It's that time again, we just finished Newtopia and I want to know which drama you want us to watch next! Suggestions are not limited to just K dramas.PLEASE NOTE - I'd appreciate it if we did 1-2 suggestions per person. That way, more people could participate and be included in the poll next week, which only allows 25 options. Comments with more than 2 suggestions will be ignored.

Once again I recommend you The Good Bad Mother - exceptional cast and acting, touching, wholesome and emotional story. And another one, really hope you'll be willing to check it out, it's highly underrated one: Circle: Two worlds connected. Unique sci-fi korean drama that intertwines a present day mystery with a futuristic dystopia, exploring how technology and memory shape humanity. It has 12 episodes.

You already knew what I was going to put here 😄 But here goes: DARK "The distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion." - Albert Einstein A mystery thriller that starts out like a pretty standard crime drama in the first episode but quickly evolves into something much, MUCH greater. Involving a conspiracy that goes back 33 years into the past. This is the kind of show where, the less you know about it going in, the better. So I'll try to keep it as spoiler free as I possibly can. Quite simply, Dark is the best TV show I have ever seen. It's a slow burn at start but it ends up with the most complex and involved plot you could possibly come up with. The twists are honestly batshit insane. It's a snowball effect. Every question answered reveals five new mysteries. Everything is connected. The fun part about Dark is just trying to figure out how all these puzzle pieces fit together. I really feel like this would be a perfect show for you, with how you react to and analyse the things you watch. And the nice thing is: Dark has a proper ending. The entire show was completely planned out from the start. It seems absolutely impossible to come to a clean conclusion, especially with how insanely convoluted and confusing everything becomes just two episodes before the finale. But they absolutely stick the landing. Somehow they managed to answer every single question in a way that actually makes sense and provide us with an absolutely perfect and beautiful ending. Yes, this show is longer than the others we've watched here. 26 episodes in total. But believe me, it's worth it. Here's a trailer that gives you a really good sense of the vibe of Dark without spoiling any of the actual plot specifics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrwycJ08PSA

I think you mentioned this show once: Dark. It's a German show about time travel (there is more, but I leave it at that to not spoil something). But also about family relationships and personal trauma. I think this show will really fit your analytical mind. If you don't mind a little flattering ;-)

yasss but it's so looong but it deserves more recognition!!

I highly recommend "KARMA," a Netflix crime thriller show with only six episodes starring Running Man member Lee Kwang Soo. He delivered an outstanding performance.

Star Dust

Penny Dreadful. 3 seasons. A total of 27 episodes. What I really love is they planned this one from start to finish. They knew it would be 3 seasons, so they planned the episodes perfectly. It's beautifully crafted.

Dorian Gray

Can I recommend Bigbang TOP's movie Commitment? Not sure if its on Netflix US but I have the movie file which I can put on google drive or something. It comes with eng subs of course. (Edit: Here's the link for the movie file https://pixeldrain.com/u/rkjYL1Fv)

I recommend Kill Me, Heal Me! It's a rom-com that delves into mental disorders (DID), and I really liked how Ji Sung (the male lead) played out his roles. Here's a short preview with subtitles: https://youtu.be/jkLlJk2hsoc?si=NNE2UsFLSOLboeDY It's a relatively older series (released in 2015), but I hope you give it a try!

When life gives you tangerines! It’s amazing!

1. When Life Gives You Tangerines: (Romantic Comedy) - With IU as the main character, playing both mother and daughter in different timelines going back and forth. This drama follows the story of love and life struggles through poverty in a town on Jeju island. The story follows the mother starting in the 1950s and progresses into the 2000s where it continues by following the daughter and showing her journey for love and struggle in life as well. This one is a tearjerker for sure. A little on the slower side compared to most dramas but the story it follows is absolutely beautiful and is inspired but a real couple during that time. I cried nearly every episode, and sometimes to the point I had to pause because I couldn’t read the subtitles lol. 2. The Midnight Studio: This story revolves around 2 people, a lonely photographer and a lawyer. The photographer is bound by a family curse/contract to take the last and final portraits of the deceased before they pass on. The lawyer ends up in partnership with his studio. The studio is a unique space that serves only ghosts, and the series explores themes of life, death, and the preciousness of existence as they navigate their unconventional relationship and deal with the spirits who visit the studio. This drama is honestly really good. I don’t hear about it enough, it is totally underrated.

Hwarang Historical action drama with Min-ho (Shinee), V (BTS), Yae-ji (IOTNBO)

while you were sleeping one of my favorite dramas. and to think that after 4 years DG still doesn't know Bae Suzy

fabrice maire

-Mouse A thriller, personally the best South Korean drama in this genre. The subject of the drama is to deal with a question that many psychologists ask themselves. Are we born psychopaths or do we become so? Is it genetic? Or is it due to a bad social environment? This drama was one of the most popular on the tvN channel and one of the main actors is Lee Seung-gi. - While You Where Sleeping A magnificent drama that mixes romance, drama and fantasy. It is the story of a trio of friends who have the ability to see the future through their dreams. Thanks to this, they will try to prevent crimes and drama from happening. But things do not go as they would have liked.... The main actors are Bae Suzy, Lee Sang-yeob and Lee Jong-suk, a 3-star cast for a passionate and moving story.

"The Good Bad Mother" or "SKY Castle"

KDrama reaction

Hyena - I would say it's giving vibe of Vincenzo light, great actors cast. Mr Queen - this one is hilarious, but also a great story line, somehow they managed to combine Freaky Friday kinda story in historical drama, and it doesn't feel wrong.

Dorian Gray

Oh I love Signal! The best suspense crime kdrama I have ever watched even to this day. It deserves all the awards that it received back then. The dual timeline plot was amazing. The only other drama that can rival it is Voice S2.

jenn rocas

Hahaha! One of mine too! Hoping he will soon 😁

Maimona Mendy

1. Mr. Queen 2. Taxi driver Haven't seen anyone react/watch these 2 k-dramas. They are by far my favourites, not one boring moment.

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo It has both IU and Lee Joon-gi from flower of evil. It’s now available on Vikki 🤗

Omg I love this drama. I had it on dvd because for the longest time you couldn’t find it anywhere. I instantly rewatched it on VIKI when they re-added it because the subtitles on the DVD were so different lol

1) Moving: A show about teenagers and their parents with special abilities and secret agents. The backstories of those families are really well crafted. 2) Light Shop: A supernatural drama. It's a slow burner but after each episode you'll get a clearer picture. And the ending when everything has come together is a fantastic resolution.
