I think that by the end of the episode, I managed to identify almost every actor I recognized hahahah but I am sorry if it was a bit annoying 😅

P.S. - Yes, I will react to Season 2 as well.

Let's Go! Lot's of familiar faces in this one. Studio Dragon also did Vincenzo and Uncanny Counter among many other kdramas and they like to reuse actors. Jang Uk was in Deaths game where he was in prison, Dang Gu was the bully in deaths game who had a psychotic breakdown in prison thanks to Jang Uk, and Naksu was the girlfriend. The daughter of the Jin family is Arin from Oh My Girl Seo Yul is from nuest and was on season 1 of produce 101. He was not on Kingdom Legendary War with Max that was Yunho the other member of TVXQ! Not sure where you'd have seen him. Jung Somin as Mudeok is great in this. I love her condescending politeness. In my opinion IVE's Yujin looks very similar to her. Proof: https://youtu.be/K-7JdmBcQuI?si=yPi9waU4NSCgPBIH This show is like a live action anime and the CGI was pretty good for a kdrama. BTW Park Jin aka Mo Tak is not the king. He's kind of like the headmaster of the school of mages (Songrim) This is not my first time watching it so I will do my best not to spoil anything. I'm very much looking forward to your reactions to this show!

Yess can’t wait to watch this!! Also side note, would you ever consider reacting to a movie. I would really love to see your reaction to the new animated movie called Kpop Demon Hunters on Netflix. It is soo good.

Daniel Goland

I've been thinking about it, maybe in between the break that I will take when I finish either Earth Arcade season 1 or Weak Hero class 2! So probably some time in July!

Leenah B

My favorite kdrama! I'm excited for this journey with you!

Leenah B

The actress at the beginning for Naksu is the actress in Moving and Deaths Game! Edit: also main guy Jang UK is from deaths game as you called it

As good as this drama is, I'm going to fight like hell to get you to watch When Life Gives You Tangerines, next! Seriously..... 😂💚

Derek N

Yes! Thanks for reacting to this! I love this drama so much!

This might sound crazy, but I've never watched this drama. Well, I've known it for years and it has a very good reputation. But for some reason, every time I've had the chance to watch it, I've changed my mind at the last minute to watch something else.

DG I know you don't have a very good visual memory to recognize the actors. But still you didn't recognize MRS CHO from Uncanny counter???

Daniel Goland

I'm not sure why you said that, as I recognized her instantly and referred to her as Ms chu...

ri

the actor of Seo Yul is Hwang Minhyun from Nu'est and Wanna one. if im not mistaken he participated in produce 101 and was a star master in boys planet. maybe there you may have seen him

vivian

Had to join for this show, best thing ever produced !!

I'm new to this one. Generally, there's only one Kdrama left that I've seen but you haven't: Itaewon Class. Everything else I know has already been featured on this Patreon. And I don't even watch Kdramas outside of your reactions anymore, you keep me plenty busy - A period drama? - Why is Yum Hye-ran in every other show we watch? 😅 - I guessed that this would have fantasy elements but I wasn't expecting anime fights - I am confused and very intrigued. - I have a feeling that the king won't wanna go back to his original body after those seven days. - That's some proper dark forbidden magic here. - Yup, that king is an evil bastard. Not surprised. - And now we have some sort of elemental dragons. Sure. - Naksu is giving me Jedi vibes. - The actress is Go Youn-jung, who played Yi-jae's girlfriend Ji-su in Death's Game. - The guy that opened the gate there is Hwang Minhyun. Kpop idol and member of Nu'est and Wanna One (together with Kang Daniel and the lead actor from Weak Hero, Park Jihoon). He also made a guest appearance on Boys Planet. - Yes, the blonde guy is the „nose guy“ from Uncanny Counter. I'm honestly impressed that you recognise him, with how wildly different he looks 😅 - Jared already mentioned Jang Uk so I won't repeat - Damn, Naksu really got stuck with the worst possible body for her situation. She tries so hard to be badass 😂 - The woman running the brothel is played by Park Sojin, member of 2nd gen group Girl's Day. - And there's Arin! Man, a lot of idol actors in this one. - Ok, now I'm on the side of that monk from earlier, Jang Uk is an annoying little shit. - Prediction: Jang Uk and Naksu will eventually get along and then work together to find ways to open Uk's gate of energy and also get Naksu's powers back. - Well, it might take a while before we get there 😬 - You got so close, and yet so far. Minhyun had nothing to do with Kingdom at all. The second host was U-Know Yunho, the other member of TVXQ. - Oh, that's how we're gonna spin it? Jang Uk wants Naksu to train him? - One of the most interesting first episodes of a Kdrama I've seen. I am SO on board. Which is good because just the first season alone already has 20 episodes.

I’m so glad you reacted to this I love this series. Another great one is Dear Hongrang which also stars Lee Jae-wook on Netflix. I really hope you get a chance to watch it and would be great to rewatch it with you. As always thank you so much for the great content. I added the trailer link in case you’re interested. https://youtu.be/BfCrKi-ifl4?si=r6907r8KnT-ZJDV9
