are in top form especially Wonyoung who has gained just enough weight to be absolutely perfect. all the girls are on top, Rebel Heart is already a hit and is number 1 everywhere, they are on sale everywhere, I can't wait for their new album. - Enhypen this is what I expect to see from a boy group in an awards ceremony, staging, dance break, set and story telling, ulrea syncro choreography BRAVO -GFRIEND glad to see the little tribute made to this fantastic group which is one of the most successful in history. I still can't believe that their agency disbanded them. yes their choreography is legendary, as I have often said Yuju is one of the top tier main vocals of this generation. - TXT our princes of kpop have once again shown their talent, however they were less good than Enhypen for this ceremony, they are very energetic but there was something missing for me. -Seventeen well it's the main event of the evening the new kings of kpop, they are really great performers. - I'm not going to make a ranking but just put on the 14 groups my 9 favorites of the ceremony. Enhypen, Seventeen, Yuqi, Ive, Lesserafim, GFriend, Aespa, (G)IDLE
